This journal publishes articles on community service and empowerment results that are problem-solving, comprehensive, meaningful, and sustainable, with clear goals. Various community service and empowerment activities must have novelty (have innovation and creativity), so that they do not just replicate the same activities in different places, have measurable results and impacts on society, and support the achievement of the goals set forth in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). SDGs are a global action plan agreed by world leaders, to end poverty, reduce inequality and protect the environment. The SDGs contain 17 Goals and 169 Targets, so that each article must be linked to these goals and targets (as stated in the contribution statement).

Abstract

BUMDes as a commercial organization established by the village government initiative based on the principles of deliberation, collaboration, community participation, transparency, empowerment, accountability, and sustainability. This study aims to analyze the roles and obstacles faced and describe the strategies of BUMDes managers in improving the development of Business Units in BUMDes Restu Ibu in Ngambon Village, Bojonegoro Regency. The data analysis method used consists of three flows consisting of data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing or verification. The results of the study show that BUMDes Blessing Ibu Ibu Ngambon Village in empowering the community still lacks community participation in advancing business units managed by BUMDes, lack of socialization related to BUMDes business units and institutional management which is still very poorly run. BUMDes management strategies in an effort to empower the community's economy through planning, organizing, mobilizing, and supervising activities. Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) Restu Ibu is advised to encourage other members to work harder and the role of quality human resources to improve the quality of BUMDes in a more professional direction.

Abstract

This activity aimed to enhance high school students' knowledge of reproductive health through counseling using lectures and booklet distribution. The program was conducted at a high school in Malang City, involving 45 eleventh-grade students. The methods used included a pre-test, lecture, booklet distribution, and a post-test. The analysis results showed a significant increase in students' knowledge of reproductive health after the intervention, with the pre-test score rising from 24.13±1.74 to a post-test score of 28.64±0.77 (p=0.000). This counseling session successfully raised adolescents' awareness and knowledge of reproductive health, helping prevent issues such as sexually transmitted infections and early pregnancies. The use of booklets proved to be an effective medium for delivering accurate and comprehensive information on reproductive health.

Abstract

Development of Village-owned enterprises Business Strategy in South Misool, Raja Ampat Towards Village Economic Independence. Community service focuses on improving knowledge and business management skills for BUMDes managers. The purpose of community service is to encourage village economic independence, by creating a business strategy for Village-owned enterprises (BUMDes) in South Misool, Raja Ampat. The problems that occur include lack of management knowledge, difficulty in obtaining funds, and lack of marketing strategies. The implementation of community service to improve knowledge in Village-owned enterprises in South Misool, Raja Ampat is in the form of socialization and training using lecture, discussion and demonstration methods. The results of the Community Service obtained include: 1) The community knows how or models to develop coastal community-based businesses, 2) The community is able to implement marketing via social media or the internet, 3) The community through BUMDes is able to collaborate with the government and stakeholders in developing businesses in BUMDes in Kampung Misol Raja Ampat. This is a hope for village economic independence through increasing the capacity of BUMDes, increasing access to markets, and increasing the effectiveness of business management. One of the effects is increasing the welfare of village communities in South Misool and the creation of new jobs, which encourages economic growth.

Abstract

Many Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the South Cipinang Besar Flats, East Jakarta, face challenges in managing bookkeeping due to limited knowledge and lack of access to adequate recording tools. As a result, they often struggle with financial bookkeeping, business planning, and applying for financial assistance or loans. This community service activity aimed to provide training on basic bookkeeping for MSMEs to help them understand how to record transactions and gain broader insights into financial management. The training was conducted in one day and received a positive response and high enthusiasm from participants. The results showed an improvement in basic accounting knowledge, increased motivation to record purchase and sales transactions, the ability to calculate the cost of goods sold, and a better understanding of bookkeeping relevant to their business needs. Participants felt supported by the training, which helped them manage their finances more effectively. The ability to maintain proper bookkeeping is also expected to support MSMEs in preparing documents for loan applications and accessing funding opportunities in the future. For sustainability, further mentoring is needed to help MSME actors continue developing their skills, knowledge, and creativity in managing business finances.

Abstract

Marketing training based on phygital 6.0 marketing for students in the ambassador of business edupreneur is a marketing 6.0 training model (phygital) is designed to provide an in-depth understanding of the world of digital business and entrepreneurial marketing for students in the Faculty of Education and Business. Phygital Marketing combines elements of physical marketing (offline) and digital marketing (online) to create a holistic experience for consumers. The participants involved were 50 students from the Faculty of Economics and Business Education (FPEB) at the Indonesian Education University who took part in The Ambassador of Business Edupreneur activities. The CLEAR model was chosen because it offers a flexible and adaptable framework for coaching sessions, making it suitable for a variety of contexts, including personal, professional, and business development. The program brought about significant improvements in how educational entrepreneurs approach marketing and business development in a digitally integrated world. One of the key improvements was the participants' enhanced understanding of Phygital 6.0 concepts. Edupreneurs gained a deeper comprehension of how to effectively blend physical and digital marketing strategies to create a seamless customer experience. This understanding allowed them to rethink their marketing approaches, focusing on integrating emerging technologies like augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and artificial intelligence (AI) through social media and e-commerce platforms into their educational business offerings. By doing so, they could offer more engaging, personalized, and interactive experiences for their learners, which in turn increased the value and reach of their products and services.

Abstract

This community service projects play a crucial role in addressing local economic challenges and fostering sustainable development. By focusing on agricultural enterprises, these projects can enhance productivity and improve livelihoods in rural areas, contributing to broader economic and social goals. UMKM Sri Rejeki, a fried shallot enterprise in Kedung Dalem Village, Probolinggo, faced significant challenges including declining shallot yields, reliance on labor-intensive manual processing methods, and lack of technological innovation. These issues negatively impacted production efficiency, product quality, and overall market competitiveness. This project aimed to strengthen the local economy and support UMKM Sri Rejeki by providing advanced technological solutions and training to improve production processes. The goal was to enhance efficiency, product quality, and sustainability in the shallot processing industry. The methodology encompassed direct implementation, hands-on training, and continuous mentoring. The introduction of automated machinery significantly increased production efficiency and product consistency while reducing labor costs. The training program successfully equipped operators with the necessary skills for effective machinery use and maintenance. Additionally, educational efforts on sustainable cultivation practices led to improved crop quality and reduced environmental impact. The project’s outcomes have substantial implications for the local agricultural economy. Enhanced production capabilities and sustainable practices contribute to the economic empowerment of small enterprises and promote long-term viability. By disseminating results and best practices, the project encourages broader adoption of innovative technologies and sustainable farming methods, fostering regional economic development and resilience.

Abstract

Digital assessment also known as digital evaluation is the process of collecting, analyzing, and reporting data from research using digital technology or special research tools. DIGASS is a website application that can be accessed anywhere and is used to assess STEM-based students before being tested on students. The method of solving the problem is through training and mentoring in creating STEM-based digital assessment instruments or DIGASS applications. This training was attended by 8 teachers of SD Negeri 1 Pringtulis. The training and mentoring materials include: (1) Introduction to STEM-based digital assessment applications, (2) Various methods that can be used in digital assessment, (3) How to create digital assessment instruments, (4) Testing assessment instruments. This training and mentoring succeeded in increasing the knowledge and skills of SDN 1 Pringtulis teachers in creating STEM-based digital assessment instruments. This training and mentoring succeeded in helping improve the competence and literacy of digital teachers in creating digital assessment instruments through the DIGASS application. So that later teachers can apply digital assessment in classroom learning. Teachers can also train students to be proficient in utilizing technology.

Abstract

The Ali Bin Abi Thalib Mosque is a mosque that stands as a form of awareness of the Muhammadiyah organization in empowering the community. The primary problem lies in the environmentally unfriendly practices of its non-formal educational institutions. to enhance the partners' skills in rainwater harvesting and waste management so that the mosque has an environmentally friendly nuance. Participants are 20 young mosque guards. The Implementation program includes strengthening character education and environmental care movements and rainwater management for mosque guards and teenagers. These community service activities include: preparation, implementation, application of science and technology, and evaluation. This community service resulted in an increased sense of environmental responsibility among the mosque caretakers and teenagers.

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence, English Learning, and Health: Knowledge Optimization, Opportunities, and Challenges for Students. The presence of Artificial Intelligence has brought changes in various fields including healthcare. However, the integration between AI, English language learning and health has not been maximized properly. Thus, this community service activity aims to optimize information about the knowledge, opportunities, and challenges of using AI in the fields of English and health. This community service activity was carried out using the Participatory Action Research method involving 128 students of Universitas Muhammadiyah Banjarmasin. There were 26 students who voluntarily answered the questionnaire before and after the activity. The results of the activity showed that there was an increase in students' understanding of the use of AI in the field of English learning and health. They see the opportunities that AI brings to their current and future healthcare and learning. On the other hand, they realize the challenges faced and know what to do to overcome them. Thus, the education through community service achieved the objectives for which it was designed.

Abstract

Effectiveness of Basic Science Material Booklet to Improve Science Literacy for Indonesian Students in Malaysian Learning Studio. Science literacy is a skill necessary in the 21st century. However, at Sanggar Belajar managed by the Indonesian Community Organization (PERMAI) in Penang, Malaysia, teaching to train science literacy for elementary school students is still limited in terms of media and learning models. Therefore, this community service held on August 3rd 2024 was aimed to improve science literacy by of elementary learners at Sanggar Belajar Permai, Penang, Malaysia by enriching science materials using basic science booklets developed. The methods used was pre-implementation to develop booklet and test instrument, implementation of booklet, and evaluation. The learning outcome and science literacy skills was evaluated based on knowledge test. The results showed an increase in the learning outcome elementary school students at Sanggar Belajar Permai after learning using basic science booklets. Science literacy skills showed effective or very affective categories in almost all indicator. This indicates that the community service has been effective
