Abstract

Community interest in the city of Banda Aceh is very low in disposing of waste according to the instructions for the 4 sorting and 2 sorting containers. This research was conducted to analyze the effectiveness and understanding of the community about sorting waste containers in the city of Banda Aceh. This research is a type of field research with mixed methods combining qualitative and quantitative research. The data taken is in the form of primary and secondary data. The sampling technique used in this study was simple random. Based on the results obtained by researchers, the average effectiveness of 4 sorting containers is 22% divided into 6 locations including location I which is 27%, location II 23%, location III 17%, location IV, 21%, location V 19%, and location VI 25% and the percentage of conformity of the marks on the 4 sorting containers, namely 33% organic waste, 25% recyclable waste, 5% reuse waste and 18% other waste. The average effectiveness of 2 sorting containers is 35%, divided into 3 locations namely location I which is 37%, location II 38, location III 31% and the percentage of suitability of markings namely wet waste 48% and dry waste 21%. The community's understanding is still low regarding the instructions on the 4 sorting container (reuse) while the community's understanding regarding the 2 sorting container is quite good. Abstract

This study aimed to describe the feasibility of e-modules based on TPACK (Technological Pedagogical And Content Knowledge) to train the scientific literacy skills of Biology teacher candidates. This article is part of the research and development that has been done, namely developing e-modules based on TPACK, in which undergraduate students in Biology Education, FKIP, PGRI Ronggolawe University, Tuban, are the research subjects. Research and development are carried out using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). At the Development stage, the researcher validated three experts; material, language, and media experts. The instrument used at this stage is a validation sheet which contains several assessment indicators and supporting questions. The validation sheet given to material and media experts has 16 assessment indicators and three supporting questions, validation sheet given to linguists contains ten assessment indicators and three supporting questions. Based on the validation results, it has known that material, language, and media experts each assess 91.25%, 94%, and 93.7% then those were in the very good category. Material experts recommend that the e-module must add a link for enrichment material. Linguists give suggestions so that the sentences used are more communicative. Advice from media experts is to reduce the red color in TPACK-based e-modules. The conclusion obtained from the results of the validator's assessment is that the TPACK-based e-module is appropriate for use to train the scientific literacy skills of Biology teacher candidates.

Abstract

Sintesis dan karakterisasi katalis heterogeny dari limbah cangkang kerrang Ensis sp. telah dilakukan menggunakan metode eksperimen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengubah limbah padat cangkang kerrang Ensis sp. menjadi katalis heterogen yang memiliki nilai manfaat tinggi. Selain itu, penelitian ini merupakan upaya untuk mengurangi limbah padat cangkang kerang Ensis sp. di Kampung Laut. Bahan diberi perlakuan tanpa kalsinasi dan kalsinasi pada suhu 900 ⁰C dan 800 ⁰C. Sampel dikarakterisasi menggunakan Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). Berdasarkan analisis yang digunakan, kalsinasi pada suhu 800 ⁰C (sampel A3) memberikan hasil paling efektir sebagai katalis heterogen. Hasil penelitian ini didukung dengan hasil spektrum FTIR dan difraktogram XRD yang memberikan intensitas terbaik pada sampel A3.

Abstract

This research is an experimental research that aims to determine the effect of implementing integrated reading and writing tasks in problem based learning (PBL) as a strategy to improve scientific literacy skills at SMP Negeri 03 Pana. This research is experimental using a single group pretest – posttest design. The population in this study was a group of class IX students of SMP Negeri 03 Pana while the sample used purposive sampling and the sample in this study were students of class IX SMP Negeri 03 Pana. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. The results showed that, 1) in the pretest category of students' scientific literacy abilities, namely 22 students or 88% were in the very low category, with an average of 54.4. In the posttest scientific literacy category, 23 students or 92% were in the very good category. The T test shows that the value of Tcount = 13.423 > Ttable = 1.71 can also be seen from the level of significance if it is accepted that H0 = sig> 0.05 (5%) or accepted H1 = sig <0.05 (5%), it is known that the significance value is 0.001. Because the sig value is 0.001 < 0.05. Thus it can be concluded that H1 is accepted, then there is a significant influence. Abstract

The objective of this study is to determine the effectiveness of Virtual Reality (VR) based exercises on upper extremity functional ability and cognitive functions in patients with stroke. This research is quasi-experiment using a pre–post test randomized control design. The treatment group I consisted of 8 people who were given conventional exercise, while in the treatment group II there were 8 people who were given VR-based exercises. This research was conducted at the Sri Mulyani Physiotherapy Clinic for 4 weeks from October to November 2022. The instrument for measuring upper extremity functional ability used the Wolf Motor Function Test (WMFT) and the instrument for measuring cognitive function used the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA-INA). The study showed that the upper extremity functional ability using WMFT showed that the results of the treatment group I showed an insignificant increase on upper extremity functional ability (p>0.05 or p=0.0520) and the results of the treatment group II showed an significant increase on upper extremity functional ability (p>0.05 or p=0.0003***). The measurement of cognitive function using the MoCA-INA showed that the results of treatment group I showed a slightly insignificant increase in cognitive function (p> 0.05 or p=0.4439) and treatment group II showed a significant increase in cognitive function (p>0.05 or p=0.0014**). The conclusions of this study indicate that conventional exercises and VR-based exercises can improve both upper extremity functional ability and cognitive function in post-stroke individuals. However, statistically, it appears that VR-based exercises are more effective. Abstract

This research aims to develop and describe student worksheet on the excretory system materials. This research is an R&D (Research and Development) study based on the ADDIE development model, which consist of 5 stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research instruments used were validation sheet question and response quesionnaires. The students worksheet was validated by 3 experts: a subject matter expert, a media expert, and a biology lecturer and it was tested on students.The result showed the students worksheet the percentage of achievements was 90% according material expert, 94% according media expert, and 96% according biolgy lecturer. Meanwhile, the student testis resulted in a score of 83,9% with a very feasible criteria. The conclusion of this research is that student worksheet based liveworksheet on the excretory system are highly suitable for supporting the learning process
