Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of Proklamator Bung Hatta’s library Unit Bukittinggi innovation program in improving library services and increasing interest in visiting users through the provision of a lesehan reading area, namely an instagrammable reading corner. Sampling in this study was conducted by purposive sampling method. Data was collected by means of interviews and documentation. This data analysis technique was carried out in three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that: (1) the instagrammable reading corner at the Proklamator Bung Hatta’s Library Unit Bukittinggi has implemented an element of novelty because it has provided a different reading area than before; (2) the instagrammable reading corner at the Proklamator Bung Hatta’s Library Unit Bukittinggi has implemented an effective element because the purpose of making the reading area can be carried out properly as long as the instagrammable reading corner is established. (3) the instagrammable reading corner at the Proklamator Bung Hatta’s Library Unit Bukittinggi has implemented an element of usefulness because the reading corner has been able to provide great benefits for users compared to the previous reading area. (4) Instagrammable reading corner at Proklamator Bung Hatta’s Library Bukittinggi has implemented transferable or replicable elements because the indicators from the reading corner are unique and interesting so that they can be recommended for other agencies who want to create reading corners. (5) the instagrammable reading corner at the Proklamator Bung Hatta’s Library Unit Bukittinggi has implemented an element of sustainability because the instagrammable reading corner will be held continuously at the Proklamator Bung Hatta’s Library Unit Bukittinggi.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a tremendous impact on the economy, from its emergence until now after this pandemic began to subside. In 2021 almost the whole world faces an economic downturn and causes a very deep contraction as almost all countries carry out strict mobility restrictions. In Indonesia itself, the economy has deteriorated starting in the second quarter (Q2) 2020. Then in the following periods it can start to rise, starting from the second quarter of 2021, which turned positive at 7.07% of the impact of investment and an increase in household consumption. It turns out that the MSME sector has a very significant and strategic role to support these improvements and even in the future it is predicted that it will continue to move as an engine of economic recovery after the Covid-19 pandemic. It should also be noted that the positive contribution brought by MSMEs will be able to save the economy from conditions of lack of certainty. In order to strengthen this, support and various ideas, innovation and collaboration from various parties are needed so that MSMEs can get out of pressure and support economic growth. Therefore, this study wishes to contribute by looking at the potential for adopting and implementing social media strategies and digital literacy skills and information literacy implemented in various Siger Innovation start-up programs and activities in supporting MSMEs in contributing to economic recovery after the Covid-19 pandemic. 19, especially for Lampung Province. This study uses a qualitative-descriptive approach in order to present a detailed description of the setting and literacy skills for MSME actors. The results of the study show that the social media strategy and the adoption of ideas and the implementation of digital literacy and information literacy skills for prospective and MSME actors in Lampung Province have urgency to be implemented immediately as a solution to the challenges of possible innovation (behavior) changes (behavior) habits and operations of the MSME sector after Covid-19 . Accelerate the transformation of MSMEs through strengthening the digital literacy and information literacy sectors to support MSME business functions (production, promotion and marketing) after Covid-19.

Abstract

Digital technology is developing very rapidly and touching all sectors of life, including the world of education. Efforts to improve the digital skills of the community, especially the younger generation, have begun to minimize negative content that has flooded the digital space. The Covid-19 pandemic The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated digital transformation in Indonesia. This study aims to describe and measure the level of digital literacy among vocational students in the pandemic era. The research method used is descriptive quantitative. The object that became the research target were all active students of the Vocational Faculty, Airlangga University. The sampling method in this study used purposive random sampling. Data collection in this study used a survey method through the distribution of questionnaires. The data extracted to determine the level of digital literacy of students includes technology, ethics and cognitive. The data obtained were then analyzed using SPSS version 25. The results showed that students' digital literacy skills were in the high category. Regarding the online learning format for vocational education, research findings mention the need for digital literacy education for students. The results of the research can be used as recommendations to improve the quality of vocational education with online/online formats and materials for making digital literacy education modules for students.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the impact of increasingly rapid technological developments, so that it affects the existence of libraries and archives in 50 Kota. The purpose of this study was to describe the context, content, communication, and connection of Instagram at the Library and Archives Service of 50 Kota Regency as a promotional media. This is a qualitative study that uses the descriptive method. Interviewing, observation, and documenting procedures are used to obtain data. Based on research findings and discussion, it shows that library promotion through social media Instagram has fulfilled two of the four elements used. The elements that are met are the application of communication and connection. Based on the research results the application of context or message content seen from the clarity and completeness of the message is not yet persuasive. The application of content or message packaging has not been running effectively, it can be seen from the uploaded content that is less varied and the appearance of the feed on the @perpustakaandaerah50k account is less attractive. The application of communication or interaction between the @perpustakaandaerah50k admin and followers has been going well, as can be seen from the comments and direct messages which were responded positively by the admin. And the application of the connection is also going well, as can be seen from the use of the hashtag feature in promotions through Instagram social media, making it easier for followers to get information.

Abstract

The limited collection as a source of information in compiling a research framework is a problem that is often faced by students, so the library must evaluate the collection to find out how the collection is used by the user. There are several methods that can be used to evaluate library collections, one of which is to use citation analysis. The purpose of this study is to describe the characteristics of literature based on type, language of instruction, author, title, and half life) and its availability in the UNP Library. This research is a quantitative research with descriptive method. The population in this study were 105 Indonesian Literature UNP students' thesis for 2019 - 2021 and the sample used was 40 theses. The instrument in this study was the use of collection recording tables. Data collection was carried out using the documentation method through a list of citation data fields. Data analysis used the percentage formula and interpreted with percentage criteria then made a cumulative frequency distribution table and then calculated the half life of the literature. The results of this study were that the book was the most cited type of collection at 64.2%, the most cited book title was Qualitative Research Methodology at 19.3%, the most frequently cited journal was the Language and Literature Journal published by Padang State University 39.4%, the most-cited author is Hasanuddin WS as much as 11.4%, the most-cited language is Indonesian 98.8%, the half-life of a book is 14 years, the half-life of a journal is 12 years and the collection utilization rate is The Padang State University Library in the 2019-2021 Indonesian Literature thesis is 66.7% available literature and 33.3% unavailable literature. It can be concluded that the level of utilization of the collections of the Padang State University Library in Indonesian Literary Thesis 2019-2021 is high.

Abstract

Preservation of library materials plays an important role in maintaining media and information that can be handed down to future generations and is necessary for long-term survival. The library as an institution that stores various information and knowledge, and the community, as information consumers, requires its existence, of course, expects that the library can store and share information and knowledge as needed. This is a challenge for library managers how information in the form of books, print or digital media can last a long time and not lose information or knowledge even though it has been a long time. Based on the above, the writer tries to write about the collection preservation action at the Goethe-Institut Bandung Library. The author employs a qualitative research methodology.Using a descriptive approach and gathering data techniques are carried out through the results of web analysis and literature studies. Besides that, the writer also uses interview, observation, and observation techniques, which are compiled to become a conclusion. The purpose of this study is to determine how far the preservation measures are carried out by the Goethe-Institut Bandung Library and what is being done in processing the library to ensure that the collection is safe from various factors. In relation to the issue of preservation interests, there are three terms that must be understood in terms of scope and differences in importance between the three, namely: preservation , conservation and restoration. Preservation is closely related to collection policy and dealing with preservation on a large scale is unlikely to be successful and can be developed without a clear statement of purpose. Existing collection policies will assist in determining preservation priorities that lead to the interests of the collection itself.

Abstract

This study aims to find out what are the causes of damage to library materials at UPT IAIN Curup library and how to overcome the damage to library materials. This research is descriptive qualitative, which describes the facts and data collected and arranged in sentences. The data used are primary and secondary data. In addition, there are 3 data collection techniques in this study, namely: 1. observation, namely observing to collect data by looking directly at it, 2. Interviewing with specified informants 3. Documentation. Data analysis was carried out systematically, namely reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. This study shows that the cause of damage to library materials at the UPT Library of IAIN Curup, the first from internal factors, namely the quality of the paper is not good. The second is from external factors, namely damage caused by insects, dust, air temperature and humidity, light, chemicals, humans. How to overcome damage to library materials at the UPT Library of IAIN Curup, One factor is caused by internal factors, taking backup books, discarding damaged pages and photocopies of the reservoir book and then repairing it and serving it again. the two external factors, namely: insects, the librarian simply gives camphor in between books and bookshelves. Dust, the librarian put a doormat at every entrance and dusted the bookshelves with sprays and covers. Temperature and humidity damage from temperature and humidity, librarians simply move bookshelves that are too close to the wall. Light, the librarian simply moves the book to a place that is not exposed to sunlight. chemistry by preparing a backup book. Human beings, librarians give sanctions to users who destroy books, reprimand, make banners about how to enter the library.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the views or perceptions of teachers and librarians as well as the responses of Deaf students at SLB Negeri 1 Sungai Pagu to the deprivation of information access. The type of this research is qualitative using descriptive method. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires. These data were obtained from filling out questionnaires to six respondents at random and the results of interviews with school principals, librarians, teachers who had served as librarians, and six Deaf students from various levels. The results obtained are that some teachers at SLB Negeri 1 Sungai Pagu only understand this problem after receiving a simple explanation and in practice, the application of ethics to interacting with Deaf students is not optimal. In perception the librarian actually understands this problem, but she finds it difficult to overcome information deprivation because of the limited collection, access and facilities available in the library space. Based on the point of view of Deaf students, the lack of references to Deaf culture greatly impacts the low level of information absorption among Deaf students themselves.

Abstract

This research discusses how reader's advisory services create excellent reference services in libraries. This study uses a qualitative research design with data collection using literature. The readers' advisory service is a user-oriented service to assist users in choosing the best works and according to the needs of these users according to the librarian's knowledge. So that in this readers' advisory service librarians have extensive knowledge about the many collections and needs of users. From this research it can be seen that readers' advisory services are services that support the creation of excellent reference services. However, to create a readers' advisory service, a librarian is needed who is willing to always learn so that he can find collections that suit the needs of users.

Abstract

This article discusses the implementation of CRM in West Java Dispusipda. CRM in the library is very effective to do, because the main focus of the library is the user. The research method used in this article is a qualitative research method. The results of the analysis carried out are the implementation of CRM on the Candil application by providing interesting features, namely giving appreciation, requesting books, and bookshelves. It aims to achieve user satisfaction, which based on the analysis of the assessment of the Play Store application shows a good category.
