Supplements are not of mandatory publishing. Supplements are only issued if deemed necessary.

Abstract

Airport Management needs data on Passenger Volume. Passenger Volume varies annually, monthly, weekly, daily, and hourly. A different aspect of Airport Management needs different data on Pasengger Volume Variation. Each airport has its Variation Characteristics. Kilimanjaro International Airport is a unique airport, as it is located close to a Mountain Kilimanjaro. Knowing it’s Passenger Volume Variation is important. Three Variations have been observed, the monthly, the weekly, and the hourly. The monthly variation shows that the high season happens from July to October. Based on three months of data, the weekly variation shows the inconsistency of the variation pattern. The weekly index of variation could not be developed. While the daily variation shows that high daily volume exists from Friday to Sunday.

Abstract

The design and build (DB) project delivery system recently begins to be widely used for road projects in Indonesia. It has some advantages such as shorter completion time, lower cost growth, lower schedule growth, and better performance in terms of quality. The complexity of DB projects and the lack of complete rules and regulations in this field have caused the implementation of DB projects to face various challenges and problems. Thus, DB projects need to be evaluated to improve their performance. The purpose of this study is to provide the concept of DB project performance, performance criteria, and performance indicators that used to carry out a performance assessment. The analysis was done based on a literature review and interviews. There are fifteen indicators generated from this analysis. The indicators divided into three parts: design phase performance, construction phase performance, and overall project performance and three criteria: results quality, resource usage, and objectives achieved.

Abstract

Bali has an irrigation system known as Subak. The utilization and operation of Subak, are carried out by involving community participation in it. Mambal Irrigation Area, having great water potential, can still be developed to increase agricultural yields in the Mambal Irrigation Area. The purpose of this research was to determine the management model of the Mambal Irrigation Area to develop agro-tourism with environment-based. The SWOT model, based on the potential and problems that occur in the Mambal Irrigation Area, is used. Based on the location survey and SWOT analysis, the results obtained are the strength of the Mambal Potential water in the Mambal weir can flow during the dry season and rainy season, this potential can be used to increase agricultural yield and develop the area as an agro-tourism environment-based. But on the other hand there are still some problems that occur in the Mambal Irrigation Area. Alternative management, can be done to optimize the existing potential and reduce the negative impact due to existing problems, is by developing environment-based agro-tourism in the Mambal Irrigation Area. Agro-tourism is expected to reduce the land-use change in the Subak area, improve socio-economic conditions in the surrounding area, and can maintain the environmental sustainability.

Abstract

This paper investigated the influence of ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBS) on the setting time and compressive strength of one-part geopolymer binders (OPGB). Powdered sodium metasilicate activator was utilized in the range of 8 – 16% by weight of the total binder. Central composite design method was used in designing the mixtures. Experimental investigation revealed that both the initial and final setting time of the OPGB decreased drastically with the increase in the GGBS and the activator content. The inclusion of GGBS in the binder influences the setting time of the binders thereby resulting in quick setting time. The variance analysis of the established models demonstrated that the setting and compressive strength models could be predicted using quadratic models with high R2 coefficient. Optimizations results revealed that the optimum mixture can be obtained by substituting 95.8 % fly ash with GGBS and 13.4 % solid activator.

Abstract

National Long-Term Development Plan (RPJPN) mandated to alleviate slum settlement areas until 0 hectares. One of the indicators to be assessed on slum settlement handling is by road settlement access. The quality of the road was affected by the physical condition and the operation, management factors either. This research aim is to identify factors that affected community-based settlement road management in slum settlement areas, through Kota Tanpa Kumuh (KOTAKU) Program or City Without Slum. The analysis used in this research is descriptive analysis, in which the researcher gathers factors related to community-based road management from literature study, also previous study and research. Then 7 experts that have expertise in slum alleviation subjects were chosen, to validate and filter the factors that have been gathered. The results indicate that there are 25 approved factors by all experts and considered as high influence factors, 13 factors approved by 4 - 6experts considered as moderate influence factors, and 3 factors approved by less than 4 experts considered as low influence factors. This research contributes to Infrastructure Asset Management knowledge, specificallyin community-based infrastructure management.

Abstract

Indonesia has a program to relocate its capital from Jakarta to East Kalimantan Province. This is a big and complex problem and is very interesting for Infrastructure & Facility Asset Management. Develop reflection on the case is very good to enrich and to develop IFAM knowledge and science. The first step has been done by developing an overview of several capital relocation cases. This research, the second step, is designated to make observations on the spatial plan of three good capitals. Visiting experience of the authors, enriched by literature study has been conducted. The reseach has main conclusions. It is better to develop a new city on an empty inhabited area. The symbolic aspect of the city is very important. A good plan, development, and control must be applied. The city must be green and intelligent. The capital must be divided into core areas for accomodating government offices and the peripheral area for accomodating residential areas and recreational areas. Well designed vast enough open space and several green parks are needed. The whole city must be furnished with good urban public transport. A good domestic and international accessibility is capital.

Abstract

Madiun River catchment area is widely known for flooding in the rainy season. There is an embankment built to prevent the flood from entering the city. With the existence of the embankment, pumps are required to discharge the rainwater from the urban drainage channel into the river. The pumps located in the pumping stations are spread across the Madiun City. Each pumping station has a different capacity and different catchment areas. Nevertheless, its capacity is not sufficient to discharge the water flowing from the drainage channel into the river without causing flood in the city. Hence, the evaluation of pump capacity is necessary. In this study, a case study of Pancasila Pumping Station as a pumping station with the biggest catchment area is taken. From the rainfall data, flood discharge in the inlet of the pumping station is calculated using a synthetic unit hydrograph of the Nakayasu method. The capacity of the pump will be evaluated using the resulted flood discharge, whether the capacity is sufficient or not. Furthermore, the necessary pump quantity, the pump capacity, the operational hours, and the volume storage needed will be calculated. The results are: maximum flood discharge with a return period of 10 years is 20.206 m³/s, the existing pump capacity is only 1,000 litre per second while the required pump capacity is 5 m³/s with the quantity of two units, both operated in the same time for 8 hours and one unit is operated for the ninth hour, equipped with a storage volume of 102,017 m³. Thus, the addition of pump capacity is necessary.
