Abstract

The use of digital wallets has become increasingly prevalent in various parts of the world, including Indonesia. People’s decisions to adopt digital wallet technology are influenced by several factors. This research aims to investigate the impact of performance expectations, effort expectations, and social influence on the behavioral intention to use digital wallets in Depok City. The method used is a descriptive associative method with a quantitative approach was employed in this study, and purposive sampling was used to select 120 respondents. The results of the study reveal that effort expectation and social influence have a significant positive effect on the behavioral intention to use digital wallets. Effort expectation refers to how easy and user-friendly the technology is perceived to be, while social influence pertains to the degree to which people are influenced by their social circles to adopt the technology. However, the study found that performance expectation, which relates to the perceived usefulness and advantages of digital wallets, did not have a significant impact on behavioral intention. This research contributes to the existing literature on technology adoption by highlighting the importance of user experience factors, such as effort expectation and social influence, in shaping consumers' behavioral intentions to use digital wallets. For practitioners, the findings suggest that efforts to increase the adoption of digital wallets should focus not only on enhancing the perceived usefulness of the technology but also on improving ease of use and leveraging social influence.

Abstract

Government bureaucracy often faces criticism from the public, particularly regarding inefficiency and low work discipline among employees. A frequent complaint is the unproductive use of time, which is often attributed to weak leadership and the failure to enforce applicable regulations. Many believe that the lack of firm decision-making from leaders contributes to poor discipline within government offices. The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of the reward and punishment system on improving employee work discipline. The method employed was a quantitative method with causal approach. Data was collected through a census, including responses from 34 staff members at the Cakranegara and Sandubaya District Offices. The findings indicate that the reward system had a significant positive impact on employee work discipline. In contrast, the punishment system did not show a significant effect on improving discipline. These results suggest that government offices could enhance employee performance and discipline by focusing more on a well-structured reward system. The study highlights the importance of recognition and incentives as a driving force for motivating employees, while punitive measures might not have the desired outcome in fostering better discipline. It is hoped that the study's findings will contribute in encouraging leaders in government institutions to implement more effective reward and punishment systems to improve overall work discipline and organizational efficiency.

Abstract

Banking is a business entity that collects funds from the public in the form of deposits and distributes them to the public in the form of loans and other services to improve the lives of many people. This study aims to analyze the influence of various factors such as capital adequacy, credit risk and bank size on the net interest margin of conventional banks in Indonesia. The method used in this study was associative quantitative, and secondary data in this study was obtained from the annual financial statements of several conventional banks in Indonesia during the period 2018-2022. Data analysis was conducted using panel data regression analysis to test the effect between independent variables consisting of capital adequacy ratio (CAR), non-performing loans (NPL), and bank size (Size) on net interest margin (NIM). The data was processed using E-Views 12. The results of this study indicate that only capital adequacy has a positive and insignificant effect on NIM, while NPL and bank size have a negative and significant effect on NIM. The findings of this study imply that in order to enhance NIM, companies can optimize CAR, thereby attaining optimal profits and minimizing investment risk. The results of this study also contribute as a reference and an overview of the factors that influence NIM in conventional commercial banks before investing.

Abstract

A lecturer is an educator at a university. During their career, lecturers will encounter students with diverse characters. The main duties of a lecturer are teaching, researching, and community service. There are many other administrative duties that a lecturer must carry out. These numerous demands can cause lecturers to experience burnout. Burnout can occur because everyone experiences pressure in their daily activities. Burnout can be reduced by improving an individual’s well-being. Subjective well-being is a state in which individuals perceive and evaluate everything that happens in their lives, namely, cognitive and affective evaluation. Burnout is very likely to affect both men and women. Men are more prone to burnout than women. It is because women experience the same pressures as men, as for men, “working” is an absolute necessity to support their families, whereas for women, this is not the case. Working is not a necessity for women, including in the teaching profession. Therefore, the objective of this study is to analyse whether there is a difference in the effect of subjective well-being on burnout among lecturers at private universities on the island of Lombok, based on gender. The sample consisted of 137 men and 137 women, totaling 174 participants, to represent the phenomenon. The data analysis technique used was Multigroup Analysis (MGA) in PLS-SEM. The study concludes that there is a significant difference between SWB and burnout among male and female lecturers.

Abstract

One of the leading commodities in West Kalimantan is aloe vera. However, the marketing performance of processing aloe vera into food products is still relatively low due to suboptimal marketing strategies. WOM has the potential to improve MSME marketing performance by fostering a positive consumer perception. This study aims to analyze how brand image mediates the relationship between WOM and marketing performance among MSMEs producing processed aloe vera food products in Pon- tianak and Kuburaya. This study uses a quantitative approach, with questionnaires distributed offline. The sample consisted of 115 respondents, and a census method was used. The data were processed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach in Analysis of Moment Structures (AMOS) to determine the influence of the relationships among variables. The results of this study show that WOM has a positive and significant effect on brand image and marketing performance. Still, brand image has no effect and is not significant on marketing performance. Brand image is also unable to mediate the effect of WOM variables on the marketing performance of processed aloe vera food MSMEs in Pontianak and Kuburaya. Therefore, MSMES need to improve communication and interaction to make positive WOM a strategy for expanding market share and boosting marketing performance.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has revolutionized the banking industry, enabling greater convenience, speed, and efficiency in financial transactions. This study aims to analyze the influence of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use on behavioral intention to use the Livin’ by Mandiri appli- cation, employing the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) as the theoretical framework. A quantitative research approach was used through a survey of 100 active Bank Mandiri customers who have used the Livin’ by Mandiri application for at least 1 year. Purposive sampling was used to select respondents, and data were analyzed using multiple linear regression in IBM SPSS Statistics 22. The findings indicate that perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use both have a positive and significant impact on behavioral intention to use. These results confirm that user perceptions of benefits and ease of use are key drivers of digital banking adoption. Accordingly, this study reinforces the relevance of the TAM model in explaining the adoption behavior of digital banking technologies among urban communities in Indonesia, which are increasingly adaptive to digital transformation in the financial sector.
