Abstract

Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across the globe have been the major victims of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has plunged the business world into a serious crisis. However, Employee Engagement (EE) has been labeled as an essential nutrient that organizations need in order to survive in these turbulent times. This study was to examine the effect of EE on Employee Performance during the COVID-19 pandemic and how this relationship is moderated by job demands. The study used a sample size of 395 respondents who were chosen from a variety of MSMEs via a convenience sampling method. The study used a survey questionnaire approach as the main method for collecting primary data. The result of the correlation analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between EE and employee performance. It was revealed that job resources moderated the relationship between EE and employee performance. Finally, the result showed that job resources had a significant effect on EE. Thus, it can be concluded that, in the face of COVID-19, EE is a significant predictor of the performance of employees in the MSMEs sector.

Abstract

The use of voting rights in a general election is the subjective right of citizens (people) who have qualified to vote, but from the aspect of the interests of the state and nation, it can be considered that the use of voting rights / voting rights of citizens in general elections, in essence is a form of responsibility to participate in the administration of government. However, at the current level of reality there is a tendency for people to experience "frustration" and "political lethargy" to exercise their sovereignty through the mechanism of elections. This fact is due to the fact that people feel that their aspirations cannot be accommodated after the general election and presidential election. In addition, there is the influence of pressure groups (especially groups that want the disintegration of the nation and the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia) so that people better abstain and become "white groups". Therefore, a directed and effective government legal policy is needed to increase legal awareness of citizens participating in exercising their active voting rights in general elections and presidential elections.

Abstract

The study examines the role of historical bias and the ways in which it can be addressed to achieve a more accurate representation of the past. The study aims to identify the factors that contribute to historical bias, the impact it has on our understanding of history, and the strategies that can be employed to overcome it. The study employs a mixed-methods approach that includes a comprehensive review of relevant literature, interviews with scholars and historians, and analysis of historical narratives. The study finds that historical bias is perpetuated by a variety of factors, including political and cultural agendas, the limitations of available evidence, and the perspectives and biases of historians themselves. The study also identifies several strategies that can be used to address historical bias, including the adoption of a more diverse and inclusive approach to historical research, the incorporation of multiple perspectives and sources, and the acknowledgement of historical injustices and their impact on marginalized groups. The study concludes that a commitment to redressing historical bias is necessary to achieve a more accurate and inclusive representation of the past, which can in turn contribute to a more just and equitable society.
