Abstract

Employees are one of the crucial factors in a company. Companies must be able to pay attention to the physical and mental needs of their employees to achieve good performance. The work environment and work-life balance are factors that affect employee performance and job satisfaction. This study aims to examine the influence of the work environment and work-life balance on job satisfaction, work stress as an intervening variable. In this study, the sample used was PT Telen employees. The number of samples taken was 100 respondents of PT Telen employees specifically in the operational field. The data for this study were obtained using an online survey questionnaire via google form with a measurement scale using a 5-point Likert scale. This research is a descriptive study using quantitative methods. The analysis tool used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), with data analysis techniques using the Smart-PLS version 3.0 application. The results of the study indicate that the work environment and work-life balance have a good relationship with a significant negative effect on work stress, but the work environment and work-life balance have a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. While work stress has a negative and significant relationship with job satisfaction, and work stress can mediate the influence of the work environment on job satisfaction.

Abstract

The amount of data that is growing rapidly today also requires fast storage. This is because the need for data is also very important, and to access the data also requires fast time. Therefore, it is necessary to know the tools that support the processing of large amounts of data and fast time. The presence of Impala and Hive-Hadoop helps in making decisions about which tools to use to store data and quickly get the data needed. In this analysis and comparison, we want to know how the performance of these two tools is, namely whether Impala and Hive-Hadoop can access structured data. This research was conducted using experimental methods and manipulating the experimental environment using computer virtualization. The analysis results obtained are, Impala is faster than Hive-Hadoop because it reduces latency and Impala is not based on the MapReduce algorithm.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of digital technology in communication between driver tour guides and tourists in Bali, as well as its impact on the tourist experience. This research employs a mixed-method approach, combining quantitative and qualitative methods. The quantitative approach was conducted through a survey of tourists using driver tour guide services in Bali, while the qualitative approach was conducted through in-depth interviews with driver tour guides. Quantitative data were analyzed using correlation analysis and the F-test, while qualitative data were analyzed using thematic analysis techniques.The results indicate that the use of digital technologies, such as mobile applications and chatbots, significantly improves the quality of communication and tourist satisfaction. Correlation analysis shows a very strong relationship between the use of digital technology by drivers and tourist satisfaction (correlation coefficient R = 0.911). The F-test indicates that the effect of digital technology use on tourist satisfaction is significant (F-value = 61.814; p < 0.05). Qualitative findings also reveal that digital technology facilitates more accurate and faster information, thereby enhancing the overall tourist experience.This research provides significant contributions to the development of theory and practice in the tourism field and offers practical recommendations for enhancing tourism services through digital technology.

Abstract

Third-party objections to seizure are a form of gugatan lain-lain regulated by Article 3, paragraph (1) of UU No. 37 Tahun 2004 about Kepailitan dan PKPU. A common issue in these third-party objections involves land sold through Perjanjian Pengikatan Jual Beli (PPJB) without making Akta Jual Beli (AJB). In practice, there is a disparity in the decisions related to disputes involving land transactions through PPJB, leading to legal uncertainty and questioning the validity of PPJB as a legitimate document. This study aims to contribute to understanding the position of third parties in opposing general seizures in bankruptcy cases and to provide practical insights for those involved in similar legal processes. The methodology employed is normative juridical, analyzing secondary sources as the primary material. The approach used includes statue and case approaches. The research findings indicate that third parties in bankruptcy cases can still file objections to assert their rights to land even after the lapse of five years through gugatan lain-lain. Additionally, PPJB can legally serve as evidence of the transfer of land rights involved in a case, provided that the buyer has fully paid for the land and acted in good faith.

Abstract

In the current era of digital payment system transformation, the use of Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) has become one of the main trends in the ease of financial transactions. This research aims to explore the trends and challenges faced in transaction security using QRIS. This study uses qualitative research methods and analyzes literature, identifying various aspects of the use of QRIS, including its advantages in imitating digital payment systems. The results of the study show that by implementing advanced data encryption and transaction authentication, QRIS has significantly improved transaction security. In addition, this system encourages the growth of the digital ecosystem and financial inclusion by making it easier to integrate various payment platforms. Although QRIS helps prevent fraud with a verification mechanism and surveillance of suspicious actions, there are still problems. One of them is the need to educate users about security practices. In addition, QRIS has provided a strong foundation for the development of new technologies, encouraging innovation in digital payment systems. When various stakeholders in the payments ecosystem work together, the user experience becomes better. Although innovation has many advantages, the management of new technologies and compliance with safety standards are still a problem. Overall, QRIS offers a secure and integrated payment solution while allowing for innovation. To maximize the benefits of QRIS, all parties must continue to improve their understanding of security, support financial inclusion, and adapt to the latest innovations.

Abstract

The expansion policy regulated in Law Number 2 of 2021 mandates the formation of three new provinces in Papua, namely South Papua, Central Papua, and Mountainous Papua. They believe that expansion will bring more attention and resources to areas that have been neglected. The purpose of this study is to look at the impact of provincial expansion in Papua from the perspective of indigenous leaders, given that this policy has created six new provinces in the country. As part of the Indonesia government's efforts to improve administrative efficiency and accelerate development, these changes have generated a lot of response from the community, especially from indigenous Papuan leaders who have an important role in the country's social and cultural structure. This study uses a qualitative approach with literature review to reveal the subjective views and experiences of indigenous leaders related to provincial expansion. The results of the study show that traditional leaders support and oppose this expansion policy. Support comes from those who believe that expansion can accelerate progress and well-being, while objections stem from concerns that it could disrupt social and cultural stability. This research helps to understand the impact of expansion from the perspective of indigenous leaders, emphasizes that cultural and social aspects must be considered when making expansion policies, and suggests that an inclusive and local wisdom-based approach should be applied in Papua's development process.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the views of the Acehnese people regarding the use of marijuana, with a special focus on the perspectives of traditional leaders and clergy in the region. Aceh, known for its strict application of sharia law, has a distinctive view of prohibited substances, including marijuana. This research method uses a qualitative approach with in-depth interview techniques with traditional leaders and clergy as well as literature studies to strengthen their views on the legality, social impact, and moral implications of cannabis use. The results of this study show that medically, marijuana can overcome long-term pain, mental health problems, slow the development of cancer cells, and improve symptoms of epilepsy and multiple sclerosis. However, there are health risks such as mental health problems, testicular cancer, and respiratory diseases if used. In Indonesia law, marijuana is considered a drug with a high addictive effect and is prohibited from use. By teaching the community and working with law enforcement, Acehnese traditional and religious leaders play an important role in preventing marijuana abuse. In general, although marijuana has potential medical benefits, marijuana use in Indonesia must continue to be controlled and restricted to prevent abuse. If the legalization of medical marijuana is discussed, the benefits and risks should be carefully considered, with strict regulation to reduce its adverse effects.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the changes in nickel levels as a result of the analysis on the variation in temperature and drying time as well as the weight of press pellet scale samples from one of the same sample types. This research method is in the form of an experiment with a factorial research design from analysis parameters in the form of MC percentage and nickel ore content of Ni element. The results of the analysis showed that drying at 105°C and 125°C achieved a constant MC during a heating time of 5 to 6 hours. Meanwhile, at a temperature of 145-185 degrees Celsius with an interval of 2-6 hours, the MC level has experienced a constant weight of 44.44%. At the same temperature treatment, which is 105oC, different constant times are obtained. This is influenced by the difference in weight between the two samples, namely in the AP/5 and AP/6 range of 0.360 grams, while AP ORI weighs 1.8 kg. The results of the Epsilon 4 reading showed that the variation in drying temperature at 105°C to 185°C and drying time of 3-6 hours affected the nickel ore content in the range of 1.50% to 1.53%, close to the standard value of nickel 1.50%. The lower the temperature and drying time, the humidity level of the sample increases, causing the nickel ore content to decrease, while the higher the temperature and drying time increases the risk of nickel decomposition. The optimum temperature and drying time is 165°C for 2-4 hours. The press sample weight is between 8-14 grams resulting in a stable nickel content at 1.47%-1.50%, with an optimum weight of 10-14 grams for optimal sample thickness and density.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the implementation of the Hospital Management Information System (SIMRS) on management decision-making at Drs. H. Abu Hanifah Hospital, Central Bangka Regency. The research method used is a qualitative method with the PIECES (Performance, Information, Economy, Control, Efficiency, Service) approach. This study involved 17 participants who were directly related to the use of SIMRS in hospitals. The results of the study show that even though SIMRS has been implemented well, there are still several obstacles such as incomplete data that affects employee performance. However, in general, SIMRS has a positive impact on information quality and operational efficiency in management decision-making. Recommendations for improvement include improvements in service aspects and periodic system updates.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of social media in the dissemination of flood early warning information carried out by the Jakarta Provincial BPBD. Against the background of the importance of an effective early warning system, this study explores the use of social media as a communication channel that can reach the wider community quickly. Using a qualitative approach, this case study observed post data from BPBD social media platforms such as X (Twitter), Facebook, and Instagram in the period from November 2023 to February 2024. The results of the study show that BPBD actively uses social media to provide early warning information related to floods from various sources, such as upstream rain, local rain, and coastal floods. The conclusion of this study is that social media is effective in increasing public preparedness against potential floods, despite the challenges in maintaining public trust and ensuring understanding of the message conveyed.
