Abstract

Islamic education has an important role in forming individuals who are not only intellectually competent but also have good morals and a deep understanding of religion and apply it in their lives. There are several charismatic scholars who have recently gained popularity with their phenomenal thoughts on the concept of Islamic education, and one of them is Ahmad Bahauddin Nursalim. This research aims to describe the concept of Islamic education from Bahauddin Nursalim's perspective and its relevance to modernization. The research method used is descriptive-qualitative, with a library research type. Data was obtained through documentary techniques through online searches and using content analysis and hermeneutics. Ahmad Bahauddin Nursalim emphasized the concept of Islamic education, which is appropriate to the situation of this modern era, in several of his thoughts, which were grouped into three aspects of education, namely: aqidah, worship, and morals. According to him, the modernization of Islamic religious education must have the principle of integrating the treasures of classical knowledge with the development of modern technology, the center of which is love for Allah Swt.

Everything on earth is God's creation, understanding that the living will definitely die, and the teacher also reminds and always invites you to obey God. Second, instilling the value of worship begins with the habit of praying the dhuha prayer, reading the Koran, praying the midday and asr prayers in congregation, and Friday prayers in congregation. Third, instilling moral values where teachers prioritize an honest attitude towards themselves and others, mutual help, discipline, responsibility, and courtesy towards people around them, whether parents, teachers, or peers.

Abstract

Learning is often carried out ineffectively due to a number of problems that occur. Inappropriate learning methods are also a problem and will affect students' academic scores. This research was carried out because it was motivated by issues or problems, such as the fact that students are still passive rather than active, that some students still feel embarrassed to ask, and that the lack of enthusiasm for student learning is caused by inaccurate techniques or teacher teaching methods and causes small grades and student learning outcomes. Because of this, researchers are trying to apply the snowball throwing method. The purpose of this study is to improve student learning outcomes. Quantitative methods were used in this study by providing a pre-test and a post-test. The research location is in MTsN 1, Bengkalis. Researchers analyzed the research data using the Wilcoxon test and obtained a Wilcoxon test result of 0.000. The terms of this test are Sig. > 0.05 = 0.000 > 0.05, which means that H0 is rejected and H1 is approved. In this case, the conclusion is that the snowball throwing method can improve student learning outcomes in class VII fikih subjects at MTsN 1 Bengkalis.

The results of this research showed that the variables emotional intelligence (X1) and time management (X2) had a strong, positive, and significant relationship with the success of memorizing the Qur'an. It was proven by correlation values (r) of 0.656 and 0.212. Together, the variables emotional intelligence (X1) and time management (X2) influence the success of memorizing the Qur’an (Y) by 54.5%. As for the remaining 45.5%, success in memorizing the Qur’an was influenced by other variables not explained in this research.  Therefore, this research could contribute to students memorizing the Qur'an, thereby influencing their intelligence and the time management they carried out in the future learning process.
