Abstract

High turnover intention among Generation Z in Indonesia's retail industry has become a critical issue undermining organizational productivity and sustainability, with global turnover rates reaching 60% and employee replacement costs amounting to 33% of annual salaries. This study examines the effect of Chief of Store coaching communication on Generation Z turnover intention with employee engagement as a mediating variable. Employing an explanatory quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design, the research involved 327 Generation Z employees from Alfamart stores in the Jabodetabek region selected through multistage random sampling. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results demonstrate that coaching communication has a significant positive effect on employee engagement (? = 0.637, p < 0.001) and a significant negative effect on turnover intention (? = -0.291, p < 0.001). Employee engagement showed a significant negative effect on turnover intention (? = -0.408, p < 0.001) and partially mediated the relationship between coaching communication and turnover intention (indirect effect = -0.260, p < 0.001). This study concludes that Chief of Store coaching communication plays a crucial role in reducing turnover intention through enhancing employee engagement, thereby contributing theoretically to the development of the Theory of Work Adjustment and Social Exchange Theory, while providing practical implications for leadership development programs and retention strategies for Generation Z employees in the retail sector.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine how Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) disclosure affects business financial performance. This study examines financial performance using Return on Assets (ROA) data. Thomson Reuters provides ESG score data. The study population consists of companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange with complete ESG data from 2018 to 2022. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling strategy, and hypothesis testing was conducted using multiple linear regression analysis. The final sample size for this study was 38 companies, based on the selection criteria. The findings indicate that ESG disclosure has a beneficial and significant impact on corporate financial performance. When considered individually, each ESG pillar (environmental, social, and governance) has a significant impact on ROA. This study suggests that promoting environmental responsibility, social responsibility, and effective corporate governance can improve financial performance. Furthermore, the study shows that ESG has a stronger impact on ROA in larger organizations

Abstract

This study employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach to identify and synthesize the development of the Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) concept based on literature published between 2020 and 2026, sourced from Google Scholar using a PRISMA-guided selection procedure. The findings indicate that GEO represents a shift from ranking-based optimization toward optimizing content representation within generative AI responses, emphasizing the likelihood of content being selected, summarized, and presented by AI-driven systems. Implementation has evolved from simple textual adjustments to semantic approaches, intent modeling, multimodal integration, and cross-query consistency. The application of GEO enhances product visibility in AI-generated answers and influences consumer perceptions, while also presenting risks related to bias, information manipulation, and ethical challenges in AI-based digital ecosystems.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between self-control and impulsive purchasing behavior, with gender as a moderating variable. The sample consisted of 200 respondents selected through purposive sampling technique. Data analysis employed Moderation Regression technique using PROCESS Macro. Based on the analysis results, the self-control variable demonstrated a positive and significant influence on impulsive purchasing behavior (? = 2.1253; t = 4.8621; p < 0.001), indicating that the higher the level of self-control, the higher the value of impulsive purchasing behavior. The gender variable also exerted a significant influence (? = 40.7205; t = 3.6577; p < 0.001), suggesting that there are differences in influence based on gender. Furthermore, the interaction between self-control and gender (SC × M) showed a significant influence with a negative coefficient (? = -1.2243; t = -4.9562; p < 0.001). These findings indicate that gender moderates the relationship between self-control and impulsive purchasing behavior, wherein the influence of self-control tends to weaken in certain gender categories. This research provides theoretical contributions to understanding the dynamics of impulsive purchasing behavior and practical implications for marketers in developing more effective strategies based on consumer gender differences.

Abstract

This study analyzes factors influencing bank profitability in Indonesia, focusing on KBMI 4 category banks period 2017–2024. Profitability is measured using Return on Assets (ROA) and Return on Equity (ROE) to reflect performance from perspectives of asset utilization and shareholders. The study uses quarterly panel data and applies Fixed Effect Model with robust standard errors to examine influence of external and internal factors on bank profitability. External factors include BI Rate and inflation, while internal factors consist of operational efficiency (BOPO), credit risk measured by Non-Performing Loans (NPL), capital structure measured by Total Assets to Total Equity, and bank size. A Covid-19 dummy variable is also included to control for impact of pandemic. The results show that internal bank factors are more dominant than external macroeconomic in determining profitability. Operational efficiency and credit risk have a negative and significant effect on both ROA and ROE. Capital structure and bank size negatively and significantly affect ROA but are not significant for ROE. Meanwhile, BI Rate and inflation do not significantly influence either profitability measure. The Covid-19 variable has a positive and significant effect on ROA but not on ROE, indicating that policy support during pandemic helped maintain banks’ operational performance.
