AL-Aufa: Journal of Islamic Education and Studies, is a peer-reviewed journal published by the Tarbiyah Faculty of Islamic Education Study Program, Islamic Institute of Religion Sunan Giri Bojonegoro, East Java. The journal is published twice a year, in June and December Focus and Skop The focus covers all aspects of scientific discussion about education, educational innovation, and educational ideas which include: 1) research articles, 2) conceptual ideas, 3) literature review. Abstract

Everyone's happiness has various causes. Everyone has different conditions of happiness. Human journey is always within the realm of achieving happiness during life. Schools become an important medium to teach everyone in the days of students to know and be able to achieve ways to be happy. Knowledge in this school will be a provision for every generation to get a happy and happy life. Through the literature review approach of each idea that discusses how to achieve happiness in education, this paper presents ideas for education in schools in order to prepare a golden generation of Indonesia. Indonesia has the potential to get a happy and advanced life of its people through increasing demographic bonuses and digital trends. Formal and non formal education institutions have important responsibilities to prepare happy and happy generations.

Abstract

The use of media in the learning process is very important to support the learning process, in the modern era, graphic media is the most attractive medium, by using graphic media children can understand messages and help them to be more motivated to learn, the problem is when Graphic media is not able to develop and monotonous will make students tend to be bored and reduce motivation to learn, this paper, development of graphic media is something needs to develop, the affect children become active and have high learning motivation, several graphic media need to be developed such as Graphics, diagrams, charts, sketches, posters, comics, photo media, flannel boards and bulletin boards, educators (teachers) can present graphic media through visual media presenting, ideas through the presentation of words, sentences with numbers, and symbols or pictures. Graphics are used to attract attention, clarify the presentation of ideas, and illustrate facts, they are interesting and memorable. The advantages of graphic media can simplify and accelerate students' understanding of the message conveyed, increase student attention, and an affordable price. While the weakness of graphic media is requires special skills in its manufacture, especially for more complex graphics and the presentation of messages is only a visual element.

Abstract

Reading habits must become a culture, especially ini educational institutional such as schools, the reading habits has been determined by the goverment in accordance with UU RI Nomor 20 pasal 4 ayat 5 tahun 2003 about the national education system. Many factors affect the level of cognitive intelligence of  students, one of wich is silent reading. Reading this silent make it easier for students to understand the knowledge they get from books and teacher information, one of the schools that has implemented silent training is YPM Junior High School, this silent reading activity provides a special time for silent reading before starting lessons. As for the objectivites to be achieved in this study are: 1) to find out about silent reading activities at YPM Taman Sidoarjo High School, 2) to find out the level of cognitive intelligence of students in akidah akhlak subjects at SMK YPM 3 Sidoarjo, 3) to find the effect of the implementation of silent reading on the level of cognitive intelligence of students at SMA YPM 3 Sidoarjo. This research is a quantitative. As for the data collection techniques using documentation and questionnaires. Data analysis using teh percentage and correlation of the production moment. The result is 1). Implementation of reading a razor blade in SMK YPM 3 Taman Sidoarjo otherwise good enough, because it is in the range of 56-75% this is based on the percentage results with a value of 71% 2) the level of cognitive intelligence of students at SMA YPM 3 Taman Sidoarjo is in the range of 56-75% this based on the percentage results with a value of 68%. Wich is ontherwise good enough. 3). Silent reading gives 34,3% influence on the level of cognitive intelligence of student in the subject of akidah akhlak, in this case it means that 34.3 % of students area able to think, assess, state, expalain and provide examples of subject matter and 65.7% is influenced by other factors that have not been studied by researchers.

Abstract

 Since Covid-19 attacked several parts of the world, students are suggested to do distance learning. However, since New Normal era, students are allowed to do offline learning by implementing health protocol. This research is aimed to describe teaching method with blended learning model namely “Missing Pieces Activities” in English Subject for Twelfth Graders of Senior High School. This teaching method involves various activities, they are: Missing Words for listening, Missing Small Thing speaking, and Missing Sentences for Reading. With this blended learning model, the activities are done by combining the online learning and offline learning. Source of data in this research is activities done by the students during the teaching and learning process. The data was collected through observation and inerview. The finding of the research shows that students are more actively involved in the teaching and learning process. Further, they have higher motivation in learning due to the various activities they did in learning process. Therefore, this Missing Pieces Activities can be one of learning  methods in New Normal Era to increase students’ activeness and motivation both in distance and offline learning.

Abstract

Moral education is the spirit of Islamic religious education and achieving a perfect morality is the real goal of education. Moral education is important for humankind the importance of morals is not only in the life of the individual but also in living in the family and society, even in the life of dancing. Morals are the essence of life and make the difference between humans and animals. “Akhlak” is conscious guidance or leadership by educators of the educated is physical and spiritual development towards the formation of praiseworthy morals. The concept of moral education in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Miftahul Ulum not stated directly in the vision and mission of the madrasah. However, moral education values ​​are, in the student code of ethics, for exemplary methods, habituation, lectures, and stories, as well as reward and punishment, implementation of moral education at MTs Madinatul Ulum Baureno Bojonegoro. They are teaching human resources, complete regulatory tools, hidden curriculum, religious culture facilities, and infrastructure that are sufficient to support moral education activities. Meanwhile, the inhibiting faktors for moral education at MTs Madinatul Ulum Baureno Bojonegoro consisted of internal faktors; Inconsistent and sustainable enforcement of rules, Limited time in Madrasa. External faktors; Family environment, community environment.

Abstract

This research is to describe the e-learning design of the Home Learning Program in Indonesian for elementary schools aired on TVRI. The main focus into five sub-focuses, namely on learning indicators, a series of lessons, learning methods, delivery strategies, and evaluation strategies. This research is descriptive qualitative research. Data were collected using observation sheets. Learning indicators are composed of C1 and C2 competencies adjusted to the level of student intellectual development. The learning series was arranged based on a prerequisite method or prerequisite and sequentially connected. The learning method used is an expositive method that emphasizes the aspects of absorbing new information. The delivery strategy through TVRI is the right choice because it can be accessed by all students in Indonesia, both signal and operational. Evaluation cannot be carried out optimally, especially for competencies that require practice because students cannot interact with students directly

Abstract

Empowerment becomes an effort to build one's existence in life by encouraging them to have the ability/empowerment. As the provision of resources, opportunities, knowledge and skills, the community increase their capacity to the better future. The empowerment program carried out by Provincial government East Java towards Huffadz Quran is a tribute for their dedication to maintaining Al-Qur'an through memorization. The empowerment is an allowance to them every year. (a). Huffaz empowerment program through the provision of an honorarium. (b). Apart from giving the honorarium, there is a monthly routine program to support the memorization to keep their memorizing in Qur'an, and deepened it with the study of the interpretation of the book Al-Ibriz. Apart from these two things, the Huffadz can practice their Qur'an memorization by holding social activities in the form of donations, especially for orphans.

Abstract

The Covid 19 pandemic has changed the education system in Indonesia, especially in the learning process, changes in the learning process will be an impact on the learning patterns as running face-to-face, also on student learning motivation. this research discribe the concept of learning motivation during the Covid 19 pandemic, using a literature review approach, which contains theories relevant to research problems, based on the available literature, especially from articles published in various scientific journals. The data collection using primary sources and secondary sources, analysis using content analysis techniques. As the results, the concept of learning motivation during the Covid 19 pandemic divided into two factors,  students have high motivation due to student intelligence factors, student activity, the development of student learning independence, the existence of discipline, and learning is a fun activity. Low student motivation to learn is caused by low intelligence factors, excessive demands, weak discipline, stress, and learning is a tedious activity.

Abstract

The phenomenon occurs in Indonesia is that many people have high reading interest, but have low reading power. This is due to the educational pattern since childhood which the parents did not pay attention to reading habits and also what materials were read. Based on Montessori's theory, children's fantasies must be limited, so she recommends stories based on true stories. In this study, the researchers would like to present recommendations for building reading habits by providing stories of the prophet from an early age as well as its influence on children's cognitive, emotional and spiritual development. This research uses qualitative descriptive phenomenology research. The subjects of this study were two housewives who gave stories of the prophet to their children. The results of this study indicate that the telling of the prophet's story from a child at an early age is an urgent thing for parents to do in order to form a child who is not only good in character, but also mentally and spiritually.

Abstract

This paper aims to explain the education system in Pesantren, the Islamic boarding school education system experienced a shift from the Salafi system to the kholaf system. The problem that arises is the loss of the essence of the basic values ​​education system in Islamic boarding schools when faced with modernity and the development of the times, the education system used indicated reducing, this research is an attempt to make a contribution of thought to Islamic boarding schools in carrying out their educational functions. Especially in developing the basic values ​​of education, input for pesantren in organizing their education system, and funding the construction of the education system in the modern era. The findings of this study are; 1) education system of Islamic Boarding Schools are based on the Qur'an and Al-Hadith, 2) the beginning of its establishment, Islamic Boarding Schools use a traditional education system which in the implementation of teaching uses the sorogan and wetonan systems, implemented the classical system and is currently organizing skill institutions and formal schools, 3). In applying the education system, Islamic boarding schools experience lags in the learning system, this is more because pesantren are less able to accommodate the development of the times and are even indifferent to new findings.
