Al-Isyraq: Jurnal Bimbingan, Penyuluhan, dan Konseling Islam is a scientific journal, serves as a forum for publishing the original research articles related to Islamic guidance and counseling. The bulletin encompasses research articles, original research report, reviews, short communications and scientific commentaries in Islamic guidance and counseling including: managing of guidance and counseling. Assessment in counseling, Islamic counseling, Islamic theraphy, career development, personal and social development and academic development. All papers submitted to the journal should be written in English or Indonesian. The work should not have been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.

Abstract

Guidance and counseling is a place to improve certain objects, namely humans who have problems with themselves. There are two objects that exist in guidance and counseling, namely, a counselor and counselee. The simple explanation is that the counselor is an expert who handles problems that are being experienced by the counselee or client, while the counselee is someone who needs therapy for his problems and is also known as the client. The purpose of this study is to discuss humanistic therapy in an existential perspective and Islamic counseling. The research carried out in writing this article uses the library research method, the research process carried out by collecting various data collection literature and information related to the themes taken in this study. Documents used as a source of research data by using some scientific literature in the form of books, journals and websites that support it. Existential in humanism is something that is very close to even related to existing Islamic values, in existentialism it assumes that a person has the right to act and make any decisions, this is also in accordance with existing Islamic values which assume that a person's personality has the rights of each, while Allah is the God who wills. The existence of knowledge about mental health can help a person to be able to run his life well, one of which is to make it easier for someone to socialize with their environment, for example having a good socialization attitude, that is, if there are new people, we will easily adapt ourselves, if there is a problem. What happens in our environment, we can contribute in addressing the existing problems, and if there is someone who humiliates or destroys us mentally, we can easily fortify ourselves.

Abstract

Career planning is equated with job selection. Actually the meaning of a career is broader than just choosing a job. Career is related to a person's development and becomes an important part in the success of one's life, for that career needs to be planned properly. Based on this, the aim of this research is to describe the role of child special development institutions (LPKA) in the career development of the childhood. This research use field research method. The findings of this research is the role of Child Special Development Institution (LPKA) in preparing the careers of child offenders related to fostering independence is to provide provisions such as farming, sewing, automotive, and so on. LPKA also collaborates with BLK so that the fostered children get better provision after they have finished undergoing the rehabilitation/ coaching period in special children's institutions.

Abstract

Nowadays, cases of domestic violence are increasing which have many impacts on victims of domestic violence, both physically and psychologically. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive study that aims to describe social support for victims of domestic violence. The subjects of this study amounted to 2 people who were victims of domestic violence, namely wives who were 64 years old (EM) and 42 years old (YM). Data were collected through interviews, documentation, and observations which were then analyzed qualitatively. The results of this study indicate that the occurrence of domestic violence is caused by economic factors because the husband does not work and the family needs are not fulfilled. In this case, the need for the role of certain parties to minimize the occurrence of domestic violence, first, victims of domestic violence can share with relatives and friends who are considered suitable to really focus and deal with the problems at hand; second, the community knows and understands about gender equality, the risks of domestic violence and various problems identified by efforts to expand public awareness in tackling domestic violence; third, forming an organization that involves the community through local community leaders, religious leaders and cooperating with public authorities in expanding cooperation with the government in overcoming domestic violence; The four counselors carry out a counseling process, one of which is based on the theory of social support that is tailored to the client's needs based on the counselor's considerations.

Abstract

This paper is motivated by observational data which shows that there are the physically disabled person who have a very high sense of low self-esteem even though they have been given counseling by the Forum Bangun Aceh. The causes of the unsuccessful counseling process can be analyzed using Adlerian Counseling. The process of good self-acceptance can be seen in the individual's ability when adapting to the environment so that it can provide a sense of self-satisfaction. If the environment rejects its presence, the individual will experience a setback and increase a sense of inferiority. Therefore, this writing aims: (1) toanalyze the process of self-acceptance of the physically disabled person by the Forum Bangun Aceh; (2) to analyze what factors are behind the success and failure of the counseling process for the disabled assisted by the Forum Bangun Aceh; and (3) to analyze the implications or impacts of the Adlerian Counseling analysis on the physically disabled person fostered by the Forum Bangun Aceh.The writing uses qualitative methods, interviews and observations. The results of this paper indicate Forum Bangun Aceh can be a facilitator to that physically disabled can develop their potential. The development of physically disabled self is hampered because they have low self-esteem, are not sure of themselves and feel doubt that their abilities will be accepted in a socoal environment. In the prosess of self-acceptance, the physically disabled should be with themselves as a disability and change the attitude of inferiority to superiority. The low self-esteem described in Adler’s theory is a psychological obstacle that usually occurs since puberty for various reasons and conditions. Self-acceptance for people with disabilities is very important in facing the reality of their own condition by minimizing a sense of inferiority to generate a sense of optimism, enthusiasm, self-understanding, and belief in their potential to move forward in carrying out their lives.

Abstract

Interpretation of the verses of the Qur'an is very important, especially its use in the world of Islamic guidance and counseling, because the interpretation of the verses of the Qur'an can be used by counselors in overcoming client problems. This study aims to describe the concept of Islamic guidance and counseling in surah At-Tahrim Verse 6. This research was conducted through a literature review. The results of the study show that the concept of Islamic guidance and counseling is in accordance with Surah At-Tahrim verse 6 namely "O you who believe! Protect yourself and your family from the fires of hell," referring to the goal of Islamic guidance and counseling, namely to call on clients to increase their faith by doing good and forbidding evil.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the process and results of counseling carried out by counselors on a counselee who is experiencing gadget addiction through individual counseling based on reality therapy. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative method which explains the process carried out by counselors when providing counseling to clients who are addicted to gadgets. The results showed that initially the diagnosis showed that there were symptoms of addiction to gadgets based on their daily habits. These habits result in antisocial children, neglecting schoolwork, chores at home, and unstable emotions, even denying their parents. Furthermore, the counseling process is carried out on the counselee with the technique of changing his habits by controlling himself and having responsibility for the decisions chosen through the reality therapy approach. The result of the counseling process is that the client has started to control himself by making a schedule for studying, playing with friends and family, also playing gadgets. When one of the schedules he made was violated by himself, then there were consequences he had to bear.

Abstract

The research objective was to determine the urgency of the assessment in the preparation of guidance and counseling programs in senior high schools. The research method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative method. The subjects in this study were 16 guidance and counseling teachers at State Senior High Schools in Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota. The data collection techniques in this study were through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The results of the study stated that the position of the assessment was not too important because of the limitations of guidance and counseling teachers in compiling, implementing, and interpreting existing assessments. This has caused some schools to develop service programs not yet based on the assessments that have been carried out. Therefore, it is very necessary to provide guidance in compiling, implementing, and interpreting assessments for guidance and counseling teachers as a whole in the form of programs on guidance and counseling teacher deliberations as well as the active role of guidance and counseling supervisors, as well as elements of leadership in schools.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between the role of parents and social media on premarital sexual behavior in youth youth organizations in Campurdarat Village. In this study, researchers used a quantitative approach with a correlation design. The population in this study amounted to 40 youth youths and the sample was determined through saturated sampling technique so that the large number of samples was 40 youth youths. The results showed that there was a relationship between the role of parents and social media on premarital sexual behavior in youth youth organizations in Campurdarat Village.

Abstract

This research aims to describe mental-spiritual guidance in fostering self-confidence for ex-psychotic people, by using the research library in finding sources relevant to research, and using content analysis as a technique in analyzing existing sources, so as to produce the right conclusion. The results of this study say; in carrying out mental spiritual guidance must use the existing guidelines and provisions, in order to foster self-confidence for people with ex psychotics.

The author uses the library research method that explores articles or other research that discusses what the author is researching. The results of the research that the authors get are that group counseling is effective for increasing the happiness of teenagers who live in orphanages because with group counseling they are open to each other and share with each other looking for solutions to solve the problems they feel
