Abstract

Stunting is a form of malnutrition which is measured based on the 2005 WHO standard deviation. Stunting can be assessed by measuring the height and age of H/A according to the WHO child growth standard, that is, if the z-score H/A is <-2 SD . Health cadres need an application to make it easier to record, report, and prevent stunting. This study was to determined the effectiveness of the ability of cadres to use android-based applications for stunting prevention. This study used a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental design using a pre post test without a control group. The sample of this research is health cadres in Banyubiru Village and Ambarawa District, Semarang Regency, Central Java with a total sample of 120 respondents used purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used a questionnaire. Our bivariate data analysis ed Wilcoxon test. The results showed that there was an increase in the ability of cadres to use android-based stunting prevention applications, with a p value of 0.0001. cadres who have wanted the application need to be continuously empowered, and the use of the application can be used continuously.

Abstract

Pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) is a chronic infectious disease that is contagious and can cause death. Pulmonary TB is also a global health problem that causes the poor health of millions of people every year. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is one form of implementation to overcome client non-compliance with taking medication. The aim of this study was to analyze the factors that influence ACT in pulmonary TB patients. This study uses a descriptive research design with an analytical survey approach. The population is all pulmonary TB patients at the Frequent Health Center and the Glugur Health Center. The number of samples in this study amounted to 35 people. The sampling technique used is consecutive sampling. Analysis of the data used is the chi square test. The results showed that the results showed that there was a relationship between age and ACT (p value = 0.004., <0.005), there was no relationship between sex and ACT (p value = 0.006., <0.005), there was a relationship between length of time suffering from pulmonary TB. with ACT (p value= 0.001, <0.005), indicating that there is a relationship between age and ACT (p value= 0.001., <0.005) and there is a relationship between never getting counseling about pulmonary TB with ACT (p value= 0.004., <0.005). The conclusion of this study is that the factors that influence ACT in pulmonary TB patients are age, duration of suffering from pulmonary TB, length of time undergoing OAT treatment and having received health education about pulmonary TB.

Abstract

Patients undergoing hemodialysis result in physical and psychological problems. Psychological problems can cause a decrease in the resilience of hemodialysis patients, resulting in delays in the healing process. The purpose of this study was to determine the picture of resilience in patients undergoing hemodialysis at Al-Ihsan Hospital, Bandung Regency. The type of this research is quantitative research with correlational method. The research instrument used was the Connor and Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC). The population of this study were 180 patients with a sample of 125 hemodialysis patients. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis with Spearman rank correlation test. The results of the study obtained low resilience (51.2 %), each resilience indicator obtained tenacity (72.8%), strength (82.6%), and optimism (81.5%). Based on the results of the study, it can be said that patients undergoing hemodialysis at Al-Ihsan Hospital, Bandung Regency, are classified as low resilience. It is expected that hemodialysis nurses can motivate and provide optimal nursing care to increase the resilience of hemodialysis patients at Al-Ihsan Hospital, Bandung Regency.

Abstract

Indonesia is predicted to have the seventh-highest number of people with type 2 DM worldwide in 2030. Consistent adherence to taking medication as prescribed is the key to diabetes self-care. Poor treatment adherence is associated with poor glycemic control, microvascular and macrovascular complications, and increased care costs. Treatment success is influenced by patient adherence to treatment which is a major factor in therapy outcomes. Objective to identify the relationship between patient characteristics and adherence to medication for patients with type 2 diabetes. This type of research is an analytic observational study with a cross-sectional approach. The samples used were 126 patients who were taken using a purposive sampling technique according to the inclusion criteria: being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus and receiving a prescription for antidiabetic drugs. The medication adherence instrument used the Morisky Medication Adherence questionnaire (MMAS-8). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and the Kendal-tau test. Adherence to taking medication in patients with Type 2 DM was mostly moderate (54%). There was a significant relationship between age (p=0.043), education level (p=0.000), gender (p=0.008), duration of suffering from Type 2 DM (p=0.000), frequency of taking medication (p=0.001), comorbidities (p=0.000), with adherence to taking DM medication. Still, there was no significant relationship between work type and adherence to DM medication (p=0,333). Type 2 DM patients mostly have a moderate level of medication adherence. Medication Compliance in Patients with Type 2 DM is influenced by several factors, including age, gender, education level, duration of suffering from DM, number of drugs taken, frequency of medication, and comorbidities.
