Abstract

Optimizing farmers' income can be done by optimizing land use, namely the agroforestry system, the problem is that the community has not applied the agroforestry system to their land on the grounds that plants growing understands will not produce maximum production. For this reason, it is necessary to carry out training activities for planting an agroforestry system for candlenut plants and tubers. Local tubers and candlenuts. The method used is firstly observing the location of the land that will be used as a training ground, secondly carrying out training activities on agroforestry systems by paying attention to the fertilizers used, the model beds. Which is made. The results of the training show that people who initially only planted tubers on open land would plant them under the candlenut plant. Enthusiastic in participating in the activity and there is also an increased understanding of the agroforestry system, this agroforestry training activity is important to optimize land use and increase farmers' income.

Abstract

The development of technology has changed the writing and data storage media from physical to digital form. This is also supported by the development of the world of engineering software which is now able to create and facilitate various human needs through computer applications. The Informatics Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, University of West Sulawesi, through a community service program, carried out computer application training activities to operate the two applications. This service activity aims to add insight and knowledge to the community, especially Vocational High School students on the use of computer applications, especially Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. The activities carried out can be said to be successful based on the achievements of the activities evaluated by looking at the abilities of the participants. As a result, this activity was able to help participants gain additional knowledge about Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel applications, as well as provide opportunities for students to gain experience being involved in training activities according to their field of knowledge.

Abstract

One of the factors that can support the realization of economic independence in Islamic boarding schools is the Santripreneur program. Al Islahuddiny Islamic Boarding School is one of the boarding schools that facilitates the development of santripreneur as a driver of economic activity in the Islamic boarding school environment. As a form of facilitation for the focus of developing the santripreneur, this community service activity was carried out. The method used in this community service activity is starting with the implementation of a focus group discussion (FGD) in order to formulate the root of the problem and needs and followed by entrepreneurship training by utilizing used goods as items of sale value. The economic empowerment activities of Islamic boarding schools carried out at the Al Islahuddiny Islamic Boarding School have been able to foster the spirit of innovation and creativity of students, while the student involved in this training came from 5 different units, ranging from Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs), Madrasah Aliyah (MA) to High Schools. Da’wah Science (STID). Student entrepreneurship training has encouraged the growth of the creation of handmade products that are processed in such a way from the results of recycling plastic waste.

Abstract

The Mentoring Activities for Strengthening the Learning Committee 3 focuses on designing and guiding reflection activities, which are part of the mentoring activities carried out by expert trainers at the Motivating School Program in Soppeng Regency to provide a better understanding of the implementation of an independent curriculum in the learning process. Expert trainers are here as facilitators who facilitate the strengthening of the learning committee 3 where the participants are the learning committee (school supervisors, principals, and teacher representatives who have attended training on the implementation of Activating School learning at the national level), and those who attend this activity are assisted schools. Expert trainers for this Motivating School Program which consists of 4 schools, namely SMA Negeri 5 Soppeng. SMP Muhammadiyah Lajoa, SMP Negeri 1 Watansoppeng, and SMP Negeri 1 Marioriwawo. This activity was held in the form of a workshop, the agenda of activities starting from the opening; guided self-learning: learning from experience; guided self-learning feedback; preparation facilitates reflection; prepare a moderation plan for the reflection session; identification of challenges in building a culture of reflection; formulating alternative solutions to challenges in building a culture of reflection; reflection: designing and guiding reflection; sharing learning committee good practices; learning committee reflection; and the last one is closing. This activity has an impact on participants in understanding the essence of reflection, the benefits of doing reflection, preparation before facilitating a reflection session, various strategies/methods in reflection, preparation of a moderation plan for reflection sessions, and identification of challenges that may occur in building a culture of reflection. In addition, Participants also gain skills in formulating key reflection questions in a positive atmosphere (the purpose of their development) and can arrange a moderation plan for reflection sessions.

Abstract

The topic of community service chosen by the community service team was sourced from initial observations made at the “Supel” Smoked Fish Home Industry (IRT) using local wisdom products from the East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province, namely Smoked Fish, so it needs to be preserved. This “Supel” Smoked Fish IRT will survive if it has good management in the form of financial management in accordance with accounting standards. Based on the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) conducted with IRT owners, it was found that the financial management of this IRT was not optimal, because while running the business, the "Supel" Smoked Fish IRT owner had not implemented financial records according to accounting standards, this was due to several obstacles, including: first, the owner's lack of understanding of financial records so that financial records are not carried out periodically. Second, the marketing of "Supel" Smoked Fish IRT has not been maximized using electronic media. The methods of implementing the service include Bookkeeping training and marketing counselling using electronic media. The final result of this service activity is that the owner of the "Supel" Smoked Fish IRT has an understanding of financial records that are in accordance with accounting standards which are then applied through periodic financial records, then product marketing assistance using electronic media in the form of Instagram in marketing "Supel" Smoked Fish products so that sales are achieved. Initially, only around 60% increased to 90%.
