Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effect of bank soundness and macroeconomics on the financial distress of conventional banking in Indonesia in the 2015-2019 period. The bank soundness is measured using the Risk-Based Bank Rating or RGEC method which is proxied by the ratio of non-performing loan (NPL), size of board directors, return on asset (ROA), capital adequacy ratio (CAR). The macroeconomic variable was measured using exchange rate while the dependent variable was measured by Altman Z-Score modification. The population of this research is all conventional banking companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange in 2015-2019. The method used for selecting the sample is purposive sampling. The sample obtained was 37 banks with a five years observation period. This research is using multiple linear regression analysis. The result of this research indicates that the size of the board direction, return on asset, and capital adequacy ratio harms the financial distress of conventional banking in Indonesia in the 2015-2019 period. While the non-performing loan and exchange rate do not affect the financial distress of conventional banking in Indonesia in the 2015-2019 period.

Abstract

Social media has greatly transformed humans' perspectives into amoral behavior. Thus, pre-marriage pregnancy, long-term deviant morality, has been more considerably admissible. This study aims to explore how social media has mediatized immorality to be more reasonable. This study uses a content analysis approach that relies on the ontology hermeneutics of Hans-Georg Gadamer. It is used to analyze and comprehend the implicit meanings of young Indonesian celebrities' pre-marriage pregnancy revealed on YouTube. Such perceived immorality shifts and reshapes the public's notion of morality value. The most important consideration is social media mediatization. Mediatization could inherently restructure social reality and moral values for the new social-cultural paradigm matrix's media logic. The shift of social morality hierarchy is the most significant consequence, which is no longer imperative in pre-marriage pregnancy. It impacts morality structures that could be a new authority to challenge social-cultural tradition in expressing morality. It implies that the government should design regulations or policies to counteract those cases and get the public involved in media literacy.

Abstract

Regional autonomy is one form of policy from the Indonesian central government to encourage independence from every existing local government, but at the same time, it also creates economic inequality. To make it balanced, the central government provides transfer funds for every local government that needs it. However, the dependence of the local government on the central government transfer funds has led to the phenomenon called the Flypaper Effect. This study aims to see the effect and the existence of a flypaper towards Local Own-Source Revenue (Pendapatan Asli Daerah), General Allocation Fund (Dana Alokasi Umum), Special Allocation Fund (Dana Alokasi Khusus), Revenue Sharing Fund (Dana Bagi Hasil) and Local Expenditure. This study relays on audited financial statements of local governments in 11 provincial governments located in Eastern Indonesia from 2012-2017. It uses E-views to test the hypothesis. The results show that only the Special Allocation Fund does not affect Local Expenditure. Furthermore, in Eastern Indonesia, there is an existing flypaper effect phenomenon. The regional autonomy policy implementation still needs to be improved. The central government needs to motivate the local government potencies to maximize their original revenue and consider for adjust the policy itself.

Abstract

This article analyzes user perceptions of information systems. The DIY provincial government agency conducted the research. The analysis is based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). Information system performance is associated with perceived usefulness (POU) and perceived ease of use (PEU). Based on the technology acceptance model, the user will be able to accept the information system if the user's information system has a perception that the information system is helpful for the user and easy to use. This article analyzes whether user perceptions of the usefulness and ease of use of information systems affect user perceptions of information system performance. The study was conducted on SIPKD users in the DIY provincial government. The regional financial management information system is one of the systems used by the DIY provincial government. SIPKD is a system that all local government work units must use. SIPKD operators are appointed with a regional head decree. The research data was obtained by distributing questionnaires to 100 SIPKD operators. Data were analyzed by moderating regression analysis. Data processing results show that POU and PEU affect user perceptions of information system performance. The proven task complexity variable serves as a moderating variable between POU and PEU with information system performance.
