Abstract

Saving electrical energy in households is an important aspect of facing the challenges of climate change and the need for better energy efficiency. The study examines how simple steps, such as using energy-efficient electrical appliances, implementing efficient daily habits, and maintaining electrical systems, can significantly reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions. By analyzing various energy-saving strategies, this study shows that small actions can have a big impact, both in terms of reducing carbon footprint and saving energy costs for households. This study aims to identify and analyze energy efficiency measures that can be applied in households to reduce energy consumption without reducing comfort. The research method used is quantitative descriptive with a cross-sectional survey design, collecting data through observations, surveys, and structured interviews on several households in urban and suburban areas. The results of the study show that the implementation of simple measures, such as replacing incandescent lamps with LED lights, turning off electronic appliances when not in use, as well as regular maintenance of household appliances, can reduce energy consumption by 20-30% and reduce costs by up to 15-25% per month. In conclusion, energy savings at the household level not only have a positive impact on the household economy but also on environmental protection. The implications of this study show that with the support of government policies and energy providers, the adoption of energy-saving technologies in society can be accelerated, contributing to the national carbon emission reduction target. It is hoped that the results of the study will provide practical guidance for individuals and families to implement effective energy-saving measures, contribute to environmental protection, and improve household economic well-being.

Abstract

In this modern world, the internet has become very influential in our daily lives. The Internet has many uses to solve various problems, one of which is full hardware storage, therefore the Internet provides software-based data, for example, cloud storage applications. The study aims to analyze and evaluate various data security techniques and protection methods used in the cloud computing framework, focusing on vulnerability identification, risk mitigation strategy assessment, and user security awareness improvement. In addition, this study aims to analyze data security techniques and data protection approaches applied to cloud systems. In addition, the study also assesses potential risks and mitigates security threats such as cyberattacks and data breaches. Using qualitative methodologies, the study investigated relevant literature, examined real-life cases of data breaches, and analyzed the effectiveness of security measures such as encryption and multi-factor authentication. The findings show that cloud systems remain vulnerable to cyber threats like DDoS attacks, credential theft, and data breaches due to inadequate security protocols. Key recommendations include adopting encryption, improved multi-factor authentication practices, and encouraging collaboration between cloud service providers and users to strengthen data security. The research contributes by proposing a comprehensive approach to improving data protection in cloud environments, ensuring a secure and resilient infrastructure for users. Implementing these findings will support the development of more secure cloud technologies and increase user confidence in data security practices. It is hoped that the study's results can provide recommendations to improve data security and data protection in cloud systems.

Abstract

This study aims to optimize communication for the humanoid "Subs-Talker" robot using Receive Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) analysis within the Robot Operating System (ROS). The background of this research highlights the importance of stable and strong inter-robot communication in the Indonesian Humanoid Robot Soccer Contest (KRSBI-H), where robots need to function in synergy. The method involves measuring signal strength at specific distances, both with and without the use of an extender device, utilizing the InSSIDer application for RSSI data recording and analysis. The results show that using an extender improves communication stability, especially at longer distances (7.2 and 9.0 meters), although the impact is minimal at closer distances. The discussion suggests that an extender can be an effective solution for enhancing inter-robot communication quality in competitions. In conclusion, the extender significantly improves the communication range and signal quality among robots, supporting optimal performance in collaborative robot interactions within the competition arena.

Abstract

This research is about many crimes that occur on social media. Fraud, for example, begging children or families, fake SMS, fake job offers, selling counterfeit goods or non-existent pre-orders, fake online auctions, misleading loan offers, Cyberbullying, sending cruel or hurtful messages, posting photos or videos that embarrass certain people, spreading bad rumors and threatening someone, Hoax News, for example, fake taxpayer notification emails, fake job summons, hoax news of natural disasters, pornography, for example, prohibited websites, illegal applications. The reach of cybercrime knows no physical boundaries. Criminals, victims, and technical infrastructure are spread across the globe. With the use of technology to exploit security vulnerabilities at both personal and corporate levels, cybercrime takes many forms and continues to grow. Social media users should be more aware of potential threats and ways to protect themselves, such as recognizing fraud, not sharing too much personal information, and keeping passwords strong Strengthen regulations and laws: Governments should strengthen rules and law enforcement regarding global crime virtual on social media.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between confidence and speaking ability of grade XI students at SMA IP Yakin Cengkareng, West Jakarta. The research method used is a correlational method with instruments like confidence questionnaires and speaking tests. Data were collected from 30 students in grade XI science who were selected through the purposive sampling technique. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between students' confidence and speaking ability, with a correlation coefficient value of 0.850, which means that alternative hypotheses were accepted. These findings suggest that increased students' confidence can have a positive impact on their speaking skills in English.

Abstract

E-commerce has become an integral part of modern business practices, driven by the increasing demand for convenience and efficiency in the digital era. As more people turn to online platforms for transactions, understanding the factors that influence e-commerce adoption and its impact on business growth has become crucial. This research aims to explore the role of e-commerce technology in business growth, identifying both the supporting factors and barriers that affect its implementation in the digital era. The study employs a mixed-method approach, combining qualitative and quantitative research methods. Data were collected using surveys from 200 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the retail sector, alongside in-depth interviews with 15 business owners. The results indicate that e-commerce technology significantly enhances business growth by increasing market reach, improving operational efficiency, and providing customer insights. However, challenges such as technological infrastructure limitations, cybersecurity concerns, and resistance to change were identified as barriers to successful e-commerce adoption. This research concludes that while e-commerce plays a vital role in driving business growth, addressing these barriers is essential for businesses to fully leverage the benefits of digital commerce. The study contributes to understanding how businesses can overcome obstacles to e-commerce adoption and thrive in the digital economy.

Abstract

This research refers to the development of informatics and multimedia which has undergone a significant transformation, influencing various aspects of life, especially in the fields of education, business and communication. Abstract

The development of computer network technology is growing day by day. Therefore, understanding computer networks is part of the competencies that students in higher education must have. Informatics engineering and computer science are study programs at universities that always study computer networks. One effective teaching method in network learning is to carry out network simulations using Cisco Packet Tracer. This method can help students to interactively understand all aspects of the network without requiring expensive hardware. This research discusses the use of Cisco Packet Tracer in the computer network learning process in higher education. Based on research results, Cisco Packet Tracer is related to increasing students' understanding of network design and configuration. In addition, the use of simulations simplifies the learning process and reduces the costs of the facilities required.

Abstract

Plastic waste pollution in aquatic environments threatens marine ecosystems and human health. This study developed a prototype Autonomous Underwater Robot (AUR) based on Raspberry Pi 5, equipped with the YOLO V8 algorithm for real-time detection and classification of plastic waste. Additionally, the AUR uses a PID control system that enables movement stabilization and accurate navigation towards the target. Testing was conducted to evaluate object detection accuracy using mAP and IoU metrics, as well as the PID control performance in maintaining orientation stability. Results indicate that YOLO V8 on the AUR can detect and classify objects with an mAP of 0.6772 at IoU 0.5 and a detection accuracy of 89.6%. The PID control system, with an optimal parameter setting (Kp:Ki:Kd = 125:12:8), achieved an object center accuracy of 96.4%, orientation stability of 90.8%, and a completion time of 2 seconds, demonstrating the efficiency of the AUR in addressing plastic waste in aquatic environments effectively and sustainably.

Abstract

Sustainable ecotourism management can affect the state of the community around the area. A total of approximately 15 beaches are managed in Trenggalek Regency. This study aims to analyze the suitability of the water parameters of Prigi Bay, Trenggalek as a seaweed cultivation location and get the right strategy in the development of Mutiara Beach ecotourism, Trenggalek Regency. The data collection method carried out is by combining questionnaire dissemination techniques, direct interviews with resource persons, and field observation. The questionnaire procedure was carried out using the slovin method to determine the number of respondents by applying accidental sampling. Field observation procedures were carried out to measure water quality parameters at 4 observation stations. The research was conducted in May 2024. The parameters measured for seaweed cultivation include temperature, brightness, current velocity, pH, salinity, dissolved oxygen, and water depth. The research analysis uses quantitative descriptive with the Inverse Distance Weighted (IDW) Interpolation technique to analyze data on the suitability of seaweed cultivation locations and supply demand analysis which will later be used as a SWOT analysis to analyze ecotourism strategies. The results of the study on the potential of seaweed cultivation showed that the water temperature ranged from 30⁰ C-31.4⁰ C, brightness 50-142 cm, current velocity 0.08-0.013 m/s, pH 7.22-7.76, salinity 30-32 ppt, dissolved oxygen 9.4 mg/l, and water depth 9-15 m. So based on the thematic map of land suitability, stations 1 & 2 are not suitable for seaweed cultivation while stations 3 & 4 are very suitable for cultivation. Meanwhile, in the ecotourism strategy, the development results are obtained in accordance with the SO strategy. Visitors and managers prioritize advantages and opportunities as an alternative to development.
