Jurnal Shanan
Jurnal Shanan bertujuan untuk menerbitkan hasil penelitian dosen-dosen dan para alumni Prodi Magister Pendidikan Agama Kristen serta para pendidik agama di luar UKI. Jurnal Shanan pertama kali diterbitkan pada bulan Maret 2017 melalui penerbit UKI Press dengan nomor ISSN 2549-8061. Jurnal ini dikelola oleh Program Studi Magister Pendidikan Agama Kristen UKI yang dimaksudkan untuk mempublikasikan karya-karya penelitian dosen, alumni, dan para pendidik agama Kristen di luar UKI. Jurnal ini memuat artikel-artikel penelitian yang berfokus pada pengembangan ilmu dan praktik pendidikan agama Kristen di lingkup gereja, keluarga, dan sekolah. Jurnal Shanan ditebitkan secara berkala dua kali dalam setahun, yaitu Maret dan Oktober. Fokus jurnal Shanan adalah Pendidikan Agama Kristen sedangkan cakupannya adalah Desain Program, Strategi Pembelajaran dan Kurikulum, Sejarah dan Filsafat, Teologi, Metodologi Pendidikan, Pendidikan dalam Masyarakat Majemuk, Evaluasi Pendidikan, Psikologi Pendidikan, Etika Profesi Guru, yang semuanya terkait dengan Pendidikan Agama Kristen.

Moral and spirituality for children are formed in a family through Christian religious education. Parents have a major role in Christian religious education for their children. However, according to the author's observation, it’s impossible for parents with intellectual disabilities to fulfill their duties as Christian religious education mentors in the family because of their limitations. Christian religious education for children who have parents with intellectual disabilities cannot be ignored. This study aims to explore Martin Luther's view on how the role of providing Christian religious education can be carried out for children who have parents with intellectual disabilities. By using qualitative research methods with a literature study approach or library research on primary and secondary book sources, the results obtained that Christian religious education is very important for children who have parents with intellectual disabilities. Closer family who have emotional relationship or can provide assistance even as a guide for organizing Christian religious education in the family. Likewise, the Church can cooperate with special competent institutions to provide guidance, especially for parents with intellectual disabilities in the mild category so that they can carry out Christian religious education in the family. In this way children who have parents with intellectual disabilities can feel the news of joy and lead them to grow in the faith of Christ's love. Fulfillment of physical needs must take place in balance with spiritual needs. However, these spiritual needs are sometimes neglected. The reason, that certain followers of Christ are too preoccupied with fulfilling biological needs. Spiritual aspects such as not a need. According to this problem, the purpose of this paper is to analyze the contribution of John Wesley's thoughts on the application of spiritual discipline through Christian Religious Education in elementary schools. It is necessary to apply spiritual discipline since childhood in order to maintain a balance between the human spiritual needs and the fulfillment of physical needs. The method used, qualitative through a literature study. This research describes the application of spiritual discipline as a contribution of John Wesley's thoughts and CRE in elementary schools. The results show, on the application of spiritual disciplines such as prayer, digging into the Bible, sacraments and social life are emphasized in CRE in elementary schools. This can be seen through several sources such as the curriculum and textbooks used. Concretely, the application of spiritual discipline in elementary schools, among others; the habit of praying, singing spiritual songs, reading the Bible, including extracurricular activities for fostering Christian faith in addition to class activities.

The formation of pietism refers to the warmth of faith, piety, and the personal experience of God's salvation. In particular, pietism is a concern for parents, schools and churches to address the social problems of teenagers: spending time playing games, low interest in reading the word, and fellowship with God. It causes the value of love to be low and it is easy to commit cyberbullying crimes. This study aims to analyze pietism in Christian religious education: the formation of piety in adolescents in the digital era. The research method used is qualitative research, with a literature study approach. This paper is a study of the pietism movement in Christian religious education in families, schools and churches. The results of this study are, parents, schools and churches form pietism in adolescents based on Christian values with an understanding of pietism, the impact of the digital era for adolescents, and the formation of pietism through the application of various programs in families, schools and churches.

Permasalahan proses pembelajaran pendidikan agama Kristen di perguruan tinggi umumnya terletak pada minimnya motivasi belajar karena penggunaan metode konvensional yang sering diterapkan oleh pendidik. Alternatif model pembelajaran yang inovatif yang dapat diterapkan adalah implementasi pembelajaran kooperatif dengan menggunakan metode STAD. Riset ini bermaksud untuk mengetahui peranan penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif dengan metode STAD terhadap minat mahasiswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran yang akan berkorelasi terhadap ketuntasan belajar mahasiswa pada bidang studi pendidikan agama Kristen. Dalam memperoleh data penelitian, penulis melakukan penelitian tindakan kelas yaitu sebuah kegiatan yang dilakukan secara langsung di kelas untuk mengamati rangkaian peristiwa-peristiwa guna memperbaharui praktek dalam pembelajaran agar proses belajar berkualitas sehingga hasil belajar menjadi maksimal. Adapun hasil riset menunjukkan bahwa implementasi kooperatif learning dengan metode STAD dalam mata kuliah pendidikan agama Kristen memiliki korelasi yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan minat belajar mahasiswa serta membuahkan produktivitas pembelajaran yang optimal.

Peran guru Kristen sebagai penuntun selama pembelajaran daring sangatlah berpengaruh terhadap minat belajar siswa. Dengan menuntun siswanya, guru memberi ruang kepada siswa untuk terlibat dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Namun pada praktiknya, masih ada siswa yang bosan, pasif, dan tidak berpartisipasi dalam proses pembelajaran, hal ini disebabkan oleh kurangnya bimbingan dari guru. Akibatnya, siswa tidak memperoleh pengalaman belajar yang bermakna. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, maka tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji peran guru Kristen sebagai penuntun, terhadap minat belajar siswa selama pembelajaran daring. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kajian literatur, yang menghasilkan pandangan bahwa guru Kristen menuntun siswa untuk menikmati keberadaan Tuhan di dalam proses pembelajaran, serta menjalani panggilan serta kompetensinya untuk melayani Tuhan. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh adalah peran guru Kristen sebagai penuntun, hanya dapat dilakukan dengan meneladani Kristus dan menjadikan Kristus sebagai landasan dalam mengajar, mendidik, memberi dorongan pada siswa, mempersiapkan setiap materi pembelajaran, dan menjadi agen rekonsiliasi Tuhan di dalam kelas. Guru Kristen disarankan untuk memfokuskan pembelajaran dan meneladani Kristus sebagai sumber dari segala sesuatu. Sedangkan untuk penelitian selanjutnya disarankan untuk melakukan penelitian tindakan kelas terkait topik ini sehingga bisa terukur dan diterapkan di sekolah secara langsung.

In the implementation of Family Christian Education, an appropriate learning model is needed, so that teaching can be stored well in the child's memory. Deuteronomy 6:4-9 is not only a theological concept in Family Education but also a learning model that is relevant to information processing theory. This study aims to determine the implementation of the learning model based on Deuteronomy 6:4-9 which is based on information processing theory. This study uses a qualitative approach using exegesis methods and literature review. The results of the study show that the content of teaching in family education based on Deuteronomy 6:4-9 introduces children to the One God from an early age, which must be taught repeatedly and binds to the child, so that teaching will be stored in long-term memory. Teaching that is done by parents repeatedly shows that the content of the teaching has important values and benefits that will bring attention to the child, which is then encoded. Applying the learning model by teaching repeatedly will make children's understanding and knowledge sharpened, stored and can be retrieved in solving problems and forming person with a strong faith.

The curriculum is the center or center of educational activities that greatly affect the implementation of the teaching and learning process. Due to the large influence of the curriculum on the implementation of teaching and learning activities, it is necessary to develop a curriculum that is in accordance with the needs of teaching and learning activities. One of the Christian education experts who contributed to the curriculum in the church is Maria Harris. Curriculum development begins with goal setting and is implemented in the Christian community. Maria Harris curriculum development offers new insights into the design of the Christian education curriculum model, which in this case can be recognized by its design and "educational" aesthetic characteristics. The purpose of this study was to design the Sunday School PAK curriculum using the Maria Harris theory. The research method used in this study is a qualitative research method that refers to library research, where researchers will use various literatures such as books or articles and other sources that are accurate and related to the application of the Maria Harris curriculum to the preparation of Christian Religious Education. Sunday school. The results of this study indicate that the application of the Maria Harris curriculum can help the church to be able to fulfill its duties and vocations through the stages in preparing the Sunday school curriculum.

Christian Youth in the Sungai Bahar area of Jambi Province are active smartphone users but have not received adequate guidance in their use. This is indicated by the use of smartphones not at the time and place. This study aims to provide an educational contribution for church youth in the field of digital literacy where they have knowledge and signs in digital-related self-expression so that all their digital activities are carried out by maintaining their integrity as church youth. Trying to form a digital culture that encourages the ability to take advantage of the digital era to become a source for increasing knowledge as church’s youth. The method used in this research is a qualitative research approach with a narrative story as a research method. A study with the researcher as the person who tells and writes what has been done through digital literacy activities for Christian youth in Sungai Bahar in the form of a Day Seminar and Revival Service. The article is presented by contrasting the positive with the negative that is inherent in the life of Christian youth in the digital era with the discussion limited to only four things are: 1) producing or losting, 2) cyber bullying or cyber caring, 3) flexing or humbling), 4) cursing or blessing.

In 2010 GMIT established a GMIT Constitution which regulates the teaching position as a periodic office chosen by the congregation (article 30:2-3). From the basic GMIT system, it encountered various problems in its implementation. To find out the problems in the background above, the focus of this research is how to implement the GMIT Basic Rules regarding teaching positions (presbyters) in GMIT congregations. This study uses a qualitative approach with 64 informants spread over 7 kalsis of GMIT area with observation, interview and documentation study techniques. The results obtained from this study are that the policy regarding teaching positions in the congregation as stated in the 2010 Church Order has not been implemented properly because: most of the congregations at GMIT do not yet have teachers; there are also congregations that have not implemented this policy because they want a professional teacher, appointed and financed by the congregation as a church employee with a church council decree; there is a small number of congregations at GMIT that already have teachers but most of them are lay people who give themselves to serve; because the 2010 Church Order provides space for the church to choose a teacher who may not have a PAK or Theological Education background, those who are elected should be trained by the church regularly for several months. However, the reality in the field is that the training before ordination only lasted 3 days and even then, more and more joined the provision of elders and deacons.

This research is based on the occurrence of a change in people's consumption. which was originally carried out on goods and services that contain use value has now change to consumption of goods and services that are carried out for the satisfaction of desires or what is called consumerism. The digital era is an era of good development for society. but, the digital era also has a negative impact on public consumption. because of the acceleration of more practical information, people are easily to consumptive and trapped with consumerism. Teenagers are groups that need to be guided, because the Teenagers phase still wants recognition of their identity in their lives so that acting consumptively can be an option for recognizing identity. The purpose of this study is to provide a description of how Christian Religious Education exists to provide understanding to teenager in preventing consumerism in the digital era. The research method used is qualitative, with the collection of library study data. The results is indicate that Christian religious education can teach about how teenagers should not be trapped by worldly things, prioritize use values in life, and how teenagers can become self-absorbed individuals. In this education, the competence of educators who are not hedonic is needed and in the evaluation of learning, the congruence evaluation model can be used.
