Abstract

Tembang(poetry) is one of the important things in the socio-religious life of the Balinese people. They have four types of traditional tembang; they are sekar rare (gegendingan), sekar alit (macapat), sekarmadia (kidung), and sekaragung (kakawin). Tembang is intensively used in the socio-religious life of the Balinese people. It cannot be separated from the religious life of the Bali Hindus. In almost every ritual, especially the large-scale rituals such as the temple festival, the cremation ceremony ‘ngaben’, and tooth filing ceremony and so forth tembang is recited. It can be regarded as a sign that a ritual is being performed by the Hindus in Bali. Keywords: tembang, socio-religious, ritual, Hindus

Abstract

Slang is a style that is both socially privileged and confidential. Slang used as a lingua franca. Slang vocabulary can be a shortening of the word, the use of the word natural given new meaning or an entirely new vocabulary and changing. In addition, the hose can also be a reversal of sound, vocabulary commonly used in society to be strange, funny, and even di?erent from the true meaning. Almost all the people who were in this world has its slang, respectively. Community native speakers of Japanese slang split into several types, among others; Ryuukou Go (jargon), or Kuse Cant Go, Argot, Collaqial (Gen Go Sei Katsu), and Wakamono Kotoba. Slang in Japan can be found in everyday conversation and some are used in print as in the comics. Keywords: slang used, young people, relationships

Abstract

This article discusses the misuse of English on public information boards. Data were taken randomly from public information boards installed in Badung and Denpasar, Bali. The public information boards are selected in two languages, Indonesian and English. The method used is simak method equipped with recording techniques, detailed reading and sorting data to obtain adequate data. Furthermore, qualitative descriptive method is applied with analytical techniques based on British grammatical and sociolinguistic theory. The conclusions obtained still have errors in the use of English on public information boards. The error is in the grammar error model, word selection, and writing in English. Abstract

The presence of Barong and Rangda in Bali are still exist on the modern era, it is because of some factors, the factor are : (a) there are always the magic powers coming from both Barong and Rangda, when we do some celebrations, we pray for them especially by the community or the villages; they are able to lee appeal of our tourism sustainable to preserve and to improve the Bali culture till nowadays; (c) by learning and keep knowing the Hindu literatures and should be required doing by all Hindu mainly which is related by those concepts, for Balinese, the Hindus literatures are for instance : Siwa Purana, Wisnu Purana, Lontar Barong Swari, Lontar Purwagama Sesana, Lontar Siwa Tatwa, Lontar Kandapat Bhuda, Lontar Pengerehan, Lontar Canting Emas, etc. Keywords : Existence, Barong and Rangda, Modern Era, Hindu Religion

Abstract

Massive use of the Internet creates problems in the transfer of the language of the urban community, because it needs a method of borrowing as a way out for the enrichment of Indonesian variety by reducing the risk of negative impacts of the use of language uptake in communication in student environment STIKI Denpasar as IT-based High School. This research is conducted qualitative and quantitative approach with Linguistic study. There are also data collection techniques conducted by observation, documentation, interview and FGD. Level of accuracy of data sources based on information on: Characteristics of ICT term in conversation, Student reactions to the use of ICT terms, and the impact of ICT language transfer using Borrowing method. Implementation of Borrowing method is a smart solution to cultivate knowledge about how to use the term uptake of ICT for urban adolescents can more easily and practically apply the internet, without damaging the Indonesian order is good and right. Abstract

Increased competition, the impact on the role of consumers who are becoming increasingly important for the survival of most companies. Customers or consumers are now faced with various choices more than ever before. Therefore, the role of managed, it will determine the company’s success in the future. One factor is the key to organizational success is the role of the employee’s performance. Performance is the result of work that can be realized by employees of any work performed and serves as an assessment tool for the employee or the organization. So the employee’s performance will largely determine the performance of the organization. This research analyzes the causal relationship between variables, work environment, job satisfaction, and work conflict on employee performance in PT. Regional Development Bank Branch Karangasem Bali. The purpose of this study was to determine the e?ect of variable working environment, job satisfaction, and work conflict on employee performance in PT. Regional Development Bank Branch Karangasem Bali. This study examined the e?ect is causal because the independent variables (Work environment, job satisfaction, and conflicts of Work) to the dependent variable (Employee Performance). Object of research at PT. Regional Development Bank Branch Karangasem Bali diteli is 102 people, while the data were analyzed with statistical analysis tools Structural Equation Model (SEM) PLS. Based on the analysis it can be concluded that the work environment and job satisfaction and significant positive e?ect on employee performance, but variable labor conflict berpengaru terhadapa negative employee performance. Abstract

This paper seeks to understand the application of structuralism theory in a dissertation that examines the novels of Balai Pustaka tradition. E?orts to understand the application of such a theory require the method of deconstruction readings, thereby disclosing the theoretical concept’s background, theoretical modification abilities and operational theories and methods. This is important because generally the works of academics have a weakness in the ability of theory modification and operational weaknesses over the theoretical concepts. Abstract

This paper focuses its discussion about tenses in Japanese language. Di?erent from Indonesian language but similar to English language, the Japanese language also has tenses in its grammar categories. The mastering of this grammar category namely tense in Japanese is an essential element for Japanese language learners so that they can be able to produce accurate Japanese sentences which will never be misunderstood by their listeners or readers. Abstract

This article aims to understand the diversity of cultural knowledge of the Ndiken clan of the Marori Men Gey ethnic group in Merauke district of Papua Province about the environment. The historical relation of man with the surrounding natural environment fosters natural knowledge, culture, and language in the life of ethnic communities in the land of Papua. The values and knowledge created are inherited and embedded in their daily lives. The diversity of cultural ecological knowledge has become an important source in understanding the e?orts to utilize and conserve natural resources in the land of Papua.
