Abstract

The application of infographic media in the learning of economics subjects aims to increase students' understanding of complex abstract concepts and motivate their involvement in the learning process. Infographic media is a data visualization tool that presents information in a concise, interesting, and easy-to-understand manner. This study uses an experimental approach by involving high school students as research subjects. The results of the study show that the use of infographic media significantly improves student learning outcomes, especially on topics that require an analytical understanding such as economic cycles, inflation, demand, and supply. Students report that infographics make it easier for them to understand the relationships between economic variables through a combination of images, graphs, and short text. In addition, the application of this media also increases students' active participation in class discussions, because it is easier for them to visualize the concepts taught. Thus, infographic media is not only effective in improving concept understanding, but also provides a more interactive and enjoyable learning experience. The implementation of infographic media is expected to be one of the innovations in economic learning that can be adapted for various levels of education.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the use of Google Earth as a history learning tool in improving student learning achievement. Google Earth is a digital map-based application that allows interactive visualization of geographic locations, thus supporting students' understanding of the spatial context of historical events. Through this approach, students are invited to explore historical locations virtually, which not only provides an engaging learning experience, but also deepens their understanding of the subject matter. The results of the study show that the use of Google Earth in history learning can significantly improve student motivation, engagement, and learning outcomes. These findings confirm that the integration of geospatial-based technology in learning can be an innovative solution to improve the quality of history education. Thus, this application offers great potential as an interactive and effective learning medium in connecting historical material with real locations.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are essential skills in the learning process that can affect student learning outcomes. This study aims to analyze the relationship between critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes through the application of a guided inquiry learning model. The guided inquiry model was chosen because it encourages students to identify problems, formulate hypotheses, and find solutions independently with the guidance of teachers, thereby strengthening critical thinking skills. The results of the study showed that there was a significant positive correlation between students' critical thinking skills and their learning outcomes. Students who have good critical thinking skills show improved concept understanding, analytical skills, and higher learning outcomes compared to students who have low critical thinking skills. This study recommends the application of the guided inquiry model more widely to improve students' critical thinking skills and learning outcomes, especially in subjects that require problem-solving and in-depth analysis.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the influence of self-regulated learning on students' critical thinking skills and learning outcomes. Self-regulated learning is the ability of students to manage their learning process independently, including setting goals, monitoring, and evaluating learning achievements. This ability is considered an important factor in improving critical thinking skills, which involves analysing, evaluating, and making decisions based on relevant evidence. The research was conducted using a quantitative method with a correlational approach to upper secondary students. The results showed that there was a positive and significant influence between self-regulated learning on critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes. Students who have a high level of self-regulated learning tend to be better able to critically analyse problems and achieve better learning outcomes. These findings show that the development of self-regulated learning needs to be the focus of learning strategies, to encourage continuous improvement of learning quality and support students in facing academic challenges in the modern era.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an interactive animation learning media based on Adobe Animate which is designed to increase the effectiveness and involvement of students in the learning process. It combines visual, audio, and interactivity elements to create an engaging and immersive learning experience. The development results show that interactive animation learning media based on Adobe Animate is effective and feasible to use as a teaching tool. Interactive features, such as quizzes, simulations, and animated animations, have been proven to increase students' interest and understanding of the material. This media also provides flexibility for teachers in delivering material in an attractive and easy-to-understand manner. This development is expected to be an innovative alternative in supporting the digital learning process, especially in the era of technology-based education. Further research is needed to test the effectiveness of this medium on a wider scale and in a variety of subjects.

Abstract

Drawing ability is one of the important competencies in the field of engineering and art education, which requires conceptual understanding, creativity, and technical skills. This study aims to analyse the effectiveness of the integration of Self-Directed Learning (SDL) techniques and peer tutor methods in improving students' drawing skills. SDL's approach encourages students to independently plan, execute, and evaluate their learning process, while the peer tutor method optimizes social interaction to strengthen understanding and skills. The results of the study show that the integration of SDL techniques and peer tutors provides a holistic approach to drawing learning, which not only improves technical abilities but also builds students' independence and social skills. The recommendations of this study include the development of SDL-based interactive modules and peer tutor training to support wider implementation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the relationship between communication skills, collaboration, and metacognition to student learning outcomes in the subject of Chemical Engineering Operations. Communication skills refer to students' skills in conveying ideas, discussing, and understanding concepts through verbal and nonverbal interactions. Collaboration includes student cooperation in solving chemical engineering problems as a team, while metacognition refers to students' awareness of the thinking process and learning strategies used. Learning outcomes are measured through students' conceptual understanding and practical skills in completing chemical engineering operational tasks, such as process calculations, system analysis, and operational efficiency evaluations. The study uses a quantitative method with a correlational approach to measure the influence of these variables on learning outcomes. The research sample consisted of students in the Chemical Engineering class at SMK Negeri Ngasem, with a total of 100 respondents who were randomly selected. Data was collected through learning outcome tests, observation sheets, questionnaires, and interviews. The results of the analysis showed that communication skills, collaboration, and metacognition had a significant influence on student learning outcomes. Collaboration and metacognition skills make a more dominant contribution than communication. This study concludes that improving communication, collaboration, and metacognition skills in an integrated manner can improve student learning outcomes in the subject of Chemical Engineering Operations. Thus, it is recommended that educators integrate active learning strategies that focus on group discussions, problem-based learning, and metacognitive reflection to support more effective learning.

Abstract

This article discusses the use of the Wood Glossary app to assist students in understanding the specifications and characteristics of wood. This application is designed to provide clearer and more accessible information about different types of wood, its properties, and its applications in the industrial world. The improvement of student learning outcomes is achieved through the interactive and visual methods offered by the application. Students can learn a variety of wood-related technical terms in a more fun and less monotonous way, as the app provides images, easy-to-understand explanations, and a quick search feature. Research conducted shows that with the use of Wood Glossary, students are not only faster in understanding the material being taught, but also more motivated to learn. The success of this application shows that technology can be an effective tool in supporting the learning process, especially in studying complex topics such as wood specifications and characteristics. Overall, the Wood Glossary app has been proven to improve students' understanding, enrich their learning experience, and help them to better apply the knowledge gained in practical contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the application of the Cooperative Learning model in improving student learning outcomes in Music Arts subjects. Cooperative Learning is a collaborative learning approach that encourages students to work in groups to achieve shared learning goals. In the context of Music Arts, this model provides opportunities for students to share ideas, explore creativity, and develop musical skills through collaboration. The research method used is quasi-experiment with control group design and experiment. The results show that the application of Cooperative Learning can significantly improve learning outcomes compared to conventional learning methods. In addition, students showed increased learning motivation, communication skills, and active participation during the learning process. These findings show that Cooperative Learning is effectively used to teach the art of music with a creative, collaborative, and fun approach.

Abstract

The application of positivism learning methods that focus on empirical experience and sensory observation provides a scientific foundation in the learning process. This study examines the effectiveness of using learning videos as a medium to support the positivism approach in improving student learning outcomes. Video media was chosen because of its ability to present abstract concepts to be more concrete, attract students' interest, and facilitate independent learning. The results of the study show that the integration of positivism methods with learning videos can significantly improve concept understanding, student engagement, and achievement of learning outcomes. These findings emphasize the importance of utilizing visual-based technology in conveying complex subject matter. The selection of relevant video content and interactive learning strategies can also maximize results. This approach offers great potential for educators to create a more effective and enjoyable learning experience for students.
