Abstract

Traditional medicine is currently being abandoned by the community because its use is considered impractical and when it is taken in the form of medicine it tastes bad. Traditional medicine usually uses medicinal plants obtained from the surrounding environment. The community grows plants that are useful for daily life near the house, such as in the yard. Traditional medicine is one of the fastest ways to obtain the latest medicinal sources from plants that have been used by the community for generations. For this reason, research on ethnomedicine needs to be carried out. The people in Pujon District still practice traditional medicine to cure several diseases. A total of 47 species of plants in the garden are used as medicinal plants

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengembangkan produk LKPD konstruktivisme dengan bantuan flipcreator pada topik sistem pernapasan yang memenuhi syarat kevalidan. Metodologi penelitian yang dipakai mengacu pada model R&D yaitu ADDIE: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Perangkat penilaian yang digunakan  adalah  instrumen penilaian kevalidan LKPD konstruktivisme dengan bantuan flipcreator. Dari hasil analisis data, nilai rata-rata kevalidan yang diperoleh dari hasil penilaian validator terhadap LKPD konstruktivisme dengan bantuan flipcreator yaitu 4,21 yang termasuk dalam kategori valid. Hasil tersebut mengungkapkan bahwa konten, figurasi, media serta bahasa yang digunakan pada LKPD konstruktivisme dengan bantuan flipcreator yang telah dikembangkan efektif untuk dimanfaatkan pada kegiatan pembelajaran dan sebagai media untuk mendukung proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Gouty Arthritis is a disease caused by the accumulation of monosodium urate in the joints due to hyperuricemia, which causes painful inflammation. Syzgium polyanthum (Wight) Walp is a plant that grows in Indonesia and has been used as a traditional medicine.  It is used to treat various diseases, especially excessive production of uric acid. It is thought to contain phloretin compounds which can reduce the amount of uric acid. The purpose of this study was observed the biological activity of the natural products phloretin as an antihyperuricemia. Bioinformatic applications used in this study include the Pubchem compound database, protein target data base (Pharmmapper and Swiss Target Prediction), molecular docking software PyRx 0.8, software for 3D visualization and analysis of docking ligands and binding sites PyMOL and BIOVIA Disvovery Studo Client 2016.  The results of docking and binding site analysis showed that phloretin was able to interact with cyclin dependent kinase 2 (target protein) with a binding affinity of -6 kcal/mol more negatively than allopurinol with a binding affinity of -5.7, at different binding sites. Phloretin is a potential compound that can be used in the treatment of gouthy arthritis as an anti-inflammatory by inhibiting CDK2 activity.

Abstract

Nature has enormous potential to aid in the study of biology. This potential can be effectively harnessed when presented in teaching materials, such as modules. This research aimed to produce valid learning modules based on the local potential found in Enrekang Regency, which can facilitate contextual and meaningful biology learning. The research method employed was Research and Development (R&D), utilizing the ADDIE development model. Data was collected using an expert validation sheet to assess the module's validity in terms of content, language, presentation, and appearance. The Plantae module, as a product of this development, is based on the local potential and exhibits characteristics such as being self-instructional, self-contained, stand-alone, adaptable, user-friendly, and including pictures of local plants from Enrekang Regency. Based on data analysis, the developed module fulfills the validity criteria in all aspects of the assessment, with an average validity score of 4.1. Consequently, the research concludes that the developed module is valid and can effectively support biology learning by incorporating the local potential of Enrekang Regency.

Abstract

Higher education must adapt its educational practices to ICT, which is now developed rapidly. There are many different approaches, and constructivism-based e-module development is an alternative. This research used the R&D method by adapting the ADDIE development model, which aimed to produce constructivism-based e-module products that meet the criteria of being valid, effective, and practical for use in the learning process. The e-module developed was validated using an expert validation questionnaire filled out by two expert validators, with a result of 4.32, which was included in the valid category. The effectiveness of the e-module was obtained by 100% of students achieving learning completeness scores and increasing learning outcomes based on a normalized gain analysis of 0.71 (high category). The results of the e-module practicality test showed positive student responses, where 86.67% of statements were included in the very strong category and 13.33% in the strong category. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the constructivism-based general biology learning e-module developed is valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

The aim of this Community Service Program (PkM) is to provide job interview training according to human resource department (HRD) standards. The target of this training activity is job applicants who are members of the telegram group. This community service activity uses direct exposure/presentation methods, interview simulation practices, and questions and answers. The background to this training activity is an analysis of community needs by conducting initial observations and interviews via a telegram group. Based on the results of observations and interviews, it was found that there were still many job applicants who failed the job interview test stage. This is due to a lack of experience in interview tests and a lack of knowledge about interview material and assessments. There is also a lack of knowledge about the importance of personal branding. Therefore, training is needed, especially on creating curriculum vitae and LinkedIn for personal branding, interview tips, and tricks, followed by a job interview simulation by 4 (four) participants. The stages of this community service activity are analyzing community needs through observation and interviews, selecting topics for service activities, determining technical activities and creating training materials, presenting training materials, and finally the evaluation stage. Based on the activities that have been carried out, the results obtained show that participants' interview and communication skills have increased in facing job interview tests.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service is to enhance the competency of teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Eris in creating digitalized teaching materials. The community service implementation consists of three stages: preparation, training, and evaluation. The evaluation of the activities uses a questionnaire that is analyzed descriptively and quantitatively. The results of this service indicated an improvement in the competencies of SMA Negeri 1 Eris teachers in creating digitalized teaching materials using Google Workspace for Education, Canva, Mentimeter, and Quizizz. The implementation of the activities received positive feedback from participants, as evidenced by their enthusiasm and active participation throughout the program. The evaluation results of the activities show that the level of satisfaction and improvement in teacher competencies after the training is in the very good category. Teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Eris are very interested in developing digitalized teaching materials.

Abstract

Abstrak Mangrove adalah tanaman khas daerah tropis yang dapat ditemukan baik di darat maupun di lautan. Mangrove berperan besar dalam menjaga keseimbangan ekosistem pantai dan pesisir. Upaya konservasi diperlukan karena ekosistem mangrove di berbagai tempat yang terdapat di Pantai Pangalisang Pulau Bunaken akhir-akhir ini mengalami kerusakan dan pertumbuhan yang tidak baik. Tujuan dari proyek pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, pemahaman, dan kesadaran mahasiswa akan nilai pengembangan dan pengelolaan kawasan mangrove secara berkelanjutan. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah persiapan, sosialisasi, dan penanaman mangrove. Pelaksanaan pengabdian ini melibatkan 6 dosen Unima beserta 65 mahasiswa yang tergabung dalam organisasi HMJ Biologi FMIPAK Unima dan IKAHIMBI Wilayah Kerja VIII. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa merasakan manfaat dari pengembangan pola pikir peduli lingkungan pantai dan pesisir melalui penanaman mangrove secara langsung. Di samping itu,mereka menjadi sadar akan pentingnya lingkungan mangrove bagi kelangsungan hidup manusia serta berbagai jenis tumbuhan dan satwa. Kata kunci: konservasi; penanaman mangrove; peduli lingkungan Abstract Mangroves are plants typical of tropical regions that can be found both on land and in the ocean. Mangroves play a big role in maintaining the balance of coastal ecosystems. Conservation efforts are needed because the mangrove ecosystem in various places on Pangalisang Beach on Bunaken Island has recently experienced damage and poor growth. The aim of this service project is to increase students' knowledge, understanding, and awareness of the value of sustainable development and management of mangrove areas. The methods used in this activity are preparation, outreach, and planting mangroves. The implementation of this service involved six Unima lecturers and 65 students who were members of the HMJ Biology FMIPAK Unima organization and IKAHIMBI Work Area VIII. The results of this service activity show that students feel the benefits of developing a mindset of caring for the coastal and coastal environment through direct mangrove planting. In addition, they become aware of the importance of the mangrove environment for human survival as well as various types of plants and animals. Keywords: conservation; planting mangroves; caring for the environment

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi pengalaman siswa dalam menggunakan kecerdasan buatan (AI) untuk menulis dan menyelesaikan tugas rumah, persepsi mereka terhadap dampak AI dalam tugas akademik, serta sikap siswa terhadap kebijakan sekolah terkait teknologi ini. Dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, data dikumpulkan melalui survei menggunakan angket dari 72 siswa yang dipilih secara acak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 88,9% siswa telah menggunakan alat AI seperti ChatGPT, Gemini, dan Canva dalam menyelesaikan tugas mereka, dengan ChatGPT sebagai yang paling populer (94,4%), diikuti oleh Gemini (70,8%) dan Canva (51,4%). Sebagian besar siswa merasa AI membantu mereka dalam menyusun esai dan menyelesaikan tugas rumah, tetapi terdapat variasi signifikan dalam tingkat kepuasan mereka terhadap jawaban AI. Sekitar 63,9% siswa menyatakan jawaban AI kadang-kadang memuaskan, sementara 26,4% siswa merasa bahwa jawaban AI sering memuaskan. Hanya 2,8% siswa yang merasa selalu puas, sementara 6,9% lainnya menyatakan jarang puas. Hasil ini mengindikasikan bahwa meskipun AI dapat membantu dalam konteks akademik, ada keterbatasan dalam akurasi dan relevansi jawaban yang diberikan, yang berpotensi tidak sepenuhnya memenuhi ekspektasi siswa dalam konteks pendidikan. Selain itu, persepsi siswa terhadap kebijakan sekolah terkait penggunaan AI menunjukkan adanya kebutuhan untuk regulasi yang jelas dan berimbang, sehingga teknologi AI dapat dimanfaatkan secara efektif tanpa mengorbankan integritas akademik. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi baru dengan menawarkan pemahaman spesifik mengenai cara siswa menggunakan AI dalam tugas akademik sehari-hari serta persepsi mereka terhadap kebijakan terkait. Penelitian ini juga menekankan pentingnya literasi AI di kalangan siswa dan mengusulkan agar institusi pendidikan merumuskan kebijakan yang tidak hanya membatasi, tetapi juga mendidik siswa tentang penggunaan AI yang bertanggung jawab dan etis, mendukung pembelajaran berkelanjutan dalam era digital.
