Abstract

A trademark serves as the identity of a product and/or service, representing the quality and reputation associated with it. In the process of trademark registration, it is inevitable that several trademarks may bear similarities and are at risk of rejection by the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DGIP). To address this issue, some strategies include the establishment of Trademark Coexistence Agreements or Letters of Consent (LOC). This research aims to explore the roles of Trademark Coexistence Agreements and LOCs in overcoming the challenges of registering trademarks that share similarities. The methodology employed is normative legal research, involving analysis of relevant legislation and secondary data from related literature. The findings indicate that both Trademark Coexistence Agreements and LOCs can assist trademark owners in reaching agreements regarding the use of similar trademarks. However, the application of these instruments in Indonesia has not been explicitly regulated. The conclusion of this study underscores the necessity for clearer legislative policies and support for the practice of utilizing Trademark Coexistence Agreements and LOCs to streamline the trademark registration process and promote innovation in the market.

Abstract

This study examines the political dynamics in Malaysia with a focus on the electoral system and the formation of multi-ethnic coalitions after the 15th General Election in 2022. Malaysia implements a parliamentary democracy with a constitutional monarchy, where elections are held using the "First Past the Post" (FPTP) system. The 2022 election resulted in a hanging parliament, which marked a significant shift from single-coalition dominance to a new era of coalition politics. Anwar Ibrahim managed to form a multi-ethnic governing coalition, called the National Unity Cabinet, despite facing challenges of ideological differences and ethnic diversity within the coalition. This study aims to analyze Anwar Ibrahim's inclusive leadership as well as the role of political negotiations and coalition formation in maintaining government stability. This research uses a descriptive Qualitative Method, This approach focuses on the description and interpretation of phenomena through qualitative data collection and analysis techniques, emphasizing the wealth of textual information. The results of this study highlight the complexity of Malaysia's electoral system and its impact on the country's political stability.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the online Marriage Management Information System (SIMKAH) in marriage administration at the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) of Bajeng District, Gowa Regency. The main focus of this research is to understand how SIMKAH is implemented and the obstacles faced in the process. This study raises two main questions: (1) What is the role of the KUA in implementing SIMKAH in Bajeng District, Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi? and (2) What are the factors that hinder the implementation of SIMKAH in the KUA? This research uses a qualitative approach with triangulation methods in data collection, which involves observation, interviews, and documentation. The research informants consist of the Head of KUA and administrative staff directly involved in the implementation of SIMKAH. The approach used in this study is normative and juridical, which allows the researcher to understand the legal aspects and regulations related to SIMKAH. The results of the study show that the implementation of SIMKAH at the KUA of Bajeng District has made a positive contribution to improving the efficiency of marriage administration; however, several challenges remain, including limited human resources and inadequate technological infrastructure. These findings are expected to serve as an evaluation for improving technology-based marriage administration services at KUA.

Abstract

Libraries as information centers have a crucial role in education, research, and community literacy development. In the digital era, libraries are required not only to provide access to information, but also services that meet the needs of users. One of the important services is the reference service, which serves as a link between the user and the information needed. Librarians play a vital role in this, not only as custodians of collections, but also as educators and facilitators. At the UPA Library of the Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI) Padang Panjang, the reference service supports the needs of students, lecturers, and researchers. However, limited human resources are a challenge, with only two librarians, one of whom is active in the service. This study aims to examine the role of librarians in reference services, focusing on their role as educators and trainers of information literacy as well as facilitators of learning and research. Librarians are expected to guide users in choosing and using information effectively, especially in the context of abundant digital information. They also function as facilitators in supporting the learning and research process, especially for students in the field of arts and culture. The research method used is qualitative with in-depth interviews to understand the roles and challenges of librarians. The results of the study are expected to provide a clear picture of the role of librarians in the UPA ISI Padang Panjang Library and recommendations to improve services to meet the information needs of users, so that libraries can contribute more to education and research.

Abstract

User satisfaction is a level of positive or evaluative feelings that arise after users compare their perceptions of an institution's product or service performance with their expectations. This study aims to analyze the effect of service quality and institutional reputation on user satisfaction at the Gamana Krida Bhakti Business Certification Institute. This research method uses quantitative analysis with multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The population in this study were all users of Business Certification Services at the Gamana Krida Bhakti (GKB) Business Certification Institute (LSBU), totaling 52,761. The determination of the number of samples used in this study was determined using the Slovin formula with an margin error of 10% so that a sample size of 100 respondents was obtained. The results of the study indicate that service quality has a positive and significant effect of 24% on user satisfaction, institutional reputation has a positive and significant effect of 21.1% on user satisfaction and service quality and institutional reputation together have a positive and significant effect of 30.8% on user satisfaction at the Gamana Krida Bhakti (GKB) Business Certification Institute (LSBU).

Abstract

Article 74 of Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation has underpinned the police's efforts in regulating the elimination of motor vehicles that do not meet operational standards. However, the implementation of this article often creates a legal dilemma for vehicle owners whose vehicles have been administratively abolished but still have a valid BPKB. This article explores the paradox between the legal and operational status of the vehicle, highlighting the discrepancy between the legality documents and the operational feasibility of the vehicle. Using Sudikno Mertokusumo's theory of legal certainty and Jeremy Bentham's theory of utilitarianism, this analysis seeks to provide recommendations for regulatory adjustments to address these disparities, ensure social justice, and improve compliance with safety and environmental standards. As a result, the application of Article 74 of Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Traffic and Road Transportation to motor vehicles with BPKB which is declared "fraudulent" creates a legal dilemma for vehicle owners. Although the vehicle administratively has valid documents, it no longer meets operational standards, which reduces economic value and poses legal challenges for the owner

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of accreditation status on the satisfaction of health workers and patients at Hikmah Masamba Hospital, which is required by the Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 44 of 2009 concerning Hospitals to carry out accreditation every three years to improve the quality of service and patient safety. Using qualitative methods and phenomenological approaches, data were collected through interviews with 15 health workers and 6 patients. The results of the study showed that accreditation had a positive impact on the satisfaction of both groups. Healthcare workers stated that their improved facilities, work safety, and attention to performance have met expectations. Meanwhile, patients are satisfied with the quality of physical and non-physical facilities, controlled waiting times, the accuracy of doctors in conducting visits, and the friendliness and caution of health workers in providing services. From these results, it can be concluded that accreditation status plays a significant role in increasing the satisfaction of both health workers and patients at Hikmah Masamba Hospital.

Abstract

Metode dan media adalah hal yang sangat berpengaruh dalam proses pembelajaran, oleh karena itu guru hendaknya menggunakan metode serta media yang memadai cara belajar para muridnya. Oleh karena itu tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengenal metode al-arba’in finnahwi wassorfi wallugoh, mengetahui dampak Instagram sebagai media pembelajaran terhadap implementasi metode al-arba’in finnahwi wassorfi wallugoh, serta mengetahui peningkatan intelektual para santri dengan metode al-arba’in finnahwi wassorfi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah  studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif , melibatkan 3 santri dan 1 pengajar di pondok pesaantren Baitussakhi yang dipilih secara purposive. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya sebuah peningkatan intelektual para santri setelah mengikuti atau mempelajari nahwu shorof dengan metode al-arba’in finnahwi wassorfi wallugoh dengan Instagram sebagai media belajarnya dengan adanya kemajuan yaitu adanya penambahan wawasan, dan dapat mengimplementasikan apa yang telah santri pelajari. Adapun dampak negatif dari penggunaan Instagram dalam pembelajaran metode al-arba’in finnahwi wassorfi wallugoh yaitu penggunaan kuota yang boros menjadi kendala bagi para pelajar dalam menggunakan Instagram sebagai media pembelajaran. Salah satu solusinya adalah dengan menyediakan fasilitas wifi di pondok pesantren Baitussakhi. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi teknologi dalam pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan efektivitas pendidikan di pondok pesantren. Implikasinya, penyediaan fasilitas internet yang memadai menjadi kebutuhan mendesak agar pembelajaran berbasis media sosial dapat berlangsung tanpa hambatan. Studi ini merekomendasikan pengembangan metode pembelajaran berbasis teknologi lainnya untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan Islam di era digital.

Abstract

In the relationship of space, the architect makes a precondition of how each space should relate and the type of relationship. The pattern of hospital room relationships has been regulated in the regulation of the Minister of Health. This study aims to analyze the level of suitability of the hospital room relationship with the regulations of the Minister of Health. The object of the research used is the Kumpulan Pane Regional General Hospital or abbreviated as RSKP, located in the city of Tebing Tinggi, Serdang Bedagai Regency, North Sumatra Province. This research is a quantitative research, with data obtained through direct observation and juxtaposed with the Regulation of the Minister of Health. The results of observations at the location of the research object found that the spatial relationship pattern between hospital buildings did not meet the standard of spatial relationship pattern contained in the Regulation of the Minister of Health. This study has a conclusion that some of the buildings in the hospital do not meet the existing regulatory standards so that they need to be adjusted. The targeted output is an accredited journal.

Abstract

Marketing communication can also be interpreted as a two-way exchange of information between parties or institutions that are visible in marketing. The use of digital media as a means of communication is currently used to produce, reproduce, distribute or disseminate and convey information in marketing activities. Marketing digitalization will certainly make marketing activities simpler, faster, more accurate, easier, cheaper, more effective and efficient through marketing digitalization. TaniHub as e-commerce in the agricultural sector applies a digital communication model to marketing in the agricultural sector, namely (1) advertising, (2) sales promotion, (3) events and experiences, (4) public relations and publicity, (5) direct marketing, (6) interactive marketing, (7) word of mouth marketing and (8) personal selling. The aim of this research is to determine the communication transformation model applied by TaniHub in running its business. By using qualitative research and interview methods with TaniHub, the results of this research show that the application of a communication model using eight communication models from Kotler can improve marketing and increase TaniHub e-commerce customers, both from farmer partners and agricultural product buyers.
