Abstract

This study analyzes the role of financial literacy and digital literacy in improving the performance of medium-sized enterprises in Bengkulu City. The main problem studied is the low growth rate of MSMEs due to limited understanding of finance and digital technology. The study used a quantitative approach with purposive random sampling technique on 273 respondents from a population of 1,102 medium enterprises. Data were collected through a questionnaire measured by a Likert scale and analyzed using multiple linear regression. Prior to analysis, data quality test, classical assumption test, and model feasibility test were conducted. The results showed that financial literacy has a significant positive effect on the performance of medium-sized enterprises with a significance value of 0.001<0.05, proving that an understanding of budgeting, savings, loans, and investments contributes to performance optimization. Digital literacy also has a significant positive effect on business performance with a significance value of 0.001<0.05, indicating that the ability to utilize digital technology increases efficiency and competitiveness. The coefficient of determination of 73,7% indicates that both variables play an important role in explaining the performance of medium-sized enterprises. The study concluded that strengthening financial and digital literacy is an effective strategy to improve the performance of medium-sized enterprises in facing the competitive digital economy era.

Data was obtained through online questionnaire distribution and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS Statistics 22 software. The findings show that both independent variables have a significant influence on customer interest. Among them, Islamic service quality has the dominant influence with a regression coefficient of 0.464, followed by Islamic promotion at 0.357. The model is able to explain 50.9% of the variation in customer interest in the product, while the remaining 49.1% is influenced by other factors outside this study.

Abstract

This research investigates how emotional and spiritual intelligences affect students’ grasp of financial accounting, with learning motivation serving as an intervening factor. Employing a quantitative design and analyzed through Partial Least Squares–based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS), data were gathered via questionnaires from 193 accounting undergraduates at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Bengkulu (semester 5 or above) who have completed Financial Accounting I, II, and III, selected through purposive sampling. Findings indicate that emotional intelligence exerts a positive, significant direct impact on accounting comprehension, and spiritual intelligence likewise shows a positive, significant influence. However, emotional intelligence does not significantly predict learning motivation, whereas spiritual intelligence strongly drives it. Moreover, learning motivation mediates only the link between spiritual intelligence and accounting understanding, not the connection involving emotional intelligence. These results underscore the value of embedding spiritual dimensions into the curriculum to bolster students’ intrinsic drive and mastery in financial accounting.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between financial behavior and financial literacy on financial stress experienced by college students, with family economic capacity acting as a moderator variable. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through structured questionnaires distributed to college students from various economic backgrounds. This study used multiple regression analysis to assess the direct and moderator effects between these variables. The results of the study indicate that financial behavior and financial literacy significantly affect college students' financial stress. College students with higher financial literacy tend to manage their financial stress more effectively. In addition, the moderator role of family economic capacity shows that college students from families with higher economic stability experience less financial stress, even when financial behavior and literacy levels are less than optimal. This study contributes to understanding the dynamics of financial stress in college students, emphasizing the importance of improving financial literacy and considering family economic factors to reduce financial stress. These insights provide valuable implications for educational institutions and policy makers to design targeted financial education programs and support systems for college students.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of social media and lifestyle on impulse buying behavior with Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) as a moderating variable for students of the Faculty of Economics and Islamic Business, UIN Fatmawati Sukarno Bengkulu. The research method uses a quantitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires distributed to 95 respondents selected using the Slovin formula with an error tolerance level of 10%. Data analysis was performed with multiple linear regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The results showed that social media has a positive and significant effect on impulse buying behavior (t = 2.214; sig = 0.029). Lifestyle also has a positive and significant effect on impulse buying behavior (t = 9.202; sig = 0.000) with a more dominant influence (β = 0.825). However, BNPL is not proven to moderate the influence of social media on impulse buying behavior (t = 1.346; sig = 0.182) or the influence of lifestyle on impulse buying behavior (t = 0.061; sig = 0.952). This research implies the importance of developing financial literacy and students' critical awareness of the influence of social media and lifestyle in purchasing decisions, as well as the need for responsible marketing strategies from businesses related to BNPL services.

Abstract

The rapid growth of e-commerce and social media integration has significantly transformed consumer purchasing behavior, especially among digital-native generations. Generation Z, known for their strong online presence and responsiveness to trends, is particularly vulnerable to impulsive buying triggered by online marketing strategies. This study aims to examine the influence of flash sales, Fear of Missing Out (FOMO), and digital financial literacy on impulsive buying behavior among Generation Z users of TikTok Shop X Tokopedia in Samarinda, Indonesia. The research involved 106 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed through multiple linear regression using SPSS software. The results show that FOMO has a significant and positive effect on impulsive buying, whereas flash sales and digital financial literacy do not have significant individual effects. However, when combined, all three variables significantly influence impulsive buying, accounting for 42.2% of the behavior variance. These findings highlight the psychological and emotional factors—particularly FOMO—as more dominant drivers than promotional or financial literacy factors. The study suggests that understanding these behavioral dynamics is essential for businesses targeting young online consumers, while also underscoring the need for improved digital financial awareness among youth.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the extent to which students' financial self-efficacy and utilization of digital financial technology impact their participation in formal financial services (financial inclusion). This study was conducted on students majoring in accounting at the National Development University “Veteran” of East Java, against the background of the urgency of increasing students' access to financial services in the digital age. The method used is a quantitative approach, by distributing questionnaires to 84 randomly selected students. The data was then processed using the Partial Least Square (PLS) technique with the help of SmartPLS 4.0 software. The research findings reveal that both students' confidence in managing finances and the use of financial technology such as e-wallets and digital banking applications, significantly increase students' chances of participating in formal financial services. In conclusion, the higher the confidence of students in financial matters and the more intensely they utilize financial technology, the greater their level of financial inclusion. This study provides crucial insights into how these two factors can encourage students' participation in the formal financial system.
