Abstract

The aim of this study was to develop a virtual laboratory TikTok-based. The virtual laboratory was designed for basic chemistry 1 labwork. The developed media was created to increase students' critical thinking and science process skills. The methodology of this research used ADDIE model. The virtual laboratory validations to evaluate the content and media were successfully done by two experts on each validation. Based on the validations, the score results were 93,6% for content and 88,1% for media. It means that the virtual laboratory was successfully created and is ready to be used as a teaching-learning source. The practical and effective tests were done in the chemistry education program grade 1 at A and B class. The data collection was through direct observation, interviews, and questionnaires. Next, the data was analyzed by descriptive statistic method. The research result showed that the Tiktok virtual laboratory was very good, practical, and effective to use in basic chemistry 1 labwork and could increase students' science process and critical thinking skills with an effectiveness percentage of 89,7%.

Abstract

Dengue fever was an endemic disease that transmission from Aedes sp. bites. The spread epidemic disease of dengue fever in an area was caused highest vector dengue virus population, it’s bolstered by water container as canister oviposition of Aedes aegypti at difference position (indoor and outdoor). Water container has been finding at residence area such as bathtub, well, disposal plastic, crockery, etc. This study aims to investigation oviposition process Ae. aegypti populations at Pagutan Sub-district in Mataram City. The research was explanatory in prevention community trial research. Based on data egg collection was known oviposition behavior of the mosquito, it was attracted to dark color water container at the indoor and outdoor position. The difference of color water container and position were the significant difference (p=0.000<0.05), it was found significant difference dark color of water container at an indoor position with bright and white color water container at an indoor position, and significant difference with dark, bright and white color at an outdoor position. Oviposition behavior of dengue vector viruses was developed as biological control of Aedes sp. based on color of water container.

Abstract

Hydro energy systems are broadly used around the world as renewable energy. The concept of hydro energy becomes the major energy alternative for fulfilling the energy demand, especially in the remotes area. The type of micro-hydro power was the most applicable to meet electricity purposes. Micro hydropower system proposes an environment friendly used because of easy to operate and low operation cost, especially in the area which high water availability. This review paper focuses on the potential of hydro energy systems that are built in remote areas. This review revealed three types of hydropower systems, namely mini-hydropower, small hydro power, and micro hydro power. Out of these three types, micro hydro power can become the solution for electrification in remote areas. Micro hydro power installation was built with many types of technological approaches. Nevertheless, considering geographical purposes, the capacity of energy production, and sustainability of resources. Yet, several obstacles should be aware of such as power availability in remote areas. The technical issue and government support become the key to success in applying hydropower in the site of installation. Otherwise, conventional fossil fuel-based systems which are costly and unsustainable may require due to the operating system of micro-hydro power as well

Abstract

The Development of Islamic Integrated Learning Website-Based Media for Junior High School Physics Olympiad Material aims to determine the feasibility of the website-based learning media for junior high school physics Olympiad material integrated with Islam. The learning media is developed based on the stages in this research, adopting modifications from Borg & Gall. The data collection instrument used in this research and development is a questionnaire. The results of the development of the junior high school physics Olympiad material website integrated with Islam meet the validity criteria. The average total score of the website media expert is 89.2, the material expert's website validation is 86.15, and the integration of Islamic website validation is 81.82. Considering the overall aspects of validation and meeting the feasibility criteria, it is declared in the "valid/appropriate" category.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the potential of methanolic extract from aged areca nut as an antidepressant using acute and sub-chronic Forced Swim Test (FST) methods. In the acute FST, mice were injected with methanolic extract doses of 10, 50, and 100 mg/kg intraperitoneally as a single dose to determine the dose with the best activity. Meanwhile, in the sub-chronic FST, the best dose was administered for 7 consecutive days, and a re-test was conducted on the seventh day after acute FST. A significant reduction in immobility time after acute treatment was only observed with a dose of 100 mg/kg. Therefore, mice were injected with this dose for the next 7 days. However, this dose did not significantly decrease immobility time based on the results of sub-chronic FST. Thus, the methanolic extract at a dose of 100 mg/kg was considered not potentially effective for continuous use. Phenolic compounds, steroids, and saponins as the main constituents in the extract did not induce toxic effects after treatment for 7 days.
