Abstract

Constipation is a problem that often occurs in children and is a burden worldwide because of its increasing prevalence, the prevalence is estimated at 0.3% -8%. The prevalence of constipation in children up to 1 year of age reaches 2.9% and increases in the second year by about 10.1%. Massage as an alternative medicine is one of the constipation therapies. This study aims to determine the effect of massage therapy on constipation in infants aged 7-12 months at the Arrabih Pratama Clinic Pekanbaru. This type of research is quantitative with a Quasi Experiment design using a pretest and posttest. The population and sample of this study were babies aged 7-12 months who experienced constipation who visited the Arrabih Pratama Clinic Pekanbaru in July-December 2020, totaling 24 people. The type of data in this study is primary data, with univariate, bivariate data analysis, the hypothesis test used is the independent T test (paired sample test). The results obtained showed that there was an effect of massage therapy in overcoming constipation for infants aged 7-12 months before and after massage therapy, there was a significant difference in constipation for infants aged 7-12 months between the intervention group and the control group. It is hoped that health workers, especially midwives as providers of maternal and child health services, are expected to socialize the provision of massage therapy in dealing with children's complaints before administering pharmacological therapy.

Abstract

The number of MMR in Indonesia is high among ASEAN countries, one of the causes is the low level of health services obtained during pregnancy. This condition can be prevented by regular and focused ANC by midwives who are skilled at therapeutic communication so that the visit of K1-K4 pregnant women can be realized. Pekanbaru has a coverage of K4 pregnant women visits that are still below the target, lower than K4 coverage in several other districts in Riau Province, one of the causes is due to the lack of maximal therapeutic communication for midwives in providing midwifery care. The purpose of this study was to determine how the stages of Therapeutic Communication of Midwives Delima in Antenatal Care services in Pekanbaru City. This study uses a qualitative approach, observation techniques, in-depth interviews, literature and documentation. The data collection technique was purposive, the informants were 4 midwives, 4 pregnant women patients in 4 clinics in the city of Pekanbaru. This research approach uses the phenomenological method with constructivism paradigm and symbolic interactionism theory. The results showed that the therapeutic communication performed by the midwife was not in accordance with the recommended therapeutic communication phases so that the benefits of the care were not maximized. It is hoped that midwives can improve their therapeutic communication skills properly according to the recommended stages so that the benefits of midwifery care provided can further increase patient knowledge, patient motivation and confidence in being able to give birth normally.

Abstract

Dengue fever is a public health problem in Indonesia with high morbidity and mortality and has the potential to cause extraordinary events (KLB) and / or epidemics as well as to impact the economic loss of society. Dengue fever is a vector-borne disease. Dengue fever contributed 204,171 (47.87%) of the number of sufferers due to five vector-borne and zoonotic diseases in Indonesia in 2016 and ranks second after malaria. Efforts to eradicate mosquito vectors can be carried out through eradication of mosquito nests (PSN). The high density of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes has a high risk of transmitting mosquitoes for dengue transmission. Larva Free Rate (ABJ) is a measure of vector eradication efforts through the PSN-3M showing the level of community participation in preventing dengue. Sibolga City is one of the municipalities in North Sumatra Province. Sibolga City consists of 4 districts. The number of dengue cases in Sibolga City in 2016 was 103 cases, where the highest cases were in North Sibolga District, with 40 cases (4). This type of research uses descriptive method. This descriptive study aims to determine the density of aedes aegypti larvae. Time and place of research The research was conducted in August - November 2020 in Angin Nauli Village, North Sibolga District. The population and samples are all houses that have containers in Angin Nauli Village. Sampling was done by total sampling. The number of households in Angin Nauli Village is 858 households. This research should be useful for future researchers, and it is suggested to be a reference for the same research with a larger number of samples and in different places.

Abstract

One disease that is becoming a trend today is hypertension. One billion people are having problems with hypertension that triggers stroke and heart events. This study aims to determine the risk factors for the incidence of hypertension in the Work Area of Bunturaja Public Health Center, Dairi Regency in 2018. This type of research is analytic observational with a case control study design. The population of this study were all patients who visited the Bunturaja Community Health Center in 2018 and recorded in a medical record book. The study sample was patients who had hypertension and did not suffer from hypertension with a ratio of cases and controls 1: 1 consisting of 33 cases and 33 controls. Data analysis was performed with CI = 95% and using odds ratio (OR) test. The results of the Chi Square test in the case group showed that there was a significant relationship between diet and hypertension p = 0.001 and the OR = 0.6548 CI (0.206-2.076). There is a significant relationship between activity and the incidence of hypertension with a value of p = 0.000 and OR = 0.10 CI (95%) = 0.120-2.318. Smoking habits had no significant relationship with p> 0.05 (p = 0.091 and OR 1.834 (CI = 0.667-5.037). There was a significant relationship between drinking alcohol and hypertension with an OR value of 2.356 (CI = 0.413-13.449) p value <0.05, namely (0.02). There was no significant relationship between stress levels and the incidence of hypertension with a p value = 0.210 and an OR of 1.578 (0.569-4.381). It is recommended that Bunturaja Puskesmas further increase the BINDU POS (posyandu for non-communicable diseases at the age of 15-44 years) so that it is easy to detect people with hypertension, especially in young adults The need for blood pressure checks, regular medication, and living a healthy lifestyle.

Abstract

Hypertension is a non-communicable disease which is still a global health problem. Hypertension is a condition in which systolic blood pressure ≥ 140 mmHg and diastolic pressure ≥ 90 mmHg on two measurements with an interval of five minutes in a resting state (1). Uncontrolled disease can cause a 7 times greater chance of having a stroke, 6 times greater congestive heart disease, and 3 times greater heart attack is a non-communicable disease which is a very serious health problem today called hypertension.(2). "Silent killer" One of the PTM which is a very serious health problem is hypertension and can be called an iceberg phenomenon. The diagnosis of hypertension is made if a systolic blood pressure (TDS) ≥140 mmHg and / or diastolic blood pressure (TDD) ≥ 90 mmHg is obtained on two measurements at different times (3). Based on WHO data, in 2014 there were around 600 million hypertension sufferers worldwide. The highest prevalence occurs in the African region, which is 30%. The lowest prevalence is in the American region at 18%. In general, men have a higher prevalence of hypertension than women. The highest prevalence occurs in the African region, which is 30%. The lowest prevalence is in the American region at 18%. In general, men have a higher prevalence of hypertension than women (4). The results of the 2018 Riskesdas reported that the prevalence of hypertension in North Sumatra was 45.69% in the age group over 60 years for outpatients. Based on the disease that causes the death of inpatients at the District / City Hospital of North Sumatra Province, hypertension is in the first rank with the proportion of deaths of 27.02% (1,162 people), in the age group ≥ 60 years of 20.23% (1,349 people) ( 5).

Abstract

The pathophysiology of how the labor process changes the molecular and biochemical changes of the pelvic floor, especially the vaginal wall, causing the female pelvic organ prolapse is not clear. This change is presumed through the mediation of changes in Matrix Metalloproteinase 9 (MMP-9) and Tissue Inhibitor Matrix Metalloproteinase 1 (TIMP-1). Therefore, this study aims to determine changes in MMP-9 and TIMP-1 in postpartum. This research is an observational cohort study on female rats Rattus norvegicus Wistar strain. Replication used was 5 individuals for each nulliparous group, postpartum day-1, day-3 and day-7. Selection of mice by using random allocation. The vaginal wall tissue slides were stained with immunohistochemistry. MMP-9 and TIMP-1 expressions were calculated and analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The results of this study indicate that there is a significant difference (p = 0.007) mean expression of MMP-9 per visual field on the vaginal wall among nullipara (11.2 ± 1.304), postpartum day-1 (13.2 ± 2,387), day- 3 (12.6 ± 2.191), and day-7 (8.0 ± 2,550). There was an increasing trend of MMP-9 expression on the 1st day postpartum, then MMP-9 gradually decreased until postpartum on the 7th day. The results in this study also showed that there was a significant difference (p = 0.028) in the mean of TIMP-1 expression on the vaginal wall between nulliparous rats (11.6 ± 1.342), postpartum day -1 (15.4 ± 3.130), day -3 (13.2 ± 2.683), and day-7 (10.8 ± 1.483). There was increased expression of TIMP-1 day-1 postpartum than nullipara, then decreased gradually until the 7th day postpartum.

Abstract

Corona Virus Disease-19 (Covid-19) is declared a world pandemic that has resulted in thousands of deaths in 216 countries around the world. The emergence of this disease at the end of December 2019 in Wuhan (China) was a result of zoonotic transmission. This study seeks to assess the acceptance of the COVID-19 vaccine in the world. The results of this research are expected to contribute to the government in formulating the best approach to implement the mass vaccination program for COVID-19 in Indonesia, as well as other countries in the world, in the future. Survey of empirical studies and analysis of articles related to the prevalence analysis of knowledge, perceptions, conspiracies, beliefs, acceptance, attitudes, behavior, willingness to pay for the covid-19 vaccine in a cross-global study. The concerns and doubts about the covid-19 vaccine were caused by factors, including: 1) the emergence of a conspiracy related to the covid-19 vaccine, including the risk of side effects of infertility, 2) misinformation on social media related to the covid-19 vaccine (untrue news / hoax), 3) tendency of parents to be more likely to receive the vaccine for themselves than their child, 4) ethnicity Blacks are almost 3 times more likely to reject the COVID-19 vaccine than white participants, 5) More than 50% of citizens are willing to pay for the vaccine and 72% feel the vaccine should first be given to health workers and high-risk groups. To increase awareness and acceptance of the importance of the covid-19 vaccine as an effort to increase immunity to prevent the onset of covid-19, efforts are needed, including: 1) a structured awareness campaign (health promotion) is needed globally, 2) policies government regarding the importance of careful fact-checking (spreading hoax news) related to vaccines, 3) a strategic approach considering various economic classes of society can be applied in developing countries, 4) increasing risk perceptions in the community, 5) developing a model for vaccine payments and subsidizing some vaccines for them those who are less capable, 6) the implementation of post-efficacy tasks in a timely and coordinated manner will make the pandemic effective and efficient
