Abstract

This research is motivated by the limited availability of interactive educational media for introducing the basic movements of the Legong Dance in Buleleng Regency, resulting in the public particularly the younger generation lacking adequate understanding of this classical Balinese dance. The purpose of this study is to develop an Augmented Reality–based learning application called iLegong, using a fifty-thousand-rupiah banknote as a marker, and to evaluate the feasibility, quality, and user experience of the resulting application. The study was conducted in Buleleng Regency using a Research and Development approach with the Multimedia Development Life Cycle model, which consists of six development stages: concept formulation, design planning, material collecting, assembly, testing, and distribution. User experience testing was carried out using the User Experience Questionnaire administered to forty respondents. The results show that the iLegong application was successfully developed, featuring three-dimensional visualizations of Legong Dance basic movements, supporting text, audio, and responsive interactions. Content and media expert assessments indicated a very high level of feasibility, while user experience evaluations placed all dimensions in the “very good” category, with the attractiveness aspect obtaining the highest score. These findings demonstrate that iLegong is suitable as an effective interactive learning medium for introducing the basic movements of the Legong Dance and holds potential for further development across various Balinese dances as well as cross-platform implementation.

Abstract

Business process modeling plays an essential role in helping organizations improve operational efficiency and maintain process consistency. However, many organizations still rely on spreadsheets as a medium for documenting processes, which requires manual interpretation before being converted into Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) diagrams. This study develops an automated rule-based method to transform spreadsheet content directly into BPMN diagrams. Each row in the spreadsheet is analyzed and mapped into process elements such as activities, events, decision points, and process flows. The method includes data normalization, structural mapping, BPMN XML construction, and structural validation to ensure compliance with BPMN standards. The experiments were conducted using three business process datasets from cooperative finance, poultry farming, and academic writing services. Each process contained between 21 and 29 activities, providing sufficient structural variation to assess the reliability of the method. The similarity between the automatically generated diagrams and manually created diagrams was measured using a label-based similarity approach, yielding values ranging from 0.85 to 1.00. These results indicate that the automated rule-based method can produce BPMN diagrams that closely reflect the accuracy of human-created models. This study offers practical benefits such as faster process modeling, improved documentation consistency, and support for business process digitalization in organizations that rely on spreadsheets as their primary source of process information.

Abstract

This study was conducted by applying Black Box testing using the Equivalence Partitioning method to validate the functionality of the PERKASA website, a digital consultation platform in the fisheries sector designed to support fish farmers. The research was carried out in a controlled testing environment with a focus on several main features, namely expert consultation, account login, account registration, articles, and user profile editing. The Equivalence Partitioning method was used to categorize inputs into classes representing valid and invalid conditions. Each test case was executed to determine whether the system produced outputs that matched the expected results. A quantitative approach was applied to compare the actual outcomes with the predefined expected values. Test results showed that out of 54 scenarios, 46 performed as expected, resulting in a functional validation rate of 85,19%. Meanwhile, several other scenarios showed discrepancies in specific input validation. Validation was performed on both client and server sides to ensure data integrity and an optimal user experience. These findings demonstrate that Equivalence Partitioning can serve as a useful method for supporting the development of new websites such as PERKASA, while also contributing to future research on web based information systems.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has encouraged the use of digital platforms as media for sharing opinions, including tourism reviews on Google Maps. Alun-Alun Brebes, as one of the most frequently visited public spaces, has generated thousands of reviews with diverse textual characteristics, making manual analysis inefficient and impractical. This study aims to analyze visitor sentiment toward Alun-Alun Brebes by applying a text mining approach using the Support Vector Machine algorithm. The dataset consists of 1,000 Google Maps reviews, including 327 reviews manually labeled as positive and negative sentiments and 673 unlabeled reviews. The research stages include data collection, text preprocessing, feature extraction using the Term Frequency–Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) method, Support Vector Machine model training and testing, and automatic labeling of unlabeled data. Model performance was evaluated using a confusion matrix with accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score metrics based on the manually labeled data. The results show that the Support Vector Machine model with a linear kernel achieved an accuracy of 100% with an F1-score of 1.00, indicating excellent sentiment classification performance. Furthermore, word cloud visualization reveals that positive sentiment is dominated by aspects related to comfort and facilities, while negative sentiment is associated with cleanliness, crowd density, and environmental management. These findings provide data-driven insights into key aspects that should be maintained and improved in managing Alun-Alun Brebes as a public space.

Abstract

Network security threats continue to evolve along with the increasing complexity and scale of network infrastructures. Therefore, a threat analysis model that can represent attack patterns in a structured and systematic manner is required. This study aims to design a knowledge base for network security threat analysis using a rule-based reasoning approach with a forward chaining inference mechanism. Knowledge is represented in the form of IF–THEN rules, which are constructed based on attack characteristics and mapped to the MITRE ATT&CK framework. The developed knowledge base covers ten major types of threats, including attacks on service availability, unauthorized access, malicious code execution, lateral movement, and reconnaissance activities. Knowledge base validation was conducted through theoretical conformity assessment, logical consistency analysis of the rules, and testing using conceptual test scenarios. The results show that all rules produce accurate and consistent inferences according to the given threat conditions, with no conflicts or ambiguities identified. The findings indicate that the rule-based approach with forward chaining is effective for modeling and analyzing network security threats at a conceptual level. The resulting knowledge base model can serve as a foundation for the development of network security threat analysis or detection systems in future research.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an IoT-based monitoring system for Split AC units to track refrigerant pressure, compressor current load, and room temperature in real-time, enhancing operational efficiency and supporting preventive maintenance. The system is designed using an Arduino Nano as the main processing unit and an ESP8266 module for wireless communication integrated with the Blynk platform. A pressure transmitter measures refrigerant pressure, an ACS712 5A current sensor monitors the compressor load, and a DHT22 sensor records room temperature. Test results show that the pressure sensor has a maximum deviation of less than 0.1 psi compared to a manifold gauge, the ACS712 current sensor shows an average difference of 0.03 A compared to a clamp meter, and the DHT22 temperature sensor has a maximum deviation of 0.4 °C compared to a reference thermometer. All sensor data were consistently displayed on the LCD and Blynk application, confirming reliable data transmission. The system can detect anomalies in pressure and current based on manufacturer-specified thresholds, potentially reducing early failure risks, improving energy efficiency, and extending the lifespan of AC units.

Abstract

Batik Solo has a rich variety of motifs with high philosophical value, but the process of identifying motifs is still largely done manually, making it subjective and prone to error. This study aims to develop an automatic classification system to distinguish four Batik Solo motifs, namely Parang, Kawung, Truntum, and Sekar Jagad, using the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) method based on the VGG16 architecture with a transfer learning approach. The dataset used consists of 280 batik images divided evenly into four classes (70 images per class), where data limitations are overcome using ImageNet pre-trained weights, freezing all convolution layers, and applying data augmentation to reduce the risk of overfitting. The selection of VGG16 was based on the consideration that this study focused on evaluating feature extraction capabilities and analyzing the classification performance of Batik Solo visual patterns in depth, so VGG16 was used as a stable and interpretative baseline model, not for the purposes of computational efficiency or mobile implementation. The training process was carried out for 50 epochs with a data division of 60% training data, 20% validation data, and 20% test data, and the test results showed an accuracy of 85.71% with average precision, recall, and F1-score values of 0.88; 0.86; and 0.86, respectively, where the Sekar Jagad motif performed the best, while the Truntum motif was the most challenging class due to its smooth and repetitive texture characteristics.

Abstract

The Academic Information System of Universitas Islam Negeri Raden Fatah Palembang serves as a key infrastructure supporting academic processes. However, user behavior indicates a low level of information security awareness. Issues such as forgotten passwords, logging in through others’ devices, unawareness of storing sensitive personal data, switching devices due to access spikes, and infrequent password changes increase the risk of cyber threats that may compromise data privacy. This study measures the information security awareness level of active users of the Academic Information System using the Human Aspects of Information Security Questionnaire (HAIS-Q), which comprises three dimensions—Knowledge, Attitude, and Behavior (KAB)—and seven subareas weighted through the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to active students of UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. The findings show that the overall level of information security awareness falls into the “adequate” category, with a score of 72.49%. These results underscore the need for improvement initiatives, including more comprehensive education on information security within the Academic Information System.

Abstract

The development of Information and Communication Technology in the era of Society 5.0 has driven the adoption of educational technologies capable of enhancing learning quality, including in midwifery education. Virtual Reality (VR) offers a potential solution to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical skills in pregnancy examinations among midwifery students, particularly given the limitations of training models and insufficient opportunities for independent practice. This study aims to analyze the design, implementation, and user experience and response in the development of a VR-based immersive laboratory application for standard pregnancy examinations at the Midwifery Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) model, which consists of the stages of concept, design, material collecting, assembly, testing, and distribution. The development results show that the VR application successfully passed black-box testing with 100% functionality. Product validity testing by content and media experts, which was conducted iteratively (MDLC), yielded a Gregory agreement percentage of 1.00, categorized as “Highly Valid.” User experience evaluation was conducted using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) involving 26 respondents. The results indicated an “Excellent” rating across all aspects, with the highest scores recorded in the Stimulation and Novelty dimensions. This finding indicates that the VR application is highly effective in creating an immersive and independent practice environment, thereby successfully bridging the gap between students' theoretical knowledge and practical skills in pregnancy examinations.
