Abstract

This study aims to develop a valid and effective audio tactile learning media to improve the learning achievement of students with visual impairments, especially low vision. The development model used is the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, documentation, and tests. This study uses a quantitative approach as a data analysis technique. The product developed is a set of learning media consisting of audio media and tactile media for mathematics statistics courses. Audio media in the form of power point video containing sound and supported by several tactile media such as colored dice, coins, colored coins, number cards, bridge cards and colored cubes. The results of expert validation tests carried out on the developed instruments are categorized as valid and effective.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan kemampuan literasi mahasiswa PGSD berdasarkan hasil tes. Subjek penelitian adalah 103 mahasiswa PGSD Unirow Tuban angkatan 2017, 2018 dan 2019 yang dipilih secara random. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan April 2021. Subjek penelitian akan menjadi calon guru SD yang nantinya mempersiapkan peserta didik SD menghadapi AKM numerasi dan literasi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dengan instrumen penelitian berupa soal kemampuan literasi. Tes terdiri dari 15 soal yang dikerjakan pada Google Form. Soal pada tes memiliki skor 1, 2 atau 3 disesuaikan dengan tingkat kesulitan soal dan skor maksimal 30. Tes kemampuan literasi berorientasi pada soal-soal IPA. Berdasarkan analisis data diketahui bahwa kemampuan literasi mahasiswa PGSD Unirow Tuban berada pada tingkat dasar. Hal tersebut ditunjukkan oleh tingginya persentase subjek penelitian pada indikator mampu menemukan dan mengambil informasi eksplisit pada teks serta membuat interpretasi sederhana dengan benar, yaitu 87,34%. Pada tingkat cakap dengan indikator membuat interpretasi dari informasi implisit yang ada dalam teks, persentase mahasiswa yang menjawab benar adalah 62,34%. Indikator ketiga yaitu mengintegrasikan beberapa informasi lintas teks, memperoleh persentase jawaban benar sebesar 27,54%. Hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan untuk mengembangkan perangkat dan model pembelajaran sehingga kemampuan literasi mahasiswa PGSD mengalami peningkatan.

Abstract

The objectives of this study were to know the student's response after implementing scientific literacy through problem based learning and its influence on students' scientific literacy ability. This study used the classroom action research formed by Kemmis & Taggart. Implementation problem based learning was conducted to fifth grade SDN Sidorejo 1 Tuban in the academic year 2017/2018. Scientific literacy through problem based learning received good response from students, its above 80% consists of language, graphic, and suitability of technical requirements of teaching materials. The ability of student scientific literacy is enhanced for six indicators, identifying valid scientific opinions, conducting an effective literature, understanding the design elements of the study and how their impact on findings/ conclusions, solving problems using quantitative skills, understanding and interpreting basic statistics, predicting, and conclusing based on quantitative data.

Abstract

Children with special needs require educational services in the form of a different learning process from children in general. One kind of child with special needs is a dyslexic child. In general, dyslexic children experience several learning difficulties, one of which is difficulty reading and writing. This study aims to analyze the use of spelling puzzle media in improving the reading ability of dyslexic children. The subjects in this study were dyslexic grade III students at SDN Tambakboyo II who collected four students. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data was collected through interviews, reading tests and observations. Data is presented in the form of diagrams and then analyzed descriptively. The main problem in this study is whether the spelling puzzle media can help dyslexic children improve reading skills. The results showed that the use of spelling puzzle media can improve reading skills at the beginning reading level. Increased reading ability as a reaction to the increase in memory and motivation of dyslexic children through spelling puzzle pieces. Other findings in this study increased learning activities, motivation and interest in reading dyslexia.

Abstract

Ujian Nasional (UN) akan digantikan oleh Asesmen Nasional (AN) yang terdiri dari Asesmen Kompetensi Minimum (AKM), survei karakter dan survei lingkungan belajar. AKM meliputi asesmen literasi membaca dan asesmen numerasi. Kemampuan numerasi berhubungan dengan kemampuan menyelesaian masalah-masalah science. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan numerasi siswa SMA kelas XI dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan science. Jenis penelitian adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dan dilakukan di MA Darul Ma’wa Plandirejo kecamatan Plumpang kabupaten Tuban. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI yang terdiri dari 21 siswa. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar tes meliputi 3 indikator kemampuan numerasi. Permasalahan science yang digunakan merupakan permasalahan Biologi, Kimia dan Fisika. Teknik pengambilan data dilakukan dengan survei dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan numerasi siswa kelas XI MA Darul Ma’wa Plandirejo kecamatan Plumpang kabupaten Tuban masih rendah. Hal tersebut diketahui dari 61,90% siswa mendapatkan nilai di bawah 50. Persentase jawaban salah untuk 3 indikator adalah 64,76%; 48,57% dan 44,67%. Indikator yang mendapatkan jawaban benar paling sedikit yaitu mampu menggunakan berbagai macam angka atau simbol yang terkait dengan matematika dasar dalam menyelesaikan masalah kehidupan sehari-hari. Semua subjek penelitian memberikan jawaban salah untuk kecepatan gerak benda dan cermin cekung di indikator tersebut. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperlukan penelitian lanjutan untuk mengetahui pembelajaran yang sesuai sehingga kemampuan numerasi siswa mengalami peningkatan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find a Assessment Book based Science Literacy with the specific aim of knowing the validity of it. This research was conducted at the PGRI Ronggolawe University Tuban (UNIROW) for students of PGSD UNIROW class 2019. The research period was started from April to August 2020. The research design used in this study was the Dick and Carey development model. This research design is used because it is more specific in its development. In the early stages of the research, research was carried out, namely the research stage or literature study to obtain information about the product needs to be developed. The development stages consist of seven stages, they were (1) needs analysis, (2) analysis of the form of BuPena BeRiSi, (3) analysis of the material with the skills to be achieved, (4) formulating goals for achieving skills, (5) developing BuPena BeRiSi , (6) BuPena BeRiSi validation, (7) BuPena BeRiSi revision. BuPena BeRiSi products have not been tested extensively because they have been hampered by the Covid-19 pandemic. The validation results show that the assessment of the content and language suitability components gets good criteria. The graphic components and the conformity of the technical requirements obtain excellent criteria. The component that got the highest percentage score was the graphic component with a score percentage of 91.67%. The suitability component of the technical requirements obtained a score of 90.63% with excellent criteria. The content and language suitability components obtained a score of 75% in the good category.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan kelayakan e-modul berbasis TPACK (Technological Pedagogical And Content Knowledge) untuk melatih kemampuan literasi sains calon guru Biologi. Artikel ini merupakan bagian dari penelitian dan pengembangan yang telah dilakukan, yaitu mengembangkan e-modul berbasis TPACK, di mana mahasiswa S-1 Pendidikan Biologi, FKIP, Universitas PGRI Ronggolawe Tuban sebagai subjek penelitian. Penelitian dan pengembangan yang dilakukan menggunakan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Pada tahap Development, peneliti melakukan validasi kepada tiga orang ahli, yaitu ahli materi, bahasa, dan media. Instrumen yang digunakan pada tahap tersebut adalah lembar validasi yang memuat beberapa indikator penilaian dan pertanyaan pendukung. Lembar validasi yang diberikan pada ahli materi dan media memiliki 16 butir indikator penilaian dan 3 pertanyaan pendukung, sedangkan lembar validasi yang diberikan pada ahli bahasa memuat 10 indikator penilaian dan 3 pertanyaan pendukung. Berdasarkan hasil validasi diketahui bahwa ahli materi, bahasa, dan media masing-masing memberikan penilaian 91,25%; 94%; dan 93,7% sehingga penilaian dari ketiga ahli berkategori sangat baik. Ahli materi menyarankan agar e-modul dilengkapi link untuk materi pengayaan. Ahli bahasa memberikan saran agar kalimat-kalimat yang digunakan lebih komunikatif. Saran dari ahli media adalah adanya pengurangan warna merah pada e-modul berbasis TPACK. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh dari hasil penilaian validator adalah e-modul berbasis TPACK layak digunakan untuk melatih kemampuan literasi sains calon guru Biologi.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find a form of literacy and numeracy-based e-module with the specific aim of knowing the validity of literacy-based questions on heat transfer material for elementary school teacher education students. This research was conducted at the University of PGRI Ronggolawe Tuban (UNIROW) Primary School Teacher Education (PGSD) study program. The object of the research is PGSD UNIROW students batch 2021. The time of the research starts from February to May 2022. The research design used in this study is the Dick and Carey development model. This research design is used because it is more specific in its development. In the early stages of research, research is carried out, namely the research stage or literature study to obtain information about the needs of the product to be developed. The stages of development carried out consist of five stages, namely (1) needs analysis, (2) analysis of forms of literacy-based questions, (3) material analysis with the skills to be achieved, (4) formulating skills achievement goals, ( 5) validation of literacy-based questions. The validation results show that the expert assessment of the literacy-based questions developed is in the very good category with a percentage of 92.5%. The results of language validation get good criteria with a percentage of 75%. Based on these results, literacy-based questions deserve to be tested on students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the initial numeracy skills of fifth grade students at Tuban. The research subjects were 32 students in class V SD Negeri Kebonsari I and 35 students in class V SD Negeri Kutorejo III. This research is a quantitative descriptive research based on observation and student scores in working numeracy-based questions. The questions given were 10 questions which included multiple choice, true-false, essay, and matchmaking questions. The readings used in the questions are based on local wisdom in Tuban, so it is hoped that students will find it easier to understand. Based on the test results, it was obtained that the average numeracy score of SD Negeri Kebonsari I students was 51 or in the medium category, and SD Negeri Kutorejo III was 14 or in the low category. These results indicate that the numeracy skills of fifth grade elementary school students in Tuban still need to be improved. Therefore, researchers developed thematic books based on local wisdom to improve the numeracy skills of fifth grade elementary school students.

Abstract

Community service activitiy for the Biology Education study program UNIROW Tuban was carried out at SMA 1 Kragan 1, it was Training on Making Plant Hormones from Organic Materials. Community service activitie Training for Making Plant Hormones Based on Local Wisdom from Organic Materials was carried out at SMA 1 Kragan because they had never made Plant Hormones Based on Local Wisdom from Organic Materials and the raw material for making Plant Hormones Based on Local Wisdom from abundant organic materials, namely Moringa leaves. The timing of the Community Service Implementation in February - March 2021. The community service that was carried out was able to provide several results, including: (1) there was a collaboration between UNIROW and SMA N 1 Kragan. (2) The results of the good responses from the participants based on the results of the questionnaire after the training amounted to 66.67%, the participants were satisfied with the training on making plant hormones based on local wisdom from Moringa leaves because it was in accordance with the expectations of the participants.
