Abstract

Urban development planning is to improve the quality and environmental sustainability in the city of Urban Sigi Biromaru Sigi Regency Central Sulawesi Province. This study aims to determine the planning of urban development in Sigi District. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis method by describing and mengintreprestasikan existing condition or relationship. Research on urban development planning in Sigi Regency with Minister of Forestry regulation No.71 / Menhut-II / 2009 on city forest management, technical aspects, economic aspects, ecological, social and cultural aspects. Technical aspects of urban forest of Regency of Sigi has wide of area of 5 Ha with kind of plant of headland, ebony, nyatoh, mahoni with spacing of 3x5 M. Ecological, social and cultural aspect is knowledge and knowledge of society in development which studied memeiliki category "Baik" from the perception of the community most states strongly agree and in accordance with the value of 4.87% in urban development planning in Sigi District. While the economic aspect in the planning of urban forest development in Sigi Biromaru Subdistrict Sigi Regency is using government (APBN). Adapted in a social environment with the right indicators and indicators for development in cities in Sigi Regency, with conditions not yet optimal with the final score of 1.4. The state of urban forest of Sigi Regency that has not been optimal since it is still not optimal

Abstract

Environmental degradation as indicated by the depletion of resources and the destruction of natural habitats is the impact of human-nature relationship. Furthermore, forest fires, illegal logging, gold mining and other related activities are forms of forest destruction that can be claimed to be more intense lately. Therefore, an initial measure should be carried out including identifying stakeholders’ responses toward the issues and assessment on the level of destruction. This study aims to examine stakeholders’ responses toward forest destruction in Tirtanagaya Village, Bolano Lambunu Sub-district, Parigi Moutong Regency. The techniques of data collection were observation and in-depth interview. Several key informants were selected for the interview in order to investigate their responses toward forest destruction in the study site. It used qualitative descriptive method for data analysis. In overall, the finding indicates that the responses of stakeholders in relation with forest destruction issues are relatively poor. It is evidenced by their low participation and lack of real actions to promote forest preservation. It will have a detrimental impact on the joint effort for overcoming the problems of forest destruction in Tirtanagaya Village.

Abstract

Management of National Parks cause interdependence of many parties so that required appropriate institutional arrangements. However, the rules which have been designed in an institution often not implemented by stakeholders sustainably. This phenomenon occurs in Lore Lindu National Park (LLNP), in which property rights and the rules of Community Conservation Agreement (CCA) designed since the early 2000s is not implemented by stakeholders in LLNP. This problem situation suspected closely related to the interests, capacity, rights, responsibilities, revenues and relationship between stakeholders in the management of national parks. This research aimed to understand how the interests, capacity, rights, responsibilities, revenues and relationship of the stakeholders affected the performance of CCA. To achieve these objectives, this study was using a stakeholder analysis with 4RS framework (rights, responsibility, revenues and relationship) and analysis of access. This study used qualitative research methods with conduct interviews with key informants to obtain deeply explanation about the role the stakeholders in the agreement. The study found that the high interests of stakeholders to resources of LLNP were land, timber for local need, biodiversity, water and tourism. Local community have high capacity to access gain of resources in LLNP, while the high control access capacity in LLNP were LLNP officer, Village Chiefs, Customary Institutions in homogenous villages and Village Conservation Council/LKD in Rimba zone. However, they did not have high capacity of access maintenance for the use of forest resources. Imbalance of rights, responsibilities and revenues of stakeholders became one the constraints for the sustainability CCA. The relationship between local communities, local institutions to BBTNLL was categorized as poor, even though it has constructed efforts of conservation agreements

Abstract

This research aimed to arrange conceptual model of financial analysis of the community-rubber forest. This research was conducted in April- Jun 2017 in Po’ona village, Lembo Raya Sub district Morowali Utara district, Central Sulawesi Province. Data of this research was collected by interview with the farmers of a rubber forest, analysed with financial analysis, with applied a dynamic system model. This research applied the program of Stella in arranging the dynamic system model of financial analysis of the community-rubber forest. The result of this study showed that system dynamic model was able to be applied in financial analysis of community - rubber forest.  Based on this analysis, the community-rubber forest is feasible to be developed in Po’ona Village with the interest rate of 14%, because it generates NPV greater than 1. The NPV of community – rubber forest in Po’ona Villege with the interest rate of 14% was 72.408.918,46 IDR/Ha. Conceptual model of financial analysis of community-rubber forest could be applied for financial analysing the others of community – rubber forest.

Abstract

Kapopo Forest Park is part of the Central Sulawesi Grand Forest Park (Tahura), a natural conservation area that functions as a conservation forest. This study aims to investigate the potential of Kapopo Forest Park to be developed as an ecotourism. The study was carried out in Kapopo Village, Sigi Biromaru Sub-district, Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi. It was conducted for three months, in May – July 2017. The data analysis used the SWOT analysis method while the data were collected through observation, documentation and in-depth interviews with purposive sampling technique. The findings of this study show that Kapopo Forest Park is a potential tourist attraction for its rich biodiversity and beautiful views. The tourists will be exposed to exotic beauty as well as the uniqueness, authenticity and diversity of flora and fauna. The development strategy requires the segmentation support to introduce and promote Kapopo Forest Park as ecotourism and to raise public awareness about conservation efforts.

Abstract

This study aims to determine stakeholder interests in community empowerment programs in Namo Village Forest, Kulawi District. This study uses a qualitative method, sampling is done by purposive sampling the number of respondents 8. The analysis used is the analysis of influence and importance. The results showed that the level of influence and interests of stakeholders in community empowerment in Namo Village Forest is very diverse, which can be classified as stakeholders who are in the position of Key Player, Subject, Crowd and Context Setter. The stakeholders are Namo Village Forest Management Institute (LPHD), Central Sulawesi Provincial Forestry Service (DISHUT), HL Palu-Poso BPDAS, Kulawi Forest Management Unit (KPH), Kulawi Community and Village Empowerment Office (DPMD) Sigi, IMUNITAS (NGO), The Jembata Foundation (NGO) and the Namo.No Adat Institution. Stakeholders who play a role in empowerment in the Namo Village Forest are stakeholders from government agencies, private agencies and community leaders. The pattern of stakeholder relationships that occur in the community empowerment program in Namo Village Forest, there are three (3) patterns of stakeholder relationship criteria, namely communication, coordination and cooperation.

Abstract

Sigimpu Village is one of the villages that adopts a simple agroforestry pattern, where plants are only as protectors for agricultural crops, in plants meaning only as fences or aisles for agricultural crops. Because it has a very high economic value, soil fertility, and also extensive land. Planting agroforestry crops can provide income. This study aims to study the income and feasibility of agroforestry farming in the village of Sigimpu, District of Palolo, Sigi Regency. This study was conducted in July to September 2017. Sampling in this study using random (simple rondom samples), research in this population is agroforestry farmers with a total of 204 farmers, and for the number of research samples (respondents) using slovin research with an error rate of 10 %, thus the respondents in this study were 68 farmers. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews using questionnaires and literature study. This study shows that the average cocoa candlenut agroforestry farming is Rp. 18,203,474.63 / 1,228 Ha / Year. The feasibility of farming is 7.5, this shows that the candlenut agroforestry farming in Sigimpu Village, Palolo District is feasible, because R / C> 1.

Abstract

Change of function of forest land is a change in the function of the main forest into non-forest areas such as, settlements, agricultural areas and plantations. The community has the incentive to perform the function of forest land. The purpose of this study is to determine the community's motivation to transfer the function of forest land to agricultural land in the village. Bakubakulu Palolo Subdistrict, Sigi Regency. This research was carried out for three months, from May to June 2017. The research location was in Bakubakulu Village Palolo Subdistrict, Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out by using information retrieval through surveys (observation directly) to the object to be examined, including observations of actual conditions in the field consisting of observations of the conversion of the function of forest land into agricultural land by the community in Bakubakulu Village, Palolo District, Sigi Regency. The method used is descriptive in 1-3-5. The results of the study indicate the level of community motivation based on material needs is very high. The community conducts the conversion of the function of forest land into agricultural land in order to have productive land for agricultural / gardening activities in order to get good harvests. to meet daily needs.Keywords: Motivation, Forest Land Function Expert, Community

Abstract

Forests and surrounding communities are two components of the ecosystem that must be prioritized for attention in an effort to ensure sustainable management of forest resources. Sustainable forest resources are expected to provide life insurance for the surrounding community. The life of the village community around the forest cannot seek from the existence of the forest where they depend for their livelihood, the forest is a source of fulfillment of their daily needs and a source of family income. The purpose of this study aims to see people's preferences for forest use in Labuan Kungguma Village, Labuan District, Donggala Regency. This research was conducted for two months, from October to December 2016. The research location was located in Labuan Kungguma Village, Labuan District, Donggala Regency. The research method used a survey method, which describes quantitatively the tendency of preferences for the use of forest resources from a community population in Labuan Kungguma Village, Labuan District, Donggala Regency. The types and sources used are primary data and secondary data. The number of respondents who will be interviewed in this study in 30 households, using the assessment method. Respondents were selected using simple random sampling method. The results of the research in Labuan Kungguma Village, Labuan District, Donggala Regency, show that the highest preference for forest use for the community in Labuan Kungguma Village is the use of production forests as a source of land for gardening, processing wood pads, and rattan collectors.Keywords: Preference, Forest Utilization, Local Communities, Production Forest

Abstract

In planning forest rehabilitation, support is needed so that the process of implementing forest rehabilitation can run well, rehabilitation of forests and land RHL has a major influence on the condition of the surrounding area because the purpose of forest and land rehabilitation is to improve, restore and restore the condition of damaged forests so that they can function with both as a regulator of water governance. The purpose of this study is to describe the forest rehabilitation planning process, and  find out community support in forest rehabilitation planning. This research was conducted for 2 months from August to September 2019 in Wawujai Village, Marawola Barat District, Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi Province. The method in this Paeneltian uses descriptive research methods using primary data and secondary data as the type and source of data, at the data collection stage the data collection techniques used were interviews with 100 respondents of household heads who deliberately chose Purposive Sampling. From the results of the study found the characteristics of respondents consisted of education, employment, income for the rehabilitation plan of the forest area to be rehabilitated covering 50 hectares, 80 percent of respondents were supported and 20 respondents did not support forest rehabilitation planning.Keywords :Community support,planning,forest rehabilitation
