This research aims to determine the influence of word card media on the initial reading ability of grade 2 students of SDN 1 Penedagandor. This type of research is experimental research with repeated treatment research design. The subjects in this study were 2nd graders of SDN 1 Penedagandor who numbered 20 people. The method of data collection is observation and the initial reading ability test. The reading ability test is used to obtain data related to the student's initial reading ability, while observation is used to obtain data on learning conducted by the teacher. The data obtained later in the analysis uses the formula anova repeated measure. Before testing the hypothesis the data obtained were first tested for normality and homogeneity of the data. Based on the results of the anova repeated measure test, the significance value was 0.000, which is smaller than 0.05. This indicates that Ho was otherwise denied Ha was declared acceptable. Based on these results, it can then be concluded that the word card media affects the reading ability of 2nd graders at SDN 1 Penedagandor in the 2020/2021 school year.

Lack of independence of students solving problems with friends while playing or when the learning process is taking place. The problems that occur often make the parents intervene. Related to this problem, there is a game method that can train student cooperation and responsibility, the game is usually called Gobak Sodor. This game has a positive impact on students' attitudes and behavior. Thus, the writer wanted to know whether there was a significant effect of giving the traditional Gobak Sodor game on student behavior. The research technique used is to use quantitative methods. The research instrument used was a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used paired sample t-test, based on the results of the pretest and posttest, the average value of student behavior was 42.97 and the post-test was 46.94. The results of hypothesis testing obtained the value of Sig. (2-tailed) <0.05 at the pretest and posttest with a value of 0.000 <0.05. In accordance with hypothesis testing, namely the value of Sig. (2-tailed) <0.05, then Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected. This shows that there is an effect of giving the traditional Gobak Sodor game on student behavior.

This study aims to determine the effect of the fun thinkers' book media on understanding the science concept of class V MIN 3 Lombok students in the middle of the 2020/2021 school year. This research is a quantitative research method with Quasi-Experimental Design type Nonequivalen Control Group Design. The population in this study were all students in class V while the sample was class VB as the experimental class and class VA as the control class. The instrument used was a test to measure conceptual understanding and observation to determine the feasibility of learning using the fun thinkers' book media. The post-test average score of the experimental class students was 73.15, the control class was 63.96. Post-test learning outcomes data were analyzed using non-parametric tests, the results obtained were Sig.2-tailed value <0.05 (0.012 <0.05) at the 95% confidence level. This shows that the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, which means that there is a difference in the mean value of the experimental class and the control class, it can be concluded that there is an effect of the fun thinkers' book media on the understanding of the science concept of class V MIN 3 students. Lombok in the middle of the 2020/2021 school year. The media fun thinkers book media can provide a better understanding of the concept, the researcher suggests the teacher use the fun thinkers' book media as an alternative in solving students' conceptual understanding.

Educational Democracy is a view of life that prioritizes equal rights and obligations as well as an equal treatment between educators and students in the learning process. Democracy in education contains elements of independence, freedom, and responsibility. An independent attitude to develop self-confidence and to be aware of one's limitations is very important to foster awareness that life in the community requires collaboration with other individuals. Freedom is defined as a life purpose that rests on the awareness of social pluralism, not solely on the interests of individuals or groups. Therefore freedom itself must be accompanied by a sense of full responsibility. The word "Educational Democracy" is two terms which are interrelated, democratic values can be understood and owned by the community through educational activities, and vice versa so that education can produce output that has an independent attitude, has a critical thinking power, dynamic, democratic character and always upholds human dignity, then the implementation of education must be based on democracy so that the concept of independence in learning will grow well.

This research is a qualitative study of Whole Word case studies and VAKT (Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic, and, Tactile) strategies for children with special needs to develop functional skills in reading and writing beginning. The subjects in this study were selected using the procedure for determining the subject in qualitative research proposed by Sarantakos in Poerwandari (2005), namely: 1) Directed not at a large number of participants but at typical cases according to the specificity of the research problem, 2) Directed at context fits and is not used for representativeness in the sense of random numbers or events. From the explanation above, the researcher then determined the research subjects/participants as follows: 1) The subject was a child aged 8 years who was at the elementary level of elementary education, and 2) the subject was a child with special needs who experienced obstacles in developing writing and reading skills. Data collection methods were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation of field notes during data mining. Data analysis was performed by comparing the subject's initial condition before being stimulated with the subject's initial condition after stimulation was carried out. The results of data analysis indicate that the application of the whole word approach and the VAKT strategy can be used to help develop reading and writing skills for children with special needs.
