AL-Aufa: Journal of Islamic Education and Studies, is a peer-reviewed journal published by the Tarbiyah Faculty of Islamic Education Study Program, Islamic Institute of Religion Sunan Giri Bojonegoro, East Java. The journal is published twice a year, in June and December Focus and Skop The focus covers all aspects of scientific discussion about education, educational innovation, and educational ideas which include: 1) research articles, 2) conceptual ideas, 3) literature review. Abstract

This paper focuses on the spiritual leadership model, the principal of model is motivating, sharing, loving, being an example, and being a learner, in the end, it is expected to be able to improve the quality of educator resources (teachers) to be productive and learners. To understand the phenomenon of the principal's leadership model, with a qualitative approach of case study type, and interactive data analysis as suggested by Miles and Hubemann. This study concludes that the spiritual leadership model is able to foster a spirit of achievement, hard work, tenacity and minimize laziness and open insight to not easily complain or get discouraged, because of the growing awareness that after efforts, the final result is left to the Creator. With the awareness possessed by teachers, self-confidence and willingness to learn will grow in order to be able to present the best (productive) work in carrying out their duties.

Abstract

The idea of ​​renewal in Islam, Islamic philosophy, philosophy of Islamic education, and contemporary Islamic thought lies in the extent to which these sciences can interact and dialogue with new developments in Islamic discourse. Educational reform has pragmatically placed education as an inseparable part of changing the mindset and life of mankind. In the repertoire of Islamic education, the pragmatic theory of education is known as al-Dzara'i theory. Education and science must create a skill. Skills develop following the development of progress and prosperity according to the context of the times and regions, as the main capital for community development, when the profession in society has developed in a complex manner, a science teaching is needed that aims to acquire and develop the skills required by a required profession. Pragmatism in education is the result of human existence in absorbing the outside world into oneself (internalization), then interpreted (subjectification) using reason and mind with the help of science, and then re-expressed to the outside world (objectification) through the process of externalizing and legitimizing it. Education is the conception of individual and group interpretation activities in forming a particular skill.

Abstract

Pesantren has long been known as an Islamic institution in Indonesia has a significant role in the intellectual life of the nation, in the world of education, especially in Islamic education. During the colonial period, pesantren was highly hostile and suspected by the colonizers, moreover, the pattern and education system contained in the pesantren had its uniqueness which always faced vis a vis the secular education brought by the colonizers. After Indonesia's independence, pesantren were often suspected of having anti-Indonesian government attitudes. Pesantren at the beginning of its development, apart from being a tafaqquh fiddin institution, whose function was to broadcast religion by providing a place for religious learning, a social institution that taught various things about mental education and its maintenance. The approach in this study is literature with a literature review, the results of the study found that Islamic boarding schools experienced changes and developments from time to time, there were shifts in values, structures, views in every aspect of pesantren, including changes in aspects related to the world of education and teaching that more modern.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic is still an unresolved problem until now, the coronavirus outbreak that has spread throughout the world including Indonesia has greatly impacted the education process that has been carried out, the education process was supposed to run face-to-face (offline) suddenly turned online. Planting character education for children, strengthening character education in the current context is very relevant to overcome the moral crisis that is happening. The study in this paper is to find strategies and methods of character education during the covid 19 pandemic, with a library research approach the author reviews the results previous research both from research journals, books relevant to character education, the findings of concepts, strategies and methods of character education that can be used are the method of storytelling or storytelling (telling story), discussion methods, simulation methods (role-playing/playing and sociodrama), and live in the method.

Abstract

The globalization era is developing at this time demands the existence of national cadres who have the quality of human resources as a whole, tough in facing all the challenges of the times. This can be realized in the support of a quality education system. Among Muslims themselves, Islamic boarding schools are referred to as examples of educational institutions that have advantages, both from the aspect of scientific tradition and morality. Islamic boarding schools are considered capable of instilling the character values of education in children so that the nation's cadres have full human resources. The research method that the author uses in this study is using qualitative research with a location in PP Al Munawwir Krapyak Yogyakarta, the results of this study are the leadership style applied by the Al Munawwir Krapyak Islamic boarding school, namely the democratic system, deliberation for consensus and also an authoritarian system. And in developing students' character education, namely by providing advice, habituation, exemplary (uswatun Hashanah), giving rewards and punishments to students.

Abstract

Teachers as agents of change, role models, social media as a medium and means of learning can create a pleasant learning atmosphere and motivate students to improve their abilities. They have competencies following the times. SMKN 4 Bojonegoro is a school that can apply internet-based learning and uses social media well, PAI subjects. This study aims to reveal the role of PAI teachers utilizing social media as learning in the era of 4.0 case studies at SMKN 4 Bojonegoro, about The implementation of PAI teachers in used social media as a learning tool in the 4.0 Era and the active role of teachers in utilizing social media as a learning tool in the 4.0 era. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study design, Data Collecting by using in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation techniques. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. Checking the validity of the findings is done by triangulation with various data, methods, and sources. The results showed that the implementation of PAI teachers in utilizing social media as a learning tool in the 4.0 era was by using WhatsApp and YouTube. Students get the PAI learning material itself and the latest PAI material. The active role of PAI teachers in utilizing social media as a learning tool in the 4.0 era is to become a subject, thereby guarding against radicalism and deviant beliefs. His efforts are to provide study materials for intolerant groups, inclusive religious practices and show wrong and radical sects and their dangers.

Abstract

Islamic education technology has an important role in Islamic education. Islamic education technology offers various facilities for the world of education. Pesantren should participate in following the progress of the times. Islamic boarding schools can take advantage of educational technology and the advancement of the times to further expand and develop educational and Islamic knowledge and can broadcast Islamic education more. In pesantren education, the role of educational technology is still not implemented. Islamic boarding schools tend to maintain their culture which some people consider ancient because they do not keep up with the times. This study used qualitative research methods. Materials are obtained from relevant sources in the form of books, scientific articles, and journals. In the study, it was found that Islamic boarding schools trying to keep up with the current changing times. Islamic boarding schools try to adopt the various advances of the times while still prioritizing the religious teachings that apply in the pesantren. With this, pesantren need not be afraid to progress and develop.

Abstract

In some units of educational institutions, there are still use monotonous learning strategies, the teacher lecturing and students listening, it has an impact on students who are not enthusiastic about participating in the class. The index card match strategy is not implemented in all educational units, due to the lack of teachers in applying this method in classroom learning. This method can overcome the problems that exist in the field related to the learning process. The purpose of this study is to interpret the implementation of learning strategies with the index card match to increase student motivation at MTS N 2 Sleman. This research is qualitative. Data collection techniques used are observation methods, documentation methods, and interview methods. The data analysis technique used is Miles, Huberman, and Saldana with the stages of data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and concluding. The results showed that the implementation of the learning strategy with the index card match approach was successful and successful in increasing students learning motivation at MTS N 2 Sleman. Therefore, the index card match strategy will provide new nuance for education, especially in the learning process. Learning with this strategy will make the learning atmosphere more fun and not boring.

Abstract

In realizing the development of abilities in children, an effort is needed to meet their success. Success must be due to a plan or strategy, where this will not be far from the educational program that runs the learning process. Especially in early childhood who are still happy with playing, knowledge and insight need to build to go to the next level. This results in the development of children needing a fun learning model and using a play system. From this, this article will discuss the education of mushroom games in the development of emotional stimulants for early childhood to be a stimulant device in the emotional development of early childhood. Where in collecting data the researchers used the research method of the literature study method, which in the end the various literature studies were analyzed and concluded by the purpose of writing this article.

Abstract

This paper aims to explain the assessment of learning, assessment for learning, and assessment as learning-based internet learning, using library research and descriptive analysis method. Data obtained from various library sources, both books and journals, both printed and online, relate to the concepts of assessment of learning, assessment for learning, and assessment as learning. Based on the results of the analysis it was found that each approach has its contribution to student learning. This is because the objectives of each approach are different. Assessment of learning aims to consider student placement, grade promotion, and awarding certificates. While the assessment for learning aims to provide information to teachers about the achievement of student competencies so that teachers can make decisions about the next learning. On the other hand, assessment as learning aims to monitor and self-correct students independently by students. Judging from the benchmarks that are used as comparisons, in the assessment of learning the comparisons are other students. In the assessment for learning, there are criteria made by the teacher or expectations. Meanwhile, in assessment as learning, the benchmark used is the student's personal goals. The key assessors in the assessment of learning and assessment for learning are teachers, while in assessment as learning the key assessors are students.
