Efforts to improve the quality of mathematics learning process is still being done to achieve the goals of mathematics education. However mathematics until now was difficult by many primary school students, one indicator is the low student learning outcomes. This study aimed to find out how the application of a combination of lectures, demonstrations and exercises with contextual learning approach to improving student learning outcomes in mathematics Elementary School Class IIIA 81 South Bengkulu. The research was conducted in January to March 2015 with two study cycles consisting of: (1) the first cycle, and (2) the second cycle which includes the following activities: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Results of the study as follows: (1) an increase in the quality of learning through the implementation of a combination of lectures, demonstrations and exercises with contextual learning approach given by the teacher, starting from the first cycle to the second cycle, and (2) the application of a combination of lectures, demonstrations and exercise with contextual learning approach to students in the first cycle reaches an average value of 62.9 and the second cycle reached an average of 87.1. Of the 14 students who took the test individually formative there are 9 people who were able to cross the line to pass a minimum in the first cycle and all the students pass the study on the second cycle. Thus, learning by applying a combination of lectures, demonstrations and exercises with contextual learning approach to student mastery of the material in relation to the learning of mathematics to be taught basic competencies was able to achieve study defined indicators.

Mathematics is a study material which has an abstract object and is constructed through a process of deductive reasoning, that the truth of a concept is obtained as a logical result of the truth previously been received, so that the relationship between concepts in mathematics are very strong and clear. Learning math is not just put on absorption through the attainment of information, but more emphasis on the development of capabilities and information processing. Therefore the student activity should be increased through exercises or mathematical tasks by working groups and explaining ideas to others. The aim of Classroom Action Research is to determine the increase in students' mathematics learning outcomes through the implementation of the RPP group investigation model of education based on the characters and want to know the impact of learning activities of students after applied RPP group investigation model based character education in class XII IPA 1 SMA N 5 South Bengkulu school year 2014/2015. This classroom action research conducted in two cycles. From the results of action taken proven to improve student achievement of learning outcomes by achieving the ideal standard. From 74.07% in Cycle I, can be increased in the second cycle to 100% with the achievements of the average value of student learning outcomes by 78, 296 in the first cycle and 87.63 in the second cycle and have achieved mastery in classical studies or indicators set. This action research results show that the application of the RPP with Group Investigation model-based character education proved effective in increasing the activity and results of students' mathematics learning and practical because it can be implemented properly in SMA N 5 South Bengkulu.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of using direct instruction and brainstorm strategy in developing student achiement in learning history at SMK N 2 Bukittinggi. This research held in 2 PKAP 2 class. This research used class room action research approach and consists of three cycles. The findings of the study showed that there are significant improvement in student achievement toward three cycles and also the improvement in student activity during the class. Students were involved deeply in learning process and be able to express their opinion about the issues discussed in the class. The researcher recommended the use of this strategy in school as well as conducting more studies regarding its effect by using other samples in different environments.

This study aims to improve the fine motoric abilities of six-year-old children at Mardhiyah Bandar Create Kindergarten in Padang. Activities to improve fine motor skills are done by taking green bean seeds and then inserting green bean seeds into bottles. This research was conducted using a single subject research method consisting of two conditions. The two conditions are the baseline condition (A) with five meetings and intervention conditions (B) with seven meetings.Improving fine motor skills by taking green beans from five fingers to two fingers can increase by a percentage of 73% from 25%. It can be concluded that taking green beans with fingers can improve the fine motor skills of a six-year-old child.Based on the results and discussion of children's fine motor abilities can be increased by taking green beans and then put the seeds into a bottle. Therefore, how to take green beans can be applied so that children's motoric development can increase.

This study discusses marching skills for mildly retarded students. The aim is to prove that effective modeling techniques are used in improving the line-marching skills of mildly retarded students. This type of research is an experimental method in the form of pre-experimental with the type of one group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study were nine junior high school students at SLB N 2 Padang, all populations were sampled called saturated sampling. The technique of collecting data through an act test in the form of a pretest to determine the initial conditions of students in line marching movements, then given treatment using modeling techniques and continued by providing posttest processed and compared using the Wilcoxon Rank Tast test. From the results of the study the data obtained on average at the time of the pretest is 45.00 while for the posttest there is an increase that is to 81.67. Data is processed more scientifically using Wilcoxon test obtained value of tast rank between pretest and posttest 2.754 with Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) 0.006. Predetermined probability α = 0.05. The study was conducted based on the problems found in the reality. There are deaf students who have difficulty in solving the counting operations in mathematics learning due to a lack of innovation in the use of teaching aids or media on the learning process or learning. The purpose of this study is to validate and develop mathematics learning media logic in improving the ability to counting number operations in deaf students. The type of research used is research & development, which is a research method used to produce certain products and test the validity of these products. The subject of this research and development trial is by related experts such as mathematicians and children with special needs specifically.The result of the data from the experts' validation test on the mathematics deaf logic learning media in improving the ability to calculate the counting numbers of deaf students based on four aspects, that is practicality aspect, the usefulness aspect and the feasibility aspect. Then, the mathematics learning media from the logic is revised by being re-developed, so that it can obtain the specifications as it. The final form of this product is in the form of mathematical learning media logic in improving the ability to counting number operations in deaf students.

This study aims to explain the effectiveness of the ABA / VB approach in improving expressive (intraverbal) language skills of autism children in SDIK Makkah. The subject in this study was a girl with the initials B who was 8 years old, and was diagnosed with autism. The method used in this study was Single Subject Research (SSR) with A-B-A design for 16 sessions with a single subject. The initial baseline phase (A1), namely the condition of the child before being treated consists of 4 sessions, the intervention phase (B) is the phase where the child is treated consists of 8 sessions and the second baseline (A2) is the condition after the intervention is stopped which consists of 4 sessions. Processing data is measured and analyzed using visual graphics. The results obtained are the ABA / VB approach is effective in improving expressive (intraverbal) language skills of children with autism. This is evidenced by the results of the percentage overlap namely the comparison between the initial baseline (A1) with an intervention of 0% and the comparison of the second baseline (A2) with an intervention of 37.5%.

This research is motivated by the reading ability of children with learning difficulties that are still low, so that the result of this child cannot follow learning optimally due to these limitations. The purpose of this study was to prove the effect of learning methods of reading without spelling (BMTM) on improving the ability to read the beginning of a child's learning difficulties. The research subjects were children of learning difficulties with female age 8 years who attended Semen Padang 1 Elementary School, Indarung, Lubuk Kilangan, Padang. This study uses the type of Single Subject Research approach with AB design which analyzes the comparison between the baseline results (before intervention is given) and the results of the intervention (when given treatment). Data collection is done by direct observation using the type of measurement, namely the percentage (%) with the data recording tool using a data collection format that is a test instrument in the form of a checklist. Data analysis techniques use graphical visual analysis. The results of this study prove that the ability to read the beginning of children who have learning difficulties has increased after the intervention using the method (BMTM).

This study discusses vocational skills in making sprouts in mentally retarded children. This research is experimental research. The purpose of this study is to prove that an effective explicit intruction model is used to improve vocational skills in making sprouts in mildly mentally retarded children. The type of research used is the experimental method in the form of pre-experimental with the type of one group pretest-posttest design and compared using the Wilcoxon Rank Tast test. From the results of the research data, the average at the pretest was 53.80 while for the posttest there was an increase of 85.80. The data was processed more scientifically using the Wilcoxon test obtained by rank tast value between pretest and posttest 2,060 with Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) 0.039.
