Abstract

Kegiatan penerjemahan tidak persis diketahui kapan dimulai, namun pastilah penerjemahan lahir setelah penulisan berkembang. Di abad ke-20 teori penerjemahan mengalami perkembangan pesat dan menjadi salah satu bidang ilmu. Percepatan globalisasi dengan penggunaan teknologi internet dewasa ini, penerjemahan dan terjemahan merupakan kegiatan dan produk yang sangat penting bagi siapa saja yang ingin mengenal maupun memperkenalkan hal-hal yang dimiliki oleh suatu kelompok, budaya, atau bangsa kepada yang lain. Pembelajaran menerjemahkan sebenarnya sudah dimulai dari fase awal pembelajaran bahasa asing, mamun kemampuan menerjemahkan tidak serta-merta diperoleh dengan menguasai bahasa asing. Mengingat bidang penerjemahan merupakan ladang yang terbuka luas bagi profesi penerjemah, maka generasi muda, terutama mahasiswa jurusan penerjemahan perlu dimotivasi untuk menggiati bidang penerjemahan yang bermanfaat untuk menunjang pencapaian mereka dalam akademik maupun karir dan kehidupan profesional mereka di masa yang akan datang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media pembelajaran berupa bahan ajar yang interaktif bermuatan karakter untuk siswa kelas XI SMA pada pelajaran materi teks cerita pendek untuk mendeskripsikan uji kelayakan bahan ajar interaktif yang dikembangkan bagi siswa kelas XI SMA. Jenis penelitian ini adalah metode R&D (Research and Devlopment) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang terdiri dari 5 tahapan penelitian yaitu, Analysis, Design, Devlopment, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Swasta Nurul Iman Tanjung Morawa, SMA Al Washliyah 1 Medan dan Madrasah Aliyah Swasta Mu’allimin UNIVA Medan. Dalam uji coba kelompok kecil dilakukan di SMA Swasta Nurul Iman Tanjung Morawa dengan subjek penelitian yang berjumlah 36 peserta didik. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari wawancara, angket, validasi produk, dan uji coba kelompok kecil. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa hasil validasi bahan ajar terdiri dari validasi ahli materi memperoleh skor rata-rata 4,6 dengan kategori “sangat baik”, validasi ahli media memperoleh skor rata-rata 4,95 dengan kategori “sangat baik”, penilaian Guru Bahasa Indonesia memperoleh skor rata-rata 4,7 dengan kategori “sangat baik”, dan hasil siswa dalam kelompok kecil memperoleh skor rata-rata 4,85 dengan kategori “sangat baik. Dari hasil validasi dan penilaian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa Bahan Ajar Teks Cerita Pendek Bermuatan Karakter pada Siswa Kelas XI SMA layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran. Abstract

This study aims to describe the process of ecranization of plot, characters, and background in the form of shrinking, adding and changing aspect categories varies on the novel and film Ordinary Male Love by Asma Nadia and Guntur Soeharjanto. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The sources and data of this research are the novel and film Cinta-Laki Usually by Asma Nadia and Guntur Soeharjanto. Focus on this research in the form of the process of ecranization of the plot, characters and setting. Data obtained by technique reading, watching techniques, and note-taking techniques. There are 11 groove shrinkage, 22 groove additions, 8 varied changes to grooves. There are 3 shrinkage characters, 11 character additions, 2 varied changes to characters. And there are 2 backgrounds which were not shown, 10 sets were added to the film. Result of This study shows that the ecranization process that occurs in the groove elements, character and background, namely the existence of aspects of shrinking, adding aspects, aspects variable changes. Shrinking, adding, and changing varies This is done considering that novels and films are two different media. Film has limited time duration so it is likely that aspects of change will occur. But overall the depiction in the film not far from the depiction in the novel. Keywords: Novel, Film, Ecranization

Abstract

The objectives of this study are 1) to describe the acquisition of Indonesian language by means of picture books for elementary school children; 2) describe the development of picture books in accordance with the cognitive development of elementary school students.This research belongs to the type of development research or what is called research and development (R&D). Sources of research data are teachers, parents and first grade students of SD Negeri 068074 Medan. Data collection techniques using observation, questionnaires and interviews. The data analysis techniques used are qualitative and quantitative techniques The results of the acquisition of Indonesian for elementary school children consist of several stages, namely the pre-linguistic stage, the one-word stage, the two-word stage, and the many-word stage. The development of picture books in the study went through the stages of gathering information and it was known that there were problems in developing children's language acquisition due to the limitations of books and also the competence of teachers in teaching. The next stage is the preparation of the instrument and continued with the validation of the instrument that has been compiled, the results are that the instrument is suitable for use. The next stage is the development of book designs, namely teacher guidebooks and student books. The results of expert validation on the product showed that the average score for the assessment of the teacher's manual and student's book products was 3.98, so the book developed was suitable for use without revision. The next stage is product testing. The results of the teacher's guide book assessment get a score of 3.93 in the "very good" category and the student book gets a score of 3.96 in the "very good" category. This research resulted in the final product in the form of a picture book equipped with a teacher's manual for one year, student books for semester one and two.

Abstract

Perjuangan Perempuan Penyelamatan Lingkungan Dalam Novel Rahasia Pelangi Karya Riawani Elyta. Skripsi. Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia. Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Al Washliyah Medan. Pembimbing I Almh. Dr. Rabiatul Adawiyah Siregar, M.Pd. dilanjutkan oleh Dr. Susy Deliani,M.Hum., dan pembimbing II Lailan Syafira Putri Lubis, M.Pd. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan ekofeminisme, yang memandang bahwa alam dan perempuan memiliki kaitan yang erat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber dan data dalam penelitian ini adalah novel Rahasia Pelangi Karya Riawani Elyta. Penelitian ini memfokuskan pada perjuangan tokoh perempuan Rachel dan Anjani terhadap upaya konservasi alam di Taman Nasional Tesso Nilo Provinsi Riau dan kearifan lingkungan pada Novel Rahasia Pelangi karya Riawani Elyta dan Sabrina Ws. Hasil penelitian ini kearifan lingkungan Novel Rahasia Pelangi karya Riawani Elyta dan Sabrina Ws yaitu terdapat dua puluh dua bentuk kearifan lingkungan yang dikelompokkan menjadi lima aspek, diantaranya sikap hormat terhadap alam, sikap tanggung jawab moral terhadap alam, sikap solidaritas terhadap alam, sikap kasih sayang dan kepedulian terhadap alam, dan sikap tidak mengganggu kehidupan alam.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms of marginalization as the others and forms of resistance as a form of existence in Dian Purnomo's novel Women Crying for Black Moon based on Simone de Beauvoir's Existentialist Feminism approach. The data for this study are sentences that express forms of marginalization as others and forms of resistance as a form of existence in the novel Woman Crying for the Black Moon by Dian Purnomo, which will be published by Gramedia Pustaka in 2021. Data collection was carried out using reading, note-taking and writing techniques. data corpus. The research data were analyzed using Simone de Beauvoir's existentialist feminist theory. The results of the study found that the forms of marginalization as others in the novel Woman Crying for the Black Moon by Dian Purnomo contained nineteen data describing forms of marginalization as Others in the novel Woman Crying for the Black Moon by Dian Purnomo, There were sixteen data found as data describing forms of resistance as a form of existence in Dian Purnomo's novel Women Crying for the Black Moon. Magi's attitude shows that a woman is actually not immediately used as an object of oppression but can become someone who is able to think, define and act so that one day she can determine her future well and of course can become a woman who exists.Keywords: women, marginalization, existence

Abstract

The background of this research is the lack of literature teaching materials in poetry learning activities in class VIII SMP Al-Razi Sinar Harapan, so it is necessary to develop products in the form of picture and picture-based poetry teaching materials as media/tools used in the learning process. One effort that can be done is to develop teaching materials that can support students' knowledge, so that teaching materials are designed in such a way that students can carry out activities while learning in class. The purpose of this study was to determine the development of picture and picture model-based poetry teaching materials in class VIII SMP Al-Razi Sinar Harapan, to find out the feasibility of picture and picture model-based poetry teaching materials in class VIII SMP Al-Razi Sinar Harapan, and to find out the response from educators and students regarding poetry teaching materials products based on picture and picture models in class VIII SMP Al-Razi Sinar Harapan. The research method used in this research is the Research & Development method. The subject of research on product development in this study is the validator. The research was carried out by filling out the validation sheet provided, the validator in this study was the subject teacher. In addition, the subjects of this study were students of class VIII SMP Al-Razi Sinar Harapan. The object of this research is poetry teaching materials based on picture and picture models for class VIII students of SMP Al-Razi Sinar Harapan, located in Medan Johor sub-district, Medan City district. Based on the research results, the ability to write poetry obtained by students before the development of teaching materials was carried out, namely 63.55, which before the process of developing teaching materials was in the sufficient category. Furthermore, after developing poetry teaching materials based on the picture and picture model, it showed that the average score for students' ability to write poetry was 71.75 and then increased to good after the process of developing poetry teaching materials based on the picture and picture model for class students VIII SMP Al-Razi Sinar Harapan. Thus, the results of this study indicate that the design of developing poetry teaching materials based on the picture and picture model for class VIII students of SMP Al-Razi Sinar Harapan is declared successful and good. Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran mind mapping berbantuan dengan penggunaan media powtoon terhadap keterampilan menulis teks berita siswa kelas X Agama 1 dan X Agama 2 tahun pelajaran 2022-2023. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penggunaan media powtoon terhadap keterampilan menulis teks berita siswa kelas X Agama 1 dan X Agama 2 tahun pelajaran 2022-2023. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, tes dan dokumentasi. Aspek yang dinilai dalam penulisan teks ulasan yaitu isi gagasan, struktur teks berita, kalimat efektif, unsur kebahasaan, dan ejaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media powtoon terhadap keterampilan menulis teks berita siswa kelas X Agama 1 dan X Agama 2 yakni sangat baik. Terbukti siswa-siswi memperoleh nilai rata-rata 86,1. Hal ini memberi dampak positif dan memberi kemudahan untuk siswa dalam menulis teks berita. Hasil belajar keterampilan menulis teks berita menggunakan métode ceramah memperoleh nilai rata-rata 72,3. Perolehan nilai rata-rata tersebut menandakan bahwa kelompok siswa yang diajar menggunakan metode ceramah memiliki kategori hasil belajar B (baik). Hasil belajar keterampilan menulis teks berita menggunakan media powtoon memperoleh nilai rata-rata 83,7. Perolehan nilai rata-rata tersebut menandakan bahwa kelompok siswa yang diajar menggunakan media powtoon memiliki kategori hasil belajar A (baik sekali). Media powtoon memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap keterampilan menulis teks berita siswa kelas X Agama 1 dan X Agama 2 MAS Al-Washliyah Bangun Purba. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan perhitungan menggunakan uji “t”, di mana t hasil perhitungan dibandingkan dengan ttabel dan diperoleh thitung > ttabel atau 4,37 > 1,677, sehingga hipotesis alternatif (Ha) pada penelitian ini terbukti kebenarannya dan diterima.

Abstract

The title of this Independent Research is An Analysis of The Total Physical Response Method Learning. In this method we will consider a new general approach to foreign language instruction which has been named “ the comprehension approach.” It is called this because of the importance it gives to listening comprehension. All the other methods we have looked at have students speaking in the target language from the first day. Method consistent with the comprehension approach, on the other hand, begin with the listening skill. The idea of focusing on listening comprehension during early foreign language instruction comes from observing how children acquire their mother tongue. The method has been developed from developmental psychology, learning theory and language learning procedures. The Total Physical Response Method Learning is based on the premise that the human brain has a biological program for acquiring any language. The teacher does not correct any student errors during oral communication. In the Total Physical Response Method, students listen and respond to the spoken target language commands of their teacher.

Abstract

This article explains the strategy in translating contract documents from English into Indonesian. The sample of this study were six corpuses of contract documents that contain technical terms in the economic field (accounting, management and finance). Translation strategies were used to solve difficulties in understanding the contents of the text of contract documents caused by cultural and linguistic) differences between the writer and the reader of the text which results in views on the concept of words and sentences intended by the writer. The methods commonly used by translators are direct translation which consists of literal, borrowing and calque, and indirect translation which includes transposition, modulation, equivalence and adaptation. Meaning field analysis is carried out to obtain the meaning of terms or vocabulary contained in the source language and target language. The results of the analysis show the complexity of understanding the procedures and translation methods used, namely borrowing, calque, literal, transposition, modulation, equivalence, adjustment, shift of unit structure and class, intrasystem and also the system of absorbing foreign terms. In terms of shifts in meaning, there are two types of shifts identified, namely (1) unit shifts and (2) category shifts. These two types of shifts often occur because syntactically English as the source language (SL) is differ from Indonesian as the target language (TL).
