Abstract

Technological advances in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era have had a big impact, especially in the industrial sector with the emergence of automatic robots which help increase efficiency and productivity. This research discusses the design of an Arduino Nano-based robot arm that is controlled using a joystick system. The objective of this research is to establish a robotic arm mechanical system that is responsive to the movement of the joystick and sevo motor as a driver of the closed feedback system and to identify the parameters for the success of the hard ware and software system in moving objects. The research stages used involve design analysis, device assembly, and system programming. The research results show that the developed robot arm is able to effectively move objects with success parameters including the type of shape and physical structure of the object being lifted. This research found that objects with simple shapes such as blocks have a higher level of ease of lifting, while soft physical structures also influence ease of lifting.

Abstract

Real-time object detection using the YOLO (You Only Look Once) algorithm has shown promising performance in various computer vision applications. However, its application on devices with limited resources is still a challenge due to its high computational requirements. This study aims to optimize the YOLOv5 model for fire and smoke detection on Orange Pi Zero 3 devices using quantization techniques. Using a dataset of 2247 fire and smoke images, this study applies static quantization techniques to improve model efficiency. The methodology includes training of standard YOLOv5 models, conversion to ONNX format, and application of static quantization. Results show a significant improvement in computational efficiency, with a 42.2% reduction in model size and a 65.21% increase in inference speed. Despite a decrease in the mAP value by 25.6%, the optimized model was still able to perform object detection at a significantly higher speed. In conclusion, the quantization technique is effective in optimizing the YOLOv5 model for deployment on edge computing devices, despite the trade-off between speed and accuracy.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how the policy design of the Determination of Electoral Areas of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia with the Policy Design Theory initiated by Anne Larasson and Helen Ingram. This study seeks to analyze how the Regional Policy Design of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia in the 2024 Election affects democracy in Indonesia. The research method used in this study is qualitative research that is descriptive and interpretive to explain how the policy-making system of the Electoral Region of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia affects democracy by using a critical approach. The findings of this study are that the policy design of the constituency of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia in the 2024 election is a design that contains Social Construction. This can be seen from a series of processes contained in the policy-making system said by Helen Ingram and Anne Larasson which consists of the context of society that occurred before the 2024 general election, the dynamics of framing carried out by the group through the events that occurred, the context of the problem influenced by political forces and institutional culture, and finally the dynamics of design influenced by the calculation of opportunities and risks. From a series of processes that occurred, it was obtained that the design of the constituency policy of the House of Representatives itself was a design that damaged democracy.

Abstract

Nowadays, industrial competition in an era of globalization in manufacturing can improve the quality of the products produced. PT. Powerindo Prima Perkasa is a metal and electrical equipment company. Because of the Make To Order (MTO) production process, there is often a decline in quality. The objective of the research is to find factors that cause rework, identify the cost of poor quality (COPQ) and the application of Plan, Do, Check and Action (PDCA). Data taken from May to October 2023 with an average rework cost and COPQ of Rp 6.478.871. There were 6 points of finding defects with a total of 2,455 defects. The rework problem diagram shows the two highest points of finding thin powder and scratch. Through the PDCA application, data is taken from the previous rework cause analysis diagram. Plan level, there are four improvement factors: man, method, machine, environment. Stage do, applying improvements is training, new methods, new way of working machines with waste powder 25%, monitoring new layout. Obtained 748 defects with average cost of rework and COPQ after simulation of Rp 4.832.053. The action phase followed up on the previous phase by providing standardization through training periodically at least once in 3 months, performing monitoring every day. Next, follow up improvements with PDCA through the problem diagram after the highest simulation is the aluminum plate gap defect.

Abstract

In an era of increasingly fierce business competition, companies are required to improve efficiency in every business process. One of the crucial aspects that can support efficiency is the implementation of proper quality management. Quality management is a systematic approach to managing and improving the quality of products, services, and processes in an organization, with the goal of meeting customer expectations and achieving optimal efficiency. This research explores various quality management approaches such as Total Quality Management (TQM), Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and ISO 9001. This approach has a focus on continuous improvement, elimination of waste, and increased customer satisfaction. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method to analyze the implementation of these models in improving the efficiency of the company's business processes. The results of the assessment from the media expert, Mr. Muhammad Ikhwan, S.Pd., M.Pd showed the feasibility of the media with an average score of 92.17%, while the assessment of the material expert, Mrs. Nurul Isnaeni, S.Pd, obtained an average of 96.19%, with the category of "Very Feasible" for all aspects. This study proves that Powtoon-based learning media is effective and feasible to use in the context of education.

Abstract

Regarding the influence of quality management systems on the success of information technology (IT), it can be started by explaining the importance of quality in the development and implementation of IT systems. In the context of modern business, information technology plays a very important role in supporting operations, increasing efficiency, and providing competitive advantage. However, to ensure that IT systems truly support these goals, quality in every aspect of IT development and management must be maintained. This study aims to analyze the influence of quality management systems on the success of information technology. In an increasingly complex business environment, the quality of information technology is a determining factor in achieving organizational goals. An effective quality management system is expected to increase efficiency, reduce risk, and ensure that results are in accordance with predetermined specifications.

Abstract

T Land dispute resolution is a complex issue in Indonesia, especially in urban areas such as West Jakarta. These disputes often involve the sale and purchase of the land in question, as in case Number 59/Pdt.G/2023/PN Jkt.Brt. This study aims to analyze juridically the settlement of land disputes and how they are implemented in the Indonesian legal system. The method used in this study is normative legal research that focuses on literature review. The results of the study show that the implementation of mediation as one of the dispute resolution methods provides equal justice for both parties, and can result in a peace agreement that has legal force. The conclusion of this study is that the mediation mechanism has great potential in resolving land disputes more effectively than the litigation route.

Abstract

This research discusses freedom of thought as an important element in the development of Christian theology and how the church responds to modern social challenges. Freedom of thought, although it often faces obstacles from church authority and attachment to tradition, provides opportunities for a more inclusive and progressive theological dialogue. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, which involves in-depth interviews with church leaders and document analysis. The results show that freedom of thought contributes to enriching Christian theology and strengthens its relevance in responding to social issues, such as gender equality and social justice. This study concludes that freedom of thought plays an important role in maintaining the relevance of Christian theology in the midst of changing times without ignoring the teachings of the core faith.

Abstract

Bisnis kerajinan tungku dapur ini pada dasarnya dibatasi oleh modal, bahan baku, dan kesulitan memasarkannya. Pengrajin tungku dapur hanya bergantung pada permintaan pengepul, sehingga sulit bagi mereka untuk membuat produk tungku dapur dengan harga tinggi. Selain itu pembeli lebih tertarik tertarik dengan produk yang lebih modern. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan kesejahteraan pengrajin tungku dapur di desa Banjar Baru Kecamatan Daha Selatan Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Selatan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan atau field research dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Subjeknya adalah para pengrajin tungku dapur, objeknya adalah kesejahteraan pengrajin tungku dapur. Sedangkan sumber datanya adalah responden dan informan dari berbagai pihak terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesejahteraan pengrajin tungku dapur di desa Banjar Baru Kecamatan Daha Selatan Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Selatan yang masuk kategori keluarga Pra Sejahtera (KPS) berjumlah 3 keluarga. Kategori Keluarga Sejahtera I berjumlah 13 keluarga. Kategori Keluarga Sejahtera II berjumlah 2 keluarga. Dan masuk kategori Keluarga Sejahtera III berjumlah 5 keluarga. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kesejahteraan pengrajin tungku dapur di desa Banjar Baru Kecamatan Daha Selatan Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Selatan didominasi oleh tahapan Keluarga Sejahtera I. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa para pengrajin tungku dapur belum bisa mencukupi indikator kebutuhan psikologis mereka.

Abstract

This research aims to create a management model that integrates technology effectively in the management and learning process in Islamic educational institutions, so that it can expand the reach of education to more students, including in remote areas, as well as improve the quality of education through the use of technology that supports interaction, collaboration, and learning innovation. A qualitative descriptive method was used in this study, the data collection technique used was a literature study, while the data obtained was analyzed by Miles & Huberman interactive analysis with a three-stage process, namely reduction and presentation of data and drawing conclusions. The results of the analysis found that the development of a technology-based Islamic education management model is important to improve access and quality of education in the digital era. Various technologies present in the development of the digital era help in interactive learning, accessibility, and student performance evaluation, as well as help develop digital skills and character according to Islamic values. With responsive management, Islamic educational institutions can adapt to changes while maintaining the holistic essence of education.
