Abstract

This research is for indentified and evaluate element internal and ekstenal escalation produktivitas of farmer is field  with the group of farmer in melati village ll. in this research, data analysis technique is using swot analysis withquantitative approach. the results of study shows that internally influence factors are legal entities, has aducation activity to farmers, group of farmer, has activity to farmer in order that can switch knowledge with other farmers from others village, keepingbook transfers regarding savings and loans, with the release of group farmer members there will be a reduction in the area of land for lowland rice production and the organizational structure is not working properly is a factor influencing the increase in productivity of lowland rice farmers on the role of farmer groups. Externally, the factor of influencing farmer are able to be used by tractor facilites and harvesting equipment, subsidized input facilities available to farmer groups, there are savings and loans for members of farmer groups, farmers consider organizational farmer groups to be unimportant, prices set for agricultural assistance tools are the same as tools conventional, and subsidized input facilities are not in accordance with the needs of farmers. Under these conditions, in general, the strategy for increasing the productivity of lowland rice farmers for the role of farmer groups in Melati II Village is that farmer groups have enormous strengths and opportunities to increase the productivity of lowland rice farmers for the role of farmer groups.

Abstract

Cooking oil is one of the staple food consumed by all layers of society in Indonesia. At this time the cooking oil is sold in two forms, namely in bulk and packaged with certain brands/labels. Although branded cooking oil have many advantages and increasingly popular in the market city of Medan, but the demand  for cooking oil bulk is still higher compared to the branded cooking oil. The aim of the research was to analyse factors that affected consume bulk cooking oil demand in Deli Serdang district. This research is performed in traditional market in lubuk pakam. Sampling method technique is performed with aksidental (accidental sampling) that specifies the sample based on people who are found by chance or anyone who meets the criteria. the method sampling of this research use accedental sampling with 60 samples bulk cooking oil consumens. Variables of this research are the price of bulk cooking oil,income, family members and people’s taste.  Results of this is factors that affected the consume of Bulk cooking oil is the price of bulk cooking oil,otherwise Income , family members and taste do not affected in this research.

Abstract

This research was to analyze and identify the problem of decreasing quality of rice production (Ramos Variety) in Sitoluama Village, Laguboti District, Toba Regency. Fishbone analysis is used to categorize various potential causes of a problem or subject matter in an easy to understand and neat way. The results showed that the problem faced by rice farmers in Sitoluama Village, Laguboti District was a decrease in the quality of rice production (Ramos Variety). The causal factors that affect the quality of rice production in Sitoluama Village, Laguboti District, Toba Regency, namely: Farmer Factors, Cultivation Technique Factors, Material Factors, Machinery Factors/Agricultural Equipment, Environmental Factors, Management Factors. The most appropriate solution to the problems experienced by rice farmers in Sitoluama Village, Laguboti District, Toba Regency in improving the quality of rice includes, Man Factor: Collaborating with the village government to bring in extension workers and conducting education training programs, Machine factor: Encouraging farmers to form agricultural cooperatives to collectively purchase agricultural equipment, Mother Nature factor: Farmers can consider proper planting scheduling to avoid the most intense rainy season, Management: Developing and implementing an integrated agricultural information system can help improve planning and monitoring efficiency

Abstract

This study aims to determine what are the analysis of the factors that influence the income of laying duck farmers. The Purpose of this Research: (1) To find out what factors influence the income of laying ducks. (2) To find out how much the income of laying duck farmers. This research was conducted in September 2019 until November 2019. The sampling method was saturated or saturated, in this study the sample used was 32 laying duck breeders. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression with SPSS 21 tools. Results of this study: (1) the results of the study that the Fcount value is 399,130 and the significance value is 0,000 less than 0.05 or Fcount 399,130 greater than Ftable 2,73. For the t test, venture capital partially has significant effect on the income of laying ducks, the business experience partially has a significant effect on the income of laying ducks, the number of livestock partially has a significant effect on the income of laying ducks, cattle fairs partially has a significant effect on the income of laying ducks, . (2) total cost of receiving is Rp. 391.550.000 with an average of 12.235.937, the total production cost is Rp.300.432.500 with an average of 9.388.515, and the total cost of income is Rp.319.380.000 with an average of 9.980.625.

Abstract

Corn is one of stupple food to support economic growth in North Sumatera. The purpose of this research was to obtain data on the ability of compost derived from coffee husks and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi in the growth and production of sweet corn plants (Zea mays sccharata Sturt). The method used in this study is a randomized block design (RDB) in factorial, with 2 (two) treatment factors, namely: 1) Factor coffee skin and  2) arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (M), each treatment was repeated two (2) times so that there are 40 experimental plots. The parameters observed are plant height, number of leaves, cob length, sample crop production per plot, crop production per plot, top wet weight, bottom wet weight, percentage of pest attack, colonization of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi, effectiveness of treatment application to all parameters. The results obtained from this study were: 1) The giving of coffee skin compost did not significantly affect the parameters of plant height, number of leaves, cob length, sample plant production per plot, crop production per plot, top wet weight and bottom wet weight; 2) The allocation of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi has no significant effect on the parameters of observing plant height, number of leaves, cob length, sample plant production per plot, crop production per plot, top wet weight and bottom wet weight; 3) The combination of coffee husks compost and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi did not significantly affect the parameters of plant height, number of leaves, length of cob, sample crop production per plot, crop production per plot, top wet weight and bottom wet weight.

Abstract

Sweet corn (Zea mays saccaharata Strut L.) is one of the most staple food crops and has been demanded for decadest. Sweet corn has a great opportunity to be developed because it can be one of the main sources of carbohydrates and protein. One of the causes of the low production of sweet corn is the decrease in soil productivity due to nutrient leaching by rainwater, improper soil management, and soil fertility. This research was conducted by purponing a Split Plot Design of 2 treatment factors, namely; (1) Soil tillage factor (P) consists of 2 levels, (P1 = Minimum Soil Tillage and P2 = Intensive Soil Processing), (2) Organic Mulch (M) consists of 6 levels, M0 = No Mulch, M1 = Plastic Mulch, M2= Rice Straw Mulch, M3= Cocopeat Mulch, M4= Sawdust, M5 = Rice Husk Mulch. The results of this study indicated that the M2 treatment of rice straw mulch has a tendency to increase soil fertility and has significant effect on plant vegetative growth as production. Tillage was no significantly affect soil fertility and plant vegetative growth as production of sweet corn.

Abstract

Research aims To determine the effectiveness of skin extract jengkol (Pithecellobium jiringa) effective as biofungisida against the disease-causing Fusarium wilt (Fusarium oxyospurum), Antraknosa (Colletotrichum capsici) and patches leaf (Cercospora capsici) on a red pepper plant (Capsicum annuum L.),This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Plant Protection, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Medan Area, Biopharmaceutical Laboratories Faculty of Pharmacy, University of North Sumatra, from March to May 2019. This research used non factorial completely randomized design with three replications. Factors treatment of skin extract concentration jengkol ie negative control (no treatment); positive control (synthetic fungicides 0.2%); and successive concentration is 10%; 20%; 30%; 40%; 50%; 60%; 70%; 80%; 90%; and 100%. The results showed that administrationjengkol skin extract effective for controlling fungal pathogens (Colletotrichum capsici, Fusarium oxysporum and Cercospora capsici) that cause disease in plants red chili.Jengkol bark extract at a concentration of 90% obtained the highest percentage inhibition Fusarum oxysporum as big as 78.43% Highly significant with bark extract treatment jengkol 10% and a negative control (no treatment), at a concentration of 20% jengkol skin extract obtained the highest percentage inhibition of Colletotrichum capsici 82.49% Highly significant with bark extract treatment jengkol 10%, negative control (no treatment) and at a concentration of 50% jengkol skin extract obtained the highest percentage inhibition Cercospora capsici as big as 83.43% Highly significant with bark extract treatment jengkol 10%, 20% jengkol bark extract, bark extract jengkol 30% and analytical results.

Abstract

The Response Of Liquid Waste Utilization Of Palm Oil On Growth And Production Plant Of Kailan (Brassica Oleraceae L.). Under the guidance of  Ir. Gusmeizal, MP as the commission chairman of counselor and Ir. Ellen L. Panggabean, MP as the commission member of counselor.  This research was conducted at the experimental garden of Agriculture Faculty University of Medan Area, located on Jl. PBSI Medan Estate. This research was conducted began in April 2016 until June 2016. The purpose of this research was to determine the response of liquid waste utilization of palm oil on growth and production plant of kailan. This research was conducted by using Randomized Block Design (RBD) non factorial which consists of 4 levels of treatment are: L0 = Control (NPK 20 g/plot),  L1 = 1 l/plot,  L2 = 2 l/plot,  L3 = 3 l/plot. Parameters observed were height of plants, leaf number, stem diameter, fresh weight of harvest by plot, fresh weight of harvest by sample, fresh weight of sell by plot, fresh weight of sell by sample. The results of research showed that utilization of liquid waste of palm oil did not show significantly different results in all parameters of observation, but the liquid fertilizer from palm oil waste is able to compensate for the growth and production plant of kailan (Brassica oleracea L.) that fertilized with NPK.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to know any socio economic factors that affect investment (education costs) of the children of implementing employees at PTPN III Kebun Hulu, Nagori Village, Banjar Hulu, Ujung Padang District, Simalungun Regency. The sampling method is done by Purposive method. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression test with SPSS 18 tools. Socio-economic factors that affect investment (education costs) simultaneously are age, number of children, funds and education on investment (education costs) at PT Perkebunan Nusantara III Kebun Dusun Hulu. This can be seen from the t test, where t-test 2.333 t-table 2.045 at α = 5%. By parsial age variable not have an effect on to invesment ( expense of education) can be seen test of  t, where t-hitung (-1,047) t-tabel (2,045), by parsial variable of amount of  child  not have an effect on to invesment (expense of education) where t-hitung (-1,568)   t-tabel  (2,045), by parsial earnings of executor employees not have an effect on to invesment (expense of education) where t-hitung (0,180) t-tabel (2,045), by parsial education variable not have an effect on to invesment (expense of education), where t-hitung (0,910) t-tabel (2,045).

Abstract

This research was conducted using a factorial randomized block design (RBD) method, which consists of two treatment factors, namely: 1) Aspirin administration factor with growth inhibitors with a notation (A) consists of 4 levels of treatment, namely: A0 = Control (without administration) Aspirin); A1 = administration of Aspirin at a dose of 1.25 g / l of water; A2 = Giving Aspirin at a dose of 2.50 g / l water, 2) Factors for giving cabbage waste compost with a notation (K), consisting of 3 levels of treatment, namely: K0 = Control (without giving cabbage waste compost); K1 = Giving cabbage waste compost at a dose of 10 tons / ha; K2 = Giving cabbage waste compost at a dose of 20 tons / ha, each treatment was repeated 3 (three) times. The parameters observed in this study were plant height, number of leaves, leaf color, stem diameter, number of tubers and production weight. As for the results obtained from this study, namely: 1) Giving Aspirin has a very significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, number of tubers and weight of production, but no significant effect on leaf color and stem diameter; 2) Giving cabbage waste compost has a very significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, number of tubers and weight of production, but no significant effect on leaf color and stem diameter; and 3) The combination of aspirin and cabbage waste compost has a very significant effect on the number of tubers and production weight, but has no significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, leaf color and stem diameter.
