Abstract

The objective of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the use of video media in improving student learning outcomes in the competence of caring for the scalp and hair. The research method used was an experimental method with pretest and posttest control group design. This study used test as a research data collection instrument. The validity test of the test questions was analyzed by using product moment correlation and the reliability testi was analyzed by using the Kuder-Richardson-20 formula (KR-20). The contents validity of video instrument and the performance of students were analyzed by using the Contents Validity Ratio (CVR) formula, meanwhile, the reliability test was analyzed by using Cohens Kappa. The study population was a class of X beauty students at State Vocational High School 3 Pati. The placement of the students into the experiment group and the control group used a random assigment technique by drawing. Based on the results of the t-test, the initial average of learning outcomes in the competency of caring the scalp and hair of the control group is 54.5704, it improves into 75.0593 with the improves of 37.54%, including in the “low” category. Whereas, in the experiment group, the initial average learning outcomes in the competency of caring for the scalp and hair is 55.9438, it increases to 83.3281, with the improves of 48.95%, including in the “medium” category. The difference in the improvement in learning outcomes in the experiment group is higher than the difference in the improvement in learning outcomes of the control group (48.95% 37.54%) so that it can be synthesized that the use of video media is effective in learning competency in caring for the scalp and hair in class of X beauty students of State Vocational High School 3 Pati.

Abstract

Peranan penyuluh sangat penting dalam menyampaikan program pembangunan pertanian dan memberdayakan sumber daya manusia (petani). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis kinerja penyuluh pertanian di Kabupaten Landak. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode campuran dengan penekatan embedded congruent. Responden dalam penelitian ini diambil dari petani komoditas padi di Kabupaten Landak dengan wilayah sampel penelitian Kecamatan Ngabang, Kecamatan Sengah Temila, dan Kecamatan Menyuke. Pengambilan sampel ditentukan secara purposive berjumlah 90 orang dalam pengisian koesioner, 4 orang informan primer dan 3 orang informan sekunder. Hasil analisis kuantitatif menunjukan bahwa berdasarkan penilaian responden kinerja penyuluh pertanian rata-rata berada pada kategori tinggi dengan persentase masing-masing: faktor pembangunan sumber daya manusia (PSM) sebesar 71,33%, faktor pemindahan teknologi (PT) pertanian sebesar 70,09% dan faktor pengetahuan dan keterampilan metode penyuluhan sebesar 71,50%. Indikator yang menempati posisi paling tinggi diantaranya pengukuhan kegiatan sosial ekonomi, menyediakan dan menyebarkan informasi teknologi, dan metode penyuluhan kelompok/ meeting. Teknik pengukuran kinerja penyuluh pertanian dilakukan menggunakan instrumen berbentuk skala likert 4 tingkatan. The role of extension is crucial in delivering agricultural development programs and empowering human resources (farmers). The purpose of this research is to analyze the performance of agricultural extension workers in Landak regency. This research uses the mix methods with embedded congruent approach. The respondents in this research were taken from paddy farmers in Landak regency with the sample areas in Ngabang district, Sengah Temila district, and Menyuke district. The sampling was determined purposively which includes 90 people in filling the questioner, four primary informants and three secondary informants.The results of quantitative analysis based on the respondents' assessment towards the performance of the agricultural extension workers showed averagely at high category with the percentage of each: human resource development factor (PSM) 71.33%, agriculture technology transfer factor (PT) amounted to 70.09% and the extension methods knowledge and skills factor is 71.50%. The highest indicators are; the inauguration of social and economic activities, the provision and the dissemination of information technology, and the methods of counseling groups/ meetings. Measurement techniques of agricultural extension performance was done using a four levels likert scale instrument.
The Use of Video Tutorial in Increasing Understanding of Ceramic Tiles Installation for Walls and Floors in the Subjects of Building Construction Basics

Abstract

The building construction basics include the installation of ceramic tiles for walls and floors as the primary topic. However, using conventional methods as instructional media has caused a lack of understanding for some students, especially for beginner students, as they will face difficulty imagining the material presented. Moreover, the students would hardly see the detailed installation demonstrations and tend to get bored with explanations through whiteboards. Creating video tutorials is one alternative to make it easier for students to understand and know the technique of installing wall and floor tiles. This study employed a Research and Development (RD) approach, and a Four-D model was utilized in the video tutorial making. The feasibility test phase involved student respondents and expert instructors, including three instructors from P4TK VEDC of Malang and 98 tenth-grade students of SMK 2 State Vocational High School in Pati. The results of the analysis of the students’ material needs found 64.3% or more than half of the students did not understand the topic of ceramic installation. Further, the test results from content experts and media experts obtained percentages of 93.5% (very feasible) and 83% (feasible), respectively. The test of understanding the material by students obtained a percentage of 77% (good). The study concluded that the video tutorials for installing wall and floor tiles are suitable for use in learning activities as the learning outcomes have proven that students have good understanding skills in ceramic installation. The innovation of instructional media becomes the novelty of this research. The study has applied video tutorials demonstrated by international experts by adopting the World Skills International ceramic installation competency standard, namely the paste system.

Abstract

Socialization in the form of games or educational games will be more interesting and fun. In addition, the use of applications on smartphones can indeed be a practical alternative to increase the ability to adapt to the surrounding environment and current developments. The purpose of this research is to build a tax introduction application "Aku Tau Pajak Sekarang" as a media of socialization. The application development method used is the Waterfall method. The steps of this research are communication, planning, modeling, construction, and deployment. In application testing, it is carried out by material testing, gain test, media test, and software feasibility test (functional suitability, compatibility, and usability). This research resulted in the application “Aku Tau Pajak Sekarang” which contains educational games that can be used as a media for socializing tax introduction. From the results of tests carried out, the application can be categorized as "very good" so that the application can be declared fit for use. The result of the material test got a percentage of 91.67%, the gain test got a score of 0.3409, the media test got a percentage of 97.5%, the functional suitability shows that the application can be used properly and there are no errors, compatibility shows a percentage of 100%, usability gets a percentage 80.33%.

Abstract

The objective of the study was to analyse the validity of the project-based learning model in the handycrafting subject learning in Junior High School and analyze the effectiveness of the project-based learning model in improving the creativity of students. The method used in this study was research and development (RD), using ADDIE with product developed is handycrafting project-based learning. This research produces an assessment instrument in the form of a test used for measuring cognitive domains, while non-performance tests (performance tests) are used to measure the affective domains (cre ativity) and psychomotor (skills). Product validity is done by using the CVR validity test with the results of 0.736 kappa reliability results with 2 expert tests 0.7 with Kappa reliability test and the effectiveness of the competency test model using T Test analysis. The results of the Project Based Learning development model for handycrafting subject addressed for VII grader students of Junior High School showed three assessments involving cognitive, affective and psychomotor assessments . The effectiveness of the competency test model showed that knowledge 20%, attitude 35%, and skills 85% which resulted that this development model is able to assess students effectively and objectively. The benefits of this research can be a motivation for students in learning and can be made a guideline for educators in assessing students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat pengembangan model pembelajaran berbasis potensi lokal bidai pada mata pelajaran Kewirausahaan dan menguji kevalidan dan keefektifan dalam menggunakan pembelajaran yang dikembangkan untuk membuat siswa berminat berwirausaha bidai. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah research and development dengan dibuat penyederhanaan pada langkah ke enam sebagai model final yang pelaksanaannya dilaksanakan dalam tahap studi pendahuluan dan tahap pengembangan. Tahap studi pendahuluan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan observasi wawancara terbuka dari pernyataan guru. Tahap pengembangan model pembelajaran kewirausahaan meliputi desain produk yang divalidasi oleh para ahli, selanjutnya diimplementasikan ke dalam perangkat pembelajaran yang akan divalidasi oleh praktisi sebagai pengguna model sebelum diterapkan di dalam kelas. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan model pembelajaran kewirausahaan berbasis potensi lokal bidai dikembangkan menghasilkan model konseptual, model hipotetik, dan model akhir. Model pembelajaran kewirausahaan berbasis potensi lokal yang dikembangkan dinyatakan valid dan efektif untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan membuat bidai dan berwirausaha, memiliki sikap positif terhadap warisan budaya, dan menghasilkan produk bernilai komersil.. Hasil akhir penelitian pada model pembelajaran kewirausahaan ini yaitu hasil akhir model pembelajaran kewirausahaan berbasis potensi lokal bidai dikategorikan valid dan efektif. This research aims to make the development of learning model based on local potential of bidai on Entrepreneurship subjects and to test the validity and effectiveness in using a developed learning to make students interested in entrepreneurial bidai. Research and development were used as the method in this study with a simplification made in the sixth step as a final model, which the implementation was carried out in the preliminary study stage and development stage. The preliminary study stage in this study used open interview observations of teacher statements. The development phase of the entrepreneurship-learning model includes product design, which was validated by experts, and then implemented into learning tools that would be validated by practitioners as model users before being applied in the classroom. The results of this study indicate that the developed entrepreneurship-learning model based on the local potential of bidai generates conceptual models, hypothetical models, and final models. The developed entrepreneurship-learning model based on the local potential is said as a valid and effective learning model in improving the knowledge and skills of bidai and entrepreneurship, possessing a positive attitude toward cultural heritage, and producing commercial value products. The result of this study on the entrepreneurship-learning model is that the developed entrepreneurship-learning model based on the local potential of bidai t is said as a valid and effective learning model.

Abstract

_______________________________________________________________The growth of the automotive industry is growing, so the demands for the availability of skilled vocational graduates are increasing, so that teachers who are competent and productive are needed. The problems that occur are the limited number of productive teachers, so that the competency test development model is needed. The purpose of this study: (1). Knowing the competency profile of TKR teachers, (2). Knowing the results of developing competency test models for vocational school teachers in the TKR field, (3). Conduct the effectiveness test of the development model of the TKR Vocational School teacher competency test.The method used is R D with desaign post test-only technique. Tests carried out are tests of validity, normality, and effectiveness.Conclusion: (1). The professional competence profile of TKR teachers in the electricity sector at a fairly good level, (2). Model development is declared valid, so that the competency test model in the form of TKR modules is obtained, especially electricity, (3). The development model is effective in implementing TKR teacher competency tests

Abstract

Permasalahan pengembangan perikanan budidaya di Kecamatan Jelimpo adalah kurangnya akses informasi pada petani baik secara teknis maupun non teknis dalam pembenihan ikan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengahasilkan model pendampingan pembenihan ikan nila yang valid dan efektif.  Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Reseadch and Development (RD). Model pendampingan ini merupakan kegiatan pembelajaran yang berkerjasama dengan Balai Benih Ikan Jelimpo untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan teknis untuk dapat menghasilkan benih ikan nila secara mandiri. Model pendampingan ini menekankan kegiatan pelatihan sebelum dilakukannya pendampingan. Implementasi Model ini dilakukan oleh fasilitator dari Balai Benih Ikan Jelimpo dengan mengambil 10 peserta dari petani ikan yang berminat untuk berhasil membenihkan ikan nila. Pendampingan dilakukan tiga kali pertemuan pada saat tahap kritis dalam pembenihan. Hasil model pendampingan menunjukkan bahwa model yang telah divalidasi oleh ahli yaitu sangat valid dengan skor rata-rata 88,50. Pada hasil uji coba terbatas juga menunjukkan bahwa model pendampingan pembenihan ikan nila dinilai efektif yaitu dihasilkan dari uji wilcoxon dengan signifikansi 0,005 0,05 hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa model dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan teknis. Hasil pendampingan juga dilihat dari produktifitas petani pada benih ikan yang dinilai dari kualitas dan jumlah benih ikan nila. The problem of the development of aquaculture fishery in Jelimpo sub-district is lack of information access to farmers both technical and non technical in fish hatchery. The purpose of this research is to produce a valid and effective tilapia seedling assistance model. The method used in this research is Reseadch and Development (R D). This mentoring model is a learning activity in collaboration with Jelimpo Fish Seed Center to improve the knowledge and technical skills to be able to produce the tilapia fish independently. This mentoring model emphasizes training activities prior to mentoring. Implementation This model was conducted by a facilitator from Jelimpo Fish Seed Center by taking 10 participants from fish farmers who are interested to successfully nickle tilapia fish. Assistance was done three times during the critical stage in the hatchery. The results of the mentoring model show that the model that has been validated by the expert is very valid with an average score of 88.50. In the limited trial results also showed that the indonesian tilapia seeding assistance model is considered effective, resulting from the wilcoxon test with a significance of 0.005 0.05 this indicates that the model can improve the knowledge and technical skills. The results of assistance are also seen from the productivity of farmers in fish seeds that are assessed by the quality and number of seeds.
The Development of Interactive Learning Media Based Android Application Using Adobe Flash in Conventional Filing System

Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive learning media on Android application-based conventional filling systems, find out the level of feasibility and effectiveness of the media as well as knowing the students' responses. This research used development research methods with ADDIE development models and final test results using one group pretest-posttest design. The instruments used are questionnaires and tests. The results of media validation obtained 190 scores from media experts and a score of 339 from material experts. The assessment of media experts and materials experts declared very decent criteria. The research result of students proved to be effective since the average pretest score of 55.2 and the average posttest score of 82.3, the average difference of 27.1 with the completion of the test results achieved 86.7% from 3.3%. The t-test showed the value of tcount = 27.85 ttable of 2.045. It means there is a significant difference, the results of the gain test get a score of 0.62 with medium improvement criteria. The final product received a very good response from students as users with a percentage of 85.4%.
Contribution of Understanding Design Principles and Control of Design Media Use on Aesthetic Quality Design Students of Fashion Vocational School in Kudus

Abstract

Understanding the basic material of design and mastery of the media if it is technically adequate, it can be ascertained that the design of the clothes produced by students looks more aesthetic. The purpose of research: (1) determine the contribution of understanding of the design principles of the aesthetic quality fashion design, (2) determine contributions mastery media use design to the aesthetic quality of fashion design, (3) determine contributions jointly between the understanding of design principles and mastering the use of design media for the aesthetic quality of fashion designs made by fashion students of Vocational School in Kudus. The pattern used in this study is correlation with a quantitative approach. The studies population is 76 second grade student of dressmaking study program of SMK N 1 Kudus. The research sample is 38 students inclass XI TB 1 SMK N 1 Kudus. In this study there are 2 independent variables namely Understanding the Principles of Designand Mastery of Use of Media Design. Meanwhile the dependent variable is Aesthetic Quality Design. In doing validation, there are 2 ways, namely: (1) Expert Validation (2) Trial Validation. Reliabilitas items made by using Alpha formula. The data analysis technique uses the correlation analysis formula. Reliability performen this study using a test of consistency cohen's kappa. There contributed between 1st assessors and 2nd assessors on the aesthetic quality of design with koefiseincohen's kappa value of 0.200 which means there is no agreement among 1st assessors and 2ndassessors in assessing the aesthetic quality fashion design. The results showed that based on calculations π x1y.x = 0,296, dan ρ = 0,040 ˂ 0,05 which indicates that it is significant, supported by data (accepted). The values obtained show an understanding of design principlescontributing positively to the aesthetic quality of fashion designs.Based on calculations π x2y.x1 = 0,808, ρ = 0,00 ˂ 0,05 which indicates that it is significant, supported by data (accepted). The value obtained shows mastery of the use of design media contributes positively to the aesthetic quality of fashion designs. Based on the calculation of the correlation test in the third hypothesis, R = 0.989, with Fcount = 732,482, and ρ = 0,00 ˂ 0,05, thus the correlation coefficient is positive, the relationship is in the same direction between the two variables. That is, there is a positive relationship between understanding the principles of design and the use of media with the aesthetic quality of fashion designs. After comparing it with a table, it is concluded that it has a very high correlation. This implies that the influence of the independent variable (X) on the dependent variable (Y) is 97,8 %, the rest is influenced by other variables.
