Abstract

Marketing strategy is a form of planning a business to achieve its goals with optimal results. In the world of insurance, competition is something that needs to be considered, especially in the field of marketing, marketing is the most important factor that greatly influences the performance of an insurance institution. insurance institutions must hold promotional communications to prospective customers, because this is the key to success in providing products or services to prospective customers. The research method used in this journal is a qualitative research method. In this study using descriptive research type. The marketing strategy implemented by PT Asuransi Jiwa Syariah Kediri is a marketing mix strategy consisting of product strategy, price strategy, location strategy, promotion strategy, service strategy, process strategy, service people/officers, and physical evidence support strategy. PT. Al Amin Kediri Sharia Life Insurance in increasing the number of participants The highest percentage increase for 3 years in 2022 is 37% then the smallest percentage in 2020 is 18%. Increase from 2020 to 2021 by 7%, from 2021 to 2022 by 12%. The table above shows that the increase in the number of insurance participants occurred at Al Amin, but this still did not meet the target of Al Amin because the planned target was around 50%. This was because at that time the marketing mix had already been implemented at PT Asuransi Jiwa Syariah Al Amin Kediri. but the implementation has not been 100% done because there are obstacles in the implementation of the 7p marketing mix

Abstract

Using data from the insurance statistics of PT Asuransi Askrida Syariah, this study will compare the conditions before and after the spin off. In accordance with the decree letter No. KEP-104/D.05/2017 circulated on December 28, 2017, the Financial Services Authority (OJK) has granted an operational license to this company. One of the sharia business units (UUS) of PT Asuransi Bangun Askrida, Askrida Syariah, officially separated itself from the Holding Company. This research will compare the performance of PT Asuransi Bangun Askrida Syariah in the period of 4 years before and 4 years after spin off using profitability. To complete this analysis, a paired sample t-test was conducted. The profitability results show that there is a difference between before and after the spin off on the financial performance of PT Askrida Syariah with the results of Return on Assets (RoA) and Return on Equity (RoE) of the company decreased after the spin off.

Abstract

This article is aimed to examine the possibility of establishing an ESG and Maqashid Syariah index or rating for sharia insurance companies in an integrated manner. The sharia insurance company’s financial report and sustainability report will be more powerful to portray the comprehensive performance of the company if completed with Maqashid Syariah and they integrate into a standardized index/rating. Through a literature analysis approach, this research results that the formation of an ESG and Maqashid Syariah index or rating for sharia insurance companies in an integrated manner needs to be carried out with adjustments that can be discussed previously, for example, in an FGD involving various stakeholders in the sharia insurance industry. Thus, in the future there will be a standard measure of sustainable financial performance that can be compared (comparable) in the sharia insurance industry in Indonesia which describes financial performance which is reliable, sustainable, and mashlahah.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to influence social media on the purchase decision of sharia insurance products in generation Z. This study uses quantitative methods with purposive sampling techniques. Respondents in this study are students who belong to generation Z and have used social media. Data collected through questionnaires and evaluations with multiple linear regression show that social media has a significant good and positive influence on the decision of interest in purchasing sharia insurance products in generation Z, while the characteristics of gen Z has such a significant positive influence on decisions intention topurchase sharia insurance goods in generation Z. In the context of marketing sharia insurance products, insurance companies can utilize social media as one of the tools to promote their products to generation Z.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of liquidity ratios, own retention ratios, expense ratios, and company size on the company's solvency level as proxied by the Risk Based Capital (RBC) ratio. The sample for this research is a sharia life insurance company that publishes financial reports for the 2017-2021 period. This type of research is quantitative research. The data collection technique used in this research is documentation. The data used is secondary data, namely in the form of financial reports and performance summaries published on the official website of the company related to this research.

Abstract

Insurance companies in Indonesia, especially sharia insurance, are currently increasingly developing with various strategies. One strategy is through an InsurTech approach to sharia insurance waqf products that will be offered to the public. Based on the background above, how to analyze the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of InsurTech Sharia Insurance Waqf Products at PT Asuransi Jiwa Bersama Bumi Putera 1912 Branch Cilegon Prov. Banten. This research aims to analyze the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of InsurTech Sharia Insurance Waqf Products at PT Asuransi Jiwa Bersama Bumi Putera 1912 Cilegon Branch, Banten Province. This type of research is field case study research with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out using interviews, observation and documentation methods. The primary data source in this research comes from interviews with stakeholders. Meanwhile, secondary data in this research comes from books, several journals and the company's official website. Based on the results of the analysis that has been carried out, it is known that the condition of the Bumi Putera Muda 1912 Cilegon Branch is in an unfavorable position. However, there are several strategies that can be an alternative choice for companies in developing digital technology. Among them are: First, the SO (Strength Opportunity) Strategy, such as creating various contemporary innovations in modern applications in order to attract digital markets and collaboration.

Abstract

This research examines the application of De Moivre's Law in determining the value of the contribution allowance for endowment life insurance using the Canadian method. Contribution allowance is very important for life insurance companies to meet claims arising in the current or future period. Insufficient contribution allowance can lead to financial risks, especially when claims submitted exceed predictions. This research aims to develop a contribution allowance calculation model using De Moivre's Law in the Canadian method, compare the results with calculations without using De Moivre's Law, and assess the financial implications for insurance companies. Data was taken from the Indonesian Mortality Table IV and processed using Microsoft Excel. The research results show that the Canadian method without De Moivre's Law produces a greater contribution allowance value in the early years, which provides financial benefits for the company.

Abstract

Analysis of BPJS Health from a sharia insurance perspective is an important topic in studying the effectiveness of the health system in Indonesia. This research aims to understand the extent to which the implementation of BPJS Health can be aligned with sharia insurance principles, as well as its impact on public health services. The analysis method includes literature studies related to sharia insurance principles and evaluation of BPJS Health's performance in providing health protection for participants. The results of the analysis show that although BPJS Health has succeeded in providing wider access to health for the Indonesian people, there are still several aspects that are not in line with sharia insurance principles. Some of these include fund management, payment mechanisms, and uncertainty of benefits for participants. This study provides insight into the importance of harmonization between the national health insurance system and sharia values. The implication of this analysis is the need for reform in the structure and operations of BPJS Health to pay more attention to sharia principles in order to increase the effectiveness, fairness and sustainability of the national health system. Further research could focus on implementation strategies that are more in line with sharia insurance principles to improve the health system as a whole.

Abstract

Sharia insurance is one of the sharia financial products chosen by the public, especially the millennial generation who are Muslim. This is because there is awareness regarding insurance that does not contain usury, gharar and maisir, so sharia insurance is chosen because it is guided by sharia principles. Basically, the millennial generation in Bengkalis is interested in using sharia insurance products. However, there are many reasons why this desire is not realized, one of which is because the number of sharia insurance agents or companies in Bengkalis is very small. This research was conducted using descriptive qualitative methods with data collection tools in the form of interviews and literature studies. The research results show that the millennial generation, especially those who adhere to the Islamic religion, are interested in using sharia insurance products. However, in Bengkalis it is still very rare to find sharia insurance companies or agents so that the desire of the millennial generation to use sharia insurance cannot be realized optimally. There are several factors that can influence the millennial generation's interest in using sharia insurance, including religiosity (religion), promotional factors, social factors, personal factors, financial literacy factors, and income factors. The author also provides advice to the parties concerned, especially on Bengkalis Island, to provide outreach to the millennial generation regarding sharia insurance products and expand the target market by increasing the number of sharia insurance companies or agents to accommodate the interests of the millennial generation in Bengkalis towards sharia insurance products.
