Abstract

This study examines how perceived cultural sustainability explains green customer engagement ineco-friendly hotels by considering green brand love and cultural identity strength. The study addresses the need for a culturally grounded explanation of green hospitality engagement in island destinations where environmental practices intersect with local culture and identity. A quantitative explanatory design was applied to domestic tourists who had experienced eco-friendly hotel services in Bali, West Nusa Tenggara, and East Nusa Tenggara. Using purposive sampling, 300 valid responses were analyzed. The constructs were measured using seven-point Likert scales, and the data were analyzed using a two- stage CB-SEM procedure with AMOS. Confirmatory factor analysis was used to assess the measurement model, while path analysis with mean-centered interaction terms was used to test direct, mediating, and moderating effects. The findings show that perceived cultural sustainability has a significant direct effect on green customer engagement but does not significantly influence green brand love. Green brand love strongly influences green customer engagement, indicating that emotional attachment remains an important driver of engagement. The mediation effect of green brand love is therefore not the main mechanism linking perceived cultural sustainability and green customer engagement. However, cultural identity strength significantly strengthens the relationship between perceived cultural sustainability and green brand love. This study contributes by showing that cultural sustainability shapes engagement more directly, while cultural identity helps transform cultural sustainability cues into brand affection.

Abstract

Work engagement has become a critical issue in the manufacturing sector, particularly among Generation Z employees who tend to prioritize work-life balance, psychological well-being, and supportive work environments. High production targets, shift work systems, and demanding workloads may increase job burnout, thereby reducing employees’ work engagement. This study aims to examine the effect of the quality of work life on work engagement, with job burnout serving as a mediating variable, among Generation Z employees at PT XYZ. A quantitative approach with a survey method was employed. The study involved 100 respondents selected using purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS version 4. The findings reveal that quality of work life has a significant negative effect on job burnout, indicating that a better work environment, balanced workload, and supportive social relationships reduce employees’ burnout levels. Job burnout also has a significant negative effect on work engagement, whereas quality of work life has a significant positive effect. Furthermore, job burnout significantly mediates the relationship between quality of work life and work engagement, suggesting that improvements in employees’ quality of work life enhance work engagement both directly and indirectly by reducing burnout. These findings support the Job Demands–Resources (JD-R) Theory and highlight the importance of developing organizational strategies that improve employees’ quality of work life, thereby reducing burnout and strengthening sus- tainable work engagement among Generation Z employees in the manufacturing sector.

Abstract

Investment plays a crucial role in driving economic growth and reducing the unemployment rate amid the current political turmoil. However, the unemployment rate declined, but the regional economy in West Nusa Tenggara decreased. This study aims to analyze how foreign investment influences the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) and the Unemployment Rate in West Nusa Tenggara. Also, the purpose is to examine how the political index affects the relationship between foreign investment and the Gross Regional Domestic Product and the Unemployment Rate. This paper used 2010-2023 data, with Foreign Investment, trade openness, and interest rate as independent variables, control variables, and a political index as a moderator, while the dependent variables are GRDP and Unemployment Rate. Three models are estimated in this study using Ordinary Least Squares (OLS). The findings are that for- eign investment has no significant effect on GRDP and Unemployment Rate in all models. However, the trade openness has significantly influenced the GRDP (in model 1) and the unemployment rate (in model 2). In addition, the political index cannot significantly weaken or strengthen the relationship between foreign investment and the GRDP, and between foreign investment and the unemployment rate. The implications of this study are that the regional government should prioritize trade and export capabilities over foreign capital to increase GRDP and employment. Also, it is necessary to optimize the business environment while maintaining political stability, which does not automatically guarantee profits from these outcomes.

Abstract

The rapid growth of digitalization in public services, including energy distribution systems, requires an in-depth understanding of the factors influencing user acceptance and loyalty. However, the implementation of the MyPertamina application still faces various user complaints related to system complexity, technical issues, and service inefficiency, indicating gaps between system expectations and the actual user experience. Integrating the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), this study aims to an- alyze the effects of perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness on user loyalty toward the MyPertamina application in the Special Capital Region of Jakarta, with user satisfaction as a mediating variable. This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method. The population consists of MyPer- tamina users, with a sample of 220 respondents selected through non-probability sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS software. The results indicate that perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness have positive and significant effects on user satisfaction and user loyalty. In addition, user satisfaction significantly influences user loyalty and mediates the effects of perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness on user loyalty. The findings provide practical implications for improving digital service quality and enhancing the user experience to strengthen user loyalty.
