PELITA MASYARAKAT, is a forum for disseminating conceptual thoughts or ideas and research results that have been achieved in the field of community services. Pelita Masyarakat Journal has a goal for scientific publication of the results or conceptual servants of the ideas and ideas in the field of community service. PELITA MASYARAKAT is published in one volume, twice a year, September and March . Every writer who has an article can send the manuscript by following the writing guidelines. Authors who want to submit their article manuscripts can be done online. Each article addressed to the editorial will be selected through the Desk Review and Initial Manuscript Evaluation process by the Editorial Board. Next, the article will be sent to the Bestari Partner / peer reviewer and will be entered into the next selection by the Blind Peer-Review Process. Sauce is a complementary food, this food is usually coupled with fried foods, soupy foods and can also be used as a seasoning. Sauce made from tomatoes (if tomato sauce) is blended until smooth and cooked while adding spices to make it taste savory. The sauce's delicacy depends on the freshness of the fruit used, the right spice composition and the correct manufacturing procedure. Sauce in the market often does not include the composition of ingredients and food additives (BTM) such as food preservatives used not to mention we do not know the freshness of fruit and BTM doses added and the manufacturing procedures that are not necessarily clean and do not attach permits granted from the government . Fruits that are not fresh (rotten), doses of food additives (preservatives) added can cause various diseases in the body. Through this community service activity, it is expected that students can make their own tomato sauce by using fresh tomatoes, spices with the right amount and not using preservatives that are harmful to health. By making your own tomato sauce, besides being guaranteed cleanliness and health for your body, you can also save on spending money and be able to become skills for students to become entrepreneurs by producing home-made tomato sauce. In this community service activity there were 2 sessions conducted, the first was counseling about the danger of preservatives in food. The second session, the practice of making tomato sauce using fresh tomatoes, the right dosage of seasoning without using preservatives

Rice husk waste has been thrown away and burned without any use, it has the potential to cause environmental pollution. This rice husk can actually be used, for manufacture of briquettes, but the lack of knowledge and skills of the people about processing rice husk waste into briquettes. The process of making briquettes does not require high technology and low cost. The training in manufacturing of charcoal briquettes is very useful which aims to make people in the area able to utilize rice husk waste to become a product of sustainable technology, namely charcoal briquettes which can be used as an alternative fuel instead of BBM, and also minimize the occurrence of environmental pollution. These activities include (1) socializing the using of rice husk into charcoal briquettes; (2) training to manufacture of chimneys to burn rice husk; (3) processing of rice husk into charcoal; (4) manufacturing charcoal briquettes; (5) applying the use of briquettes as fuel. These socialization and training activities have been successfully carried out in accordance with the planned activities that have been prepared, and received good reception from the local villagers seen from their presence and involvement in activities, and succeeded in providing special skills for local residents, especially farmers who were directly involved in making briquettes.

This article aims to increase partners' knowledge and skills in utilizing songket woven fabric. Reject coal, make online management and marketing systems effective. The method of activities is carried out in the form of assistance through counseling and training stages with lecture methods, question and answer, demonstrations which include preparation, implementation and evaluation. To determine the level of success of activities carried out monitoring and evaluation can be seen during preparation, process and end of the activity. The first meeting included preparation and planning, during the implementation phase counseling included knowledge of using reject woven fabrics. Training on making tissue boxes, bags, wallets and tablecloths, business management and assisting partners in training to market products online. The results of the activities of Partners 1 and 2 already have the knowledge and skills to make various bags, wallets and tablecloths. compile simple business management and make cash books and partners already have a website and utilize online media as a means of marketing products. Products are arranged in the Coal Workshop Cluster and Creative House. Various souvenir products have been exhibited at various national exhibition events. The impact of the activities of weavers was able to increase the economy and reduce unemployment in the Coal District. This can be seen from several residents who have joined the business.

The elderly Posyandu is a form of health service from the community of Lama Village, Pancur Batu District, in providing basic services specifically for the elderly, their rights in health services can be fulfilled. Population aged 60 years and over as many as 120 people, the average elderly are looking for physical care and better. The purpose of this service is to provide information on the use of infrared light for cadres, elderly families and the elderly. In this service the method used is to do counseling, training in the use of infrared for the age, cadres and families who take part in community service. The health level of the elderly is increasing, cadres and elderly families understand how to use infra red. Provision of infrared light has a very significant impact in improving health status in Lama Village, Pancur Batu District.

In this case it is necessary to do training for Vocational students who are actively studying especially for Computer Network Engineering (CNE) majors to improve students' abilities in network installation. Because there are still many students who do not understand about networks. So that this training is very necessary, and the preparation of female students is even more mature in facing the competency exam in the future.

Community demands on the quality of education services from time to time are increasingly high. Along with the development of increasingly rapid science and technology, educational institutions in various levels and levels of education can no longer stand by to preserve the cultural and performance capabilities of a school, but must strive to innovate changes in various aspects so that they are not left behind by people who live in in the era of globalization. Computer-based Information Technology is one medium that is quite effective in managing school academic information systems. The use of e-learning in schools as learning media can open up broad insights for students how to communicate in teaching and learning activities using computers. With the construction of e-learning systems as edmodo-based learning media can improve the quality of students in using computers. In addition, it is expected to facilitate students in taking a computer-based national examination.

The teachers of SMP Swasta Assyuhada Medan have difficulty in applying practicum and application to local electronic content subjects that can be assessed as innovative work and development for students. This situation is caused by teachers who still lack direct funds when buying or facilitating equipment used. The purpose of this activity is that the trainning of SMP Swasta Assyuhada Medan in carrying out their duties have the capability of learning media simulation techniques as innovative works so as to increase professionalism on an ongoing basis. The method used is in the form of training robotics learning modules using simulations from Visual Basic. This community service activity is expected to succeed so that at the end of the activity all the training participants have the knowledge and skills about giving lab work to students so that the children can get more creative ideas

This service aims at this service is Building a pattern of Democratic Care and Building the values of Religion. It should be understood that the family is two or more individuals who live in one household because of the relationship of blood, marriage and interacting with one another, having their respective roles by creating and maintaining a culture. The environment that is first encountered by children is the family environment. In the family of course there are religious values born from generation to generation and carried by the family. Whereas religious experience is an element of feeling in religious consciousness, namely the feeling that leads to beliefs generated by actions or amaliyah. Suka Julu Village Hamlet III Jumpa is one of the villages located in Karo land with diverse religious communities although it is dominated by Karo tribes in the area around Berastagi city. In customs, girls are not allowed to talk with their father. In addition, there is still a lack of planting of religious values. There are still those who do not have strong religious beliefs, so that on Christmas day, there are still Muslims who follow Christian activities and vice versa. This is certainly confusing for children. So that it will give birth to children who lack confidence. Personality dynamics actively influence human activities. Spiritual energy functions to regulate spiritual activities such as thinking, remembering, observing and so on. The instinct function regulates primary needs: eating, drinking and sexual. The ego has the function of adjusting impulse adjustment with objective reality. While Super Ego functions as a giver of inner rewards (satisfied, happy, successful) and punishment (guilt, sin, regret). The reward is played by the ideal ego, and inner punishment is carried out by the conscience. This activity was carried out to foster democratic upbringing and religious values in families in various religious environments in a tribe.
