Abstract

The obesity rate in Indonesia has increased from 14.8% to 21.8% from 2013 to 2018. Especially obesity in pregnancy is a problem that can threaten pregnancy until delivery and become one of the risk factors associated with caesarean delivery. The results of research in America state that almost 50% of cesarean deliveries are women who are overweight or obese before pregnancy. This type of research uses literature review. This literature review seeks to establish the correlation between the risk factors associated with obesity during pregnancy and the occurrence of cesarean delivery.. The method of searching articles or journals using boolean operators and keywords (OR NOT, AND or AND NOT). The selection criteria employed encompassed articles that were available in their entirety via national and international database searches, spanning the period of the past decade (2010-2020). The results based on a literature review of 8 journals found that 6 of the 8 articles stated that there was an association between the risk factors of obesity in pregnancy with the incidence of cesarean delivery, Contrary to the previous two papers, our findings indicate that there is no connection between the likelihood of cesarean delivery and obesity in women. The literature study concludes that there is a correlation between obesity during pregnancy and the occurrence of cesarean birth. Although it is necessary to conduct more primary research related to this topic.

Abstract

Adolescent girls are susceptible to anemia because they bleed during menstruation. If it continues into pregnancy, anemia can cause the fetus to experience stunting in the future. The percentage of stunted babies and toddlers in Indonesia in 2021 will reach 24.4%. This study aims to determine the relationship between hemoglobin levels and menstrual patterns in adolescent girls. This research is a quantitative observational research with a cross sectional research design. The sampling technique used Cluster Random Sampling with a sample size of 76 respondents. Data analysis used the Pearson Correlation Test and Spearman Correlation Test. Based on the research results, there was no significant relationship between hemoglobin levels and menarche (p value 0.626). There is a significant relationship between hemoglobin levels and menstrual duration (p value 0.0001) and a strong inverse correlation (-0.693). There is a significant relationship between hemoglobin levels and the menstrual cycle (p value 0.0001) and a moderate correlation (0.485). There is a significant relationship between hemoglobin levels and the incidence of dysmenorrhea (p value 0.0001) and a strong correlation (0.691). Female students are advised to maintain diet, rest and exercise patterns so that the hemoglobin formation process is optimal and menstrual patterns are normal.

Abstract

The global population of menopausal women in 2021 is 26% of all women and girls. Anxiety is usually caused by the fear of new problems arising and causing mental emotional disturbances. The rate of anxiety symptoms rises from 3.1% prior to menopause, to 7.0% during the transition to menopause, and further to 7.4% in the post-menopausal phase. Treatment of roselle in rats exposed to stress significantly reduced plasma corticosterene levels and increased brain serotonin levels. Gosypetin contained in roselle is effective as anti-depression and anti-anxiety with a dose of 20 mg/kg. Finding out how roselle affected anxiety in postmenopausal women was the goal of this research. The procedure uses a Quasy Experimental design with a control group that includes a pre- and post-test. Respondents used were 90 divided into 2 groups, namely intervention (45 respondents) and control (45 respondents) in Ngadirejo and Semampir Villages, Kediri City. The sampling technique used simple random sampling. The intervention group was given standard care and roselle extract as much as 1 x 1 500 mg for 5 days, while the control group only received standard care. With a p-value of 0.000, the experimental group's Paired Sample T-Test for anxiety revealed statistically significant findings. In contrast, a p-value of 0.572 was observed for anxiety in the control group. On the difference between posttest anxiety p-value 0.021.  Roselle can reduce anxiety in menopausal women. This study is expected to help health workers to provide roselle extract to menopausal women who experience anxiety as an alternative treatment.

Data collection used the Rhodes Index Nausea Vomiting and Retching questionnaire, then analysis with Wilcoxon and the Mann Whitney Test. The research results showed that the mean score before intervention in the treatment group was 15.86 and after the intervention it was 6.95 (mild emesis gravidarum). The mean score of pre-test in the control group was 16.76 and the post-test was 13.24 (moderate level of emesis gravidarum). This study showed that there is an influence of PC6 acupressure on emesis gravidarum in fisrt trimester pregnant women (p value=0.001<0.05). Abstract

The incidence of anemia in pregnant women in Indonesia is still relatively high, namely 48.9%. This shows that anemia in Indonesia is quite high and is approaching a serious public health problem with an anemia prevalence limit of more than 40%. The aim of this study was to identify risk factors for anemia in pregnant women. This research method is cross-sectional; the research subjects are pregnant women at the Tanjung Karang Community Health Center from January to July 2023, with a sample size of 170 pregnant women. Historical data analysis uses bivariate analysis with the Chi square method. Results of data analysis show that the highest age is 20-35 years, 66 years, and the lowest age is >35 years, 5%, depending on the fetus's condition. The highest was in women with multiple pregnancies, 44 years, and the lowest was with multiple pregnancies, 13 years. The results of data processing show that the maximum maternal age is 112 pregnant women, or 66% with reproductive age, namely 20–35 years of age. In this age group, 50% of pregnant women experience anemia, and 16% do not experience anemia. The statistical test results obtained a value of p=0.298. (P > 0.05), this shows that there is no relationship between maternal age and anemia in pregnant women. There were 73 primigravidas, or 38%, and 64 of the 170 pregnant women experienced anemia, while the remaining 9 people, or 3%, did not experience anemia. The statistical test results obtained p = 0.003, which means there is a relationship between gravida status and the incidence of anemia. The results of this study showed that there was no relationship between age and the incidence of anemia, and there was a relationship between gravida status and the incidence of anemia.

Abstract

World Health Organization states that the number of deliveries using cesarean section continues to increase globally. Women with pre-sectio caesarea surgery will experience anxiety. One of the things that can affect a pre-caesarean woman's anxiety level is her husband's support. The purpose of this study is to ascertain the association between pregnant women's anxiety levels before to cesarean section surgery and their husbands' support. Correlational analytical research using a cross-sectional design is this kind of study. Forty expectant women scheduled for cesarean sections in the X Hospital Denpasar delivery room comprised the study's sample. Chi-Square analysis was performed on the data. Of the 40 research respondents, 22 pregnant women (55.0%) received good support from their husbands in facing cesarean section surgery and 18 pregnant women (45.0%) received less support from their husbands. Twelve pregnant women (30.0%) reported having mild anxiety, sixteen (40.0%) reported having moderate anxiety, and twelve (30.0%) reported having severe anxiety. Pregnant women's anxiety levels prior to cesarean section surgery are correlated with their husbands' support, according to the Chi-Square test results (p-value = 0.044).For this reason, every husband should provide support to reduce his wife's anxiety level before a cesarean section.
