Abstract

Performance appraisal is an important process in human resources, because the results of the performance appraisal will measure the competence, work behavior and work results of employees within a certain period of time as a basis for consideration in considering decisions in the field of human resources. Employee performance at PT. Rajawali Malik Jaya to complete 1 document takes a long time. From the problems found, the occurrence of long data processing makes work pile up so that employees are tired of processing data all at once. Therefore, to overcome and find out these problems, it is necessary to use the Human Resources Scorecard and Analytical Hierarchy Process methods to measure employee performance. Human Resources Scorecard analysis was obtained using 4 perspectives, namely financial perspective, consumer perspective, internal business perspective and growth and learning perspective, while the AHP analysis consisted of 4 criteria and 4 sub criteria. From the weighting results obtained, it is known that the smallest weight on the financial perspective is 0.13, the consumer perspective is 0.22, the growth and learning perspective is 0.20 and the internal business perspective is the largest weighted value, which is 0.40.

Abstract

Chicken is a basic need of the people in everyday life. as a basic need, chicken hasa high amount of demand. Therefore, it becomes a high business opportu nity. From the existing broiler chicken business owned by Mr. Brozan, the researcher analyzed the feasibility study of the business. The feasibility study carried out is the feasibility of the market aspect and the feasibility of the financial aspect. The results of the analysis show that Mr. Brozan's business is declared feasible based on a feasibility study, and from the financial aspect, the sensitivity analysis shows that if there is a price increase or stock restrictions from livestock, the business is still declared financially feasible.

Abstract

Pembuatan belt conveyor dan perancangan tata letak fasilitas. Conveyor secara umum adalah suatu alat yang berfungsi memindahkan benda atau beban dari suatu tempat ketempat yang lain, sedangkan tata letak fasilitas didefenisikan sebagai tata cara pengaturan fasilitas-fasilitas pabrik guna menunjang kelancaran proses produksi. Pada tugas akhir ini belt conveyor dengan panjang rangka 4,5 meter dan lebar rangka 0,5 meter. Panjang conveyor 4 meter dan lebar bel 0,3 meter. Metode yang digunakan untuk perancangan tata letak fasilitas adalah activity relationship chart dan promodel. Tahapan dalam pembuatan belt conveyor dan perancangan tata letak ini di desain komponen dengan menggunakan aplikasi autoCAD 2014 dan aplikasi promodel. Perhitungan luas area yang diperlukan dalam perancangan tata letak fasilitas adalah 69,4 meter. Hasil simulasi didapatkan waktu 120 menit, dari gudang bahan baku sampai gudang barang jadi persekali produksi bata ringan.

Abstract

This study aims to design and build a Transport Manual Material Handling (MMH) Trolley based on ergonomics by recruiting 100 students (45 female participants and 55 male participants) randomly from the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Pahlawan Tuanku Tambusai. Anthropometric data measured in the form of Standing Elbow Height (TSB), Sitting Hand Reach (JTD), Hand Width to Metacarpal (LTM), Shoulder Width (LB), the data in the normality test can be seen that the chi-square count < chi table, the data above is normally distributed, the uniformity test states that from the 4 anthropometric data are uniform, and finally the adequacy test states that the data is normal (N'<N). The results of the test and the calculation of percentiles were obtained in the "Trolley design based on anthropometry data in the form of TSB (P90: 115.08 cm), JTD (P50: 69.85 cm), LB, (P95: 10.32 cm), and LB (P95: 49.93 cm). ). As for the test results, the trolley product can carry a load of 50 kg - 200 kg which has been tested in 3 stages in the form of a medium load (50 kg), medium load (100 kg), and heavy load (150-200 kg). Therefore, for the design of this trolley, an ergonomic size has been determined so that it can be used practically, safely, and comfortably and in addition to transporting materials it can be used as a means of transportation.

Abstract

Estimated Expansion Joint made in the fabrication workshop of PT. Semen Padang is one of the connection equipment used in kilns to support cement production in cement factories. The estimation is carried out by Expansion Joint analysis of the wear of the plate material by calculating the stretch of the plate used. The purpose of this estimate is to find out how much material is used, how long it takes, and how much equipment is used when making expansion joints and to calculate the estimation of the expansion joint welding process. After doing the calculations to determine the specifications of the expansion joint to be installed, From the results of the analysis and calculations, it is known that the processing time is 33.05 hours, the total electrode used is 6.587 kg, and the welding time is 1474,433 minutes, or 24.58 hours.

Abstract

This study aims to design an environmentally friendly biomass stove and make an environmentally friendly biomass stove. To calculate the cooking time using a biomass stove and to compare the time required on a biomass stove with a gas stove. The benefits for researchers are that they can make stoves that are competitive with gas or electric fuel stoves so that they become an alternative for the community and make biomass stoves one of the MSME products in the region. The type of research used in this study uses a qualitative research method with interview techniques. Informants or respondents in this study are housewives. The mothers were chosen because they were considered more experienced in cooking using the stove. From the research conducted, it is concluded that the results of the design of the biomass stove as an environmentally friendly stove, this biomass stove is able to reduce the carbon footprint because it produces fewer carbon emissions compared to fossil fuels. Reducing the amount of methane in the atmosphere because by using biomass, the amount of methane in the atmosphere can be reduced. Biomass stoves are stoves that are capable of making recycled fuel. This is a huge advantage as it means that no industrial output is wasted. All waste products from industry can be used to produce biomass energy.

Abstract

This study aims to design, build and increase methane gas levels in a biogas digester based on a manual stirrer. Where so far biogas materials still use natural secaera fermentation without human help. The initial stage of making this biogas material stirrer control tool is by looking at the original form of processing biogas material. In the biogas processing building, there are three important parts in biogas processing, namely the inlet (this place is used to mix a mixture of manure and water into the digester), the digester (also called the reactor functions as a place to process cow dung through a process of fermentation by bacteria to produce gas) and outlet (this channel is used to remove impurities that have been fermented by bacteria. This channel works on the principle of hydrostatic pressure equilibrium). It is in this part of the inlet that there is a mixing device. The tool is used to prepare a good mixture of water and animal feces. This manual stirring device is made of several important components, namely such as the propeller blade, the core iron and the stirring handle which uses the manual working principle. The presence of this tool can help increase methane gas formation in the biogas digester

Abstract

This study aims to design an incinerator using the Pahl and Beitz method so that people can get comfort and convenience in burning environmentally friendly waste and can also increase people's economic income in utilizing charcoal and liquid smoke, developing a simple incinerator design into an environmentally friendly incinerator that is environmentally friendly. can produce charcoal and liquid smoke. The benefits for researchers are increasing knowledge for researchers about product design and being able to apply the knowledge gained during lectures to real aspects, and for the University as a library treasury, which can provide benefits for students who conduct research with the same problem and become the subject of more research. continue in the future. The type of research used in this research is survey research by utilizing incinerators to produce charcoal and liquid smoke. From the research conducted, it is concluded that the results of the design of an environmentally friendly incinerator that produces charcoal and liquid smoke are designed according to the plan, the construction of this waste burner is made of drum material which has a diameter specification of 0.58 M high 0.89 M with a capacity of 200 liters. Garbage that is burned is solid waste. It is hoped that this incinerator can be used as a means to reduce landfill waste and can be used as a medium for managing household waste for the community in the Bangkinang sub-district of the city.

Abstract

This study aims to design an antropometric chair using the QFD method aimed at identifying and meeting consumer needs and desires for the product or service produced. Anthropometric chair is specially designed for measuring the dimensions of the human body in a sitting position. This chair is designed to increase product accuracy and comfort, save time in thr measurement process and minimize product manufacturing errors due to errors in manual measurement. Anthropometric chair design based on consumer desires using the QFD (quality function deployment) method which has been processed using the house of quality, it can be seen that the percentage of the highest value or priority for product attributes is “a chair that accurately reads body dimensions” with a value presentation of 12,436% followed by “seat component can be unscrewed”with a value of 10,424%, then on the third priority,namaley “seats with appropriate and affordable prices” with a value of 10.147%. Anthropometric chair product design specifications based on voice of customer statements are that in the features section there are size sensors for measuring hand length, measuring arm span, measuring waist height, measuring leg height, and measuring height in sitting position. And for reliability, rubber is attached to the chair legs. Durability is not easily broken, portability the components of the anthropometric chair can be opened and paired, the aesthetics of the chair is given more attractive colors and designs and also the anthropometric chair can be used by anyone.

Abstract

The need for electrical energy has increased from time to time in accordance with the increase in population and industrial development. However, the current availability of electrical energy comes from fossil energy and this makes the availability of fossil energy in the world dwindling. Therefore, renewable energy is needed to meet future electrical energy needs. In Indonesia, there is a lot of availability of renewable energy such as wind energy, solar energy, water energy and others. This research will focus on solar energy using a photovoltaic inverter with switching control techniques using sinusoidal pulse width modulation (SPWM). The results of SPWM design for inverter switching control have been simulated using Mathlab Simulink. The results of this simulation have resulted in the inverter output waveform approaching a perfect sinusoid. The content of voltage harmonics in the output waveform of this inverter is already below the standard set with a THDv of 2.69%. Meanwhile, the inverter output current harmonic is THDi 15.09%. From the results of this study, it can be seen that the inverter output using the SPWM control technique has been successfully implemented with harmonics below the specified
