Abstract

School management is very necessary in educational institutions, because school management can help in managing work at school. However, quite a few schools do not have a school management system, due to a lack of facilities and budget for school operations. Mi Ma'arif NU Salafiyah is one that requires a school management system. Data management is not well organized, and there is no school bell as a sign of time, so that there are often delays in entering class, taking a break and returning home from school when teaching and learning activities (KBM) take place. In this research the author used quantitative methods and produced a school management application system. In school management, this includes management systems such as automatic bells, manual bells, teacher absences, recording late students, teacher data, student data, subject data, class data, and web-based teacher teaching scheduling in classes. In the design, modeling or design will be used using Unified Modeling Language (UML). This management application system will later use the Waterfall method as a system development method, using programming languages such as PHP, CSS, Javascript, supported by MySQL as a database system, using the Bootstrap framework as front-end development on the website, and DomPDF is used as one of the libraries PHP to create PDF. The results of this research refer to a web-based school management system which was then implemented, then became a school management application at the Mi Ma'arif NU Salafiyah school, so that later school management could be smarter, more effective and efficient, as well as better in data processing, and can reduce errors due to human error.

Abstract

To achieve sustainable tourism, a monitoring system of tourism activities is needed to minimize the environmental impact of the intensity of tourist visit activities. The development of coastal tourism needs particular attention, considering the diversity of activities around the coast related to environmental sustainability, including coral reefs. This study designed an information system and database to monitor coastal tourism activities to minimize the risk of damage to the coastal environment due to tourism activities. The method used in system design is Rapid Application Development (RAD), which has the following stages: requirement planning, user design, construction, and cutover. Meanwhile, the system and database design context is adjusted to the tourist destinations of Luari Beach, North Halmahera Regency, North Maluku Province, Indonesia. The results of this study show that identifying user needs at the requirements planning stage shows the need for a database of tourists visiting the destination and data related to the vehicles used. There is a need for a database related to beach conditions or beach environments and data on people involved as small entrepreneurs around coastal tourist areas. Considering the user's needs, at the user design stage, a prototype design is carried out using Oracle Apex with a dashboard display according to the data needed. At the construction stage, database configuration is carried out to display data visualization so that managers of beach tourist destinations understand the context and priority. System features and functions are tested at the cutover stage to evaluate application performance. The cutover result shows that successful applications can be used in decision-making. Thus, tourism destination managers take infrastructure development policies following existing conditions and short-, medium-, and long-term development plans.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with an area of 1.9 million km2 that is rich in diversity, including different languages in each region. This language diversity gives each region its own characteristics. However, in the 21st century, we witness the phenomenon of losing polite values in speaking using local languages. This is due to the influence of western culture that has penetrated Indonesia, especially through technological advances and television broadcasts that often show city and foreign cultures. One of the threatened cultures is the use of Javanese language which is increasingly rarely used. Javanese language is unique with unggah-ungguh as a differentiator from other regional languages. The rapid development of technology, especially in the world of education, requires that we make the best use of it, but still maintain and preserve ancestral heritage, such as Javanese. This research aims to design an optimal UI/UX design for Javanese E-Learning platform on Android device, focusing on UCD approach. Then after successfully designed, SUS calculation was done and obtained an average SUS value of 77.5 which means this design is good to continue to the application development stage. The target in this research is early childhood, researchers took the object of one of the MI in Banjarnegara Regency, namely MI Muhamadiyah Kalilandak.

Abstract

One of the challenges of tourism development in North Halmahera Regency is integrating technology in decision-making to determine leading and priority tourist destinations. Thematically, the ecology-based tourism development approach is the concept of ecotourism that balances environmental sustainability with tourism economic growth; however, tourism databases and information systems need to be developed by considering economic, socio-cultural, and environmental distribution and growth. This research adopts the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method in designing the Community-based Ecotourism Monitoring System. The stages in the RAD method consist of requirements planning, user interface design, construction, and cutover stages. At the requirement planning stage, this system will accommodate three main aspects: local attraction, local transportation, and local accommodation. A local attraction focuses on ecotourism development approaches, while local transportation refers to local transportation services managed individually or community-based. In addition, local accommodation refers to the business of homestay accommodation services as a form of community participation in tourism activities. At the construction stage, the instrument used in designing this system database is oracle-apex, which utilizes map, classic report, and form (modal dialog) features. Features and functions are tested at the cutover stage, and access rights restrictions are provided based on administrator, user, and viewer roles. The system design results show that policymakers must support community involvement in each tourist destination in determining priority areas for ecotourism infrastructure development. The testing result shows that all the features and operators are thriving and ready to be used. Thus, implementing RAD in the design of a community-based ecotourism monitoring system can be adapted to the context of ecotourism in North Halmahera Regency, North Maluku Province, Indonesia.

Abstract

The process of selecting creative team members in the creative industry poses complex challenges. While aspects of formal and technical qualifications can often be clearly measured, elements such as creativity, innovation, and cultural fit are subjective factors that are difficult to measure objectively. Conventional selection methods are often not able to fully incorporate these qualitative aspects, which sometimes results in less precise or less than ideal evaluations. The criteria used in the selection of creative industry teams are portfolio, experience, innovation, technical skills, and collaboration. This emphasizes the need for research and development of more sophisticated and scalable selection methods in the context of the creative industry. The use of a Decision Support System (DSS) is the main focus for handling the problem. applying the ROC (Rank Order Centroid) method, which is utilized to give weight values to the selection criteria, and ARAS (Additive Ratio Assessment), which is utilized to provide the results of creative team selection decisions in the creative industry. The results of the study show that Lolly gets the highest score, which is 1.00000, and is selected as the most suitable creative team for the creative industry.

Abstract

This research discusses a comparison of two grouping algorithms, namely K-Means and K-Medoids, in the context of class grouping for new master's program students. Choosing the right clustering algorithm can help universities optimize resource allocation and maximize student learning experiences. K-Means is a popular clustering algorithm, which works by dividing data into a number of homogeneous groups based on the distance between data points and the cluster center. Meanwhile, K-Medoids is a variation of K-Means that uses actual data points as a cluster representation, which makes it more resistant to outliers. This research involves a dataset of new master's program students which includes various attributes, such as entrance exam scores, educational background, and major preferences. The comparison results between K-Means and K-Medoids were carried out by considering clustering evaluation metrics such as SSE (Sum of Squared Errors) and Silhouette Score. Experimental results show that the performance of K-Means and K-Medoids differs depending on the characteristics of the dataset. K-Means tends to produce more homogeneous groups, but is more sensitive to outliers. In contrast, K-Medoids tend to be more stable in dealing with outliers, but may produce less homogeneous groups. Therefore, the selection of an appropriate clustering algorithm should be based on the specific goals and characteristics of the new master's program student population. This research provides valuable insight for colleges in planning the allocation of classes, mentors, and other resources for new students. The right decisions in class grouping can increase student retention, learning satisfaction, and academic success. In addition, this research also stimulates further discussion in combining different clustering methods to achieve more optimal results in grouping classes of new master's program students.
