<![CDATA[The purpose of this study was to find out the difficulties experienced by students in solving fractional operations problems in addition and subtraction of fractions. This research was carried out at SMP Negeri 6 Lasalimu Selatan, Lasalimu Selatan District, Buton Regency with the sample of this research being all class VII students of SMP Negeri 6 Lasalimu Selatan, totaling 32 students using a descriptive method whose main concern was the results of students' mathematics tests on the subject of fractional operations. From the results of the analysis and discussion in this study, it can be concluded that the difficulties faced by the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 6 Lasalimu Selatan in solving fractional operations problems are the difficulties of concepts, principles, and skills. Concept difficulty with 17 errors and a large percentage of about 13.08%, principle difficulty with 24 errors and a large percentage of about 18.46%, and skill difficulty with 59 errors and a large percentage of about 45.38%. Therefore, it is necessary to emphasize to students about the concepts, principles, and skills used in fractional arithmetic operations (especially the operation of adding and subtracting fractions) by re-explaining problems that students do not understand and giving relevant assignments with these difficulties.]]>

<![CDATA[Objective of this research was to analysis and to describe the level of validity of the test madeby Mathematics teacher according to the Classical Test Theory at the Junior High School Level in Baubau City. This Research was a descriptive quantitative research. The subjects of this research were all multiple-choice tests made by the teacher for the final even-semester test for class VIII students in the 2020/2021 academic year in the field of mathematics subject at 7 state Junior High School in Baubau City. The Instruments in this research were student answer sheets, answer keys and recapitulation of student criteria at grade VIII. Data collection techiques used documentation techiques. Analysis of the data used was using the SPSS Statistic application version 26. Based on the results of the research, it could be concluded that, the results of the analysis of the validity of the test made by the teacher at SMP Negeri 1 Baubau of 0.684 which meant the validity was in the fairly good category, SMP Negeri 3 Baubau was 0.770 which meant the validity was in the good category, SMP Negeri 5 Baubau was 0.491 which meant the validity was in the good enough category, SMP Negeri 7 Baubau of 0.404 which meant the validity was included in the category of good enough, SMP Negeri 9 Baubau of 0.439 which meant the validity was in the category of good enough, SMP Negeri 11 Baubau of 0.434 which meant the validity was in the category of good enough, SMP Negeri 17 Baubau was 0.611 which meant that the validity was categorized as good enough. So that the validity of the test made by the teacher in the field of Mathematics Subject according to the Classical Test Theory at the Junior High level in Baubau City was 0.547 with the category of good enough.]]>

<![CDATA[The problem in this research was whether creative thinking was effective reviewed from the mathematics connection in solving problem at SMP Negeri 7 Buton Tengah. The objective of this research was to know the effectiveness of students’ creative thinking reviewed from the mathematics connection in solving problem at SMP Negeri 7 Buton Tengah. This research was experimentalresearch. Population in this research was all grade VIII SMP Negeri 7 Buton Tengah. Sample in this research was taken by using random sampling technique with 44 students consisted of class VIII A as experimental class and VIII B as control class in which each classes consisted of 22 students. Instrument used in this research was test. Research outcome obtained showed that: (1) the result of students’ mean score in pre-test in experimental class was 66.59, while in control class was 62.27. (2) the result of students’ mean score in post-test in experimental class was 80.45, while in control class was 70.68. From hypothesis test result by using t-test, obtained t-count = 3.403 and significant value p = 0.039. Therefore, it could be concluded that students’ creative thinking reviewed from the mathematics connection in solving problem was effective at grade VIII in SMP Negeri 7 Buton Tengah.]]>

<![CDATA[Problem in this research was wheteher the use of learning model o thematics effective in learning math topic of counting operation of multiplication and subtraction at grade III of SD Negeri 1 Kambowa. Objective in this research was to find out the effectiveness of learning model of thematic in learning math topic of counting operation of multiplication and subtraction. This research used quantitative approach with quasi experimental design. Population in this research was all student at grade III of SD Negeri 1 Kambowa which consisted of two classes IIIA and IIIB with the number of students was 58. Data in this research were obtained using test of math subject. Result of the research obtained: 1) mean score of learning achievement of math at experimental class before research conducted was 68,96; 2) mean score of learning math at experimental class after being taught by thematic learning model as 86,03; 3) mean score of learning math at control class before research conducted was 65,17; 4) mean score of learning math at control class after being taught by direct learning model was 77. Based on those mean score of learning math and considering the inferential result by using t-test, they indicated that learning model of thematic is more effective than direct learning on topic of counting operation of multiplication and subtraction at grade III students of SD Negeri 1 Kambowa]]>

<![CDATA[The formulation of the problem in this study, Is there a positive and significant effect on the use of the Napier rod props on the mathematics learning achievement of 4th grade students of SD Negeri 2 Bataraguru? The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using Napier rods teaching aids on student achievement at SD Negeri 2 Bataraguru. This research is a quantitative study using a quasi-experimental method. The research data were analyzed using the average difference test, but previously a descriptive analysis of inferential analysis was carried out which consisted of a prerequisite test, namely the normality test and the homogeneity test. Based on the results of the descriptive analysis, the test score for the experimental class was 76.50, and the average test score was 52.00 for the control class and based on the results of inferential analysis by looking at the normality test, the significant value of the test results in the experimental class was 0.134 and the significant value of the class test. control is 0.200, while the homogeneity test in both classes of student test results shows a significant value of 0.786> 0.005, so it can be said that the two classes are homogeneous. By using the t-test, the significant value is 0.000 <0.05, which means that H0 is rejected. So it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant effect on the use of Napier rods teaching aids on mathematics learning achievement of 4th grade students of SD Negeri 2 Bataraguru.]]>

<![CDATA[Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui bahwa pendekatan problem posing efektif dalam pembelajaran matematika ditinjau dari kemampuan pemecahan masalah dalam kepercayaan diri siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 8 Baubau. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen, yang dilakukan pada siswa kelas VIIA sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VIIB sebagai kelas kontrol di SMP Negeri 8 Baubau, semester 1 tahun ajaran 2018/2019. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan instrumen penelitian berupa tes, untuk mengukur kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial dan uji hipotesis dalam bentuk uji t. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh: (1) rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada tes awal kelas eksperimen sebesar 66,07; (2) rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada tes awal kelas kontrol sebesar 62,86; (3) rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada tes akhir kelas eksperimen sebesar 81,07; (4) rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada tes akhir kelas kontrol sebesar 71,25; (5) berdasarkan hasil pengujian hipotesis dengan uji t diperoleh nilai thitung = 3,372 dan nilai singnifikan p = 0,002. Sehingga model pembelajaran problem posing efektif terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa.]]>

<![CDATA[The objective in this research was to know there is or not an effect of problem based learning toword the ability in logical reasoning and mathematical communication of the student in SMP Negeri 9 Buton Tengah, Mawasangka Timur Subdistrict, Buton Tengah Regency. This research was quantitative research and using quasi experimental. Population in this research was grade VIII SMP Negeri 9 Buton Tengah conof 72 student. Sampel in this research was grade VIII1 with 36 student and grade VIII2 consisted of 36 students. The Technicque used in taking the sample was random sampling. While the instrument used was test. Data analysis techniques used in this research ware descriptive and inferential analysis. Based on the calculation by using independent samples t-test obtained the score that tcount as 1.013. for the score of the ttabel at the level of significance 0,05 (5%) and db = 70 that was 2.000. based on the score tcount >ttabel , then the hypotesis of the research was accepted. So that, it could be concluded that problem based learning had a significant effect toward the ability in logical reasoning and matematical communication of the student at grade VIII SMP Negeri 9 Buton Tengah.]]>

<![CDATA[The aim of this research is to find out the differences in student achievement who are taught by using the Problem Solving method and the Conceptual Understanding Procedures (CUPs) method for the seventh grade students of SMPN 14 Buton Tengah. This research is a quantitative quasi-experimental method. The population of this study were all seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 14 Buton Tengah for the academic year 2021/2022 which consisted of two classes, namely 46 students. The sampling technique used was saturated sampling technique, where all members of the population were used as samples. The data collection in this research is the giving of students’ mathematics achievement tests to both classes after all learning subjects are completed, with problem solving methods and Conceptual Understanding Procedures (CUPs) methods. The data analysis technique in this study used descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of the descriptive analysis of the mathematics learning achievement of the experimental class I students obtained an average value of 83.91 and the average mathematics learning achievement of the experimental class II students was 75.43. Data processing in inferential statistics with t-test obtained the value of tcount = 2.120 with df = 44 sig. (2-tailed) at 0.040 < (0.05) so that it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the mathematics learning achievement of students who are taught using problem solving methods and the method of Conceptual Understanding Procedures (CUPs) in class VII students of SMP Negeri 14 Buton Tengah.]]>

<![CDATA[This research is a qualitative research with a quasi-descriptive method. The population in this study were students of class VIII SMP Negeri 33 Buton Tengah, which consisted of 1 class of 24 students. The instruments used in this study were achievement tests and interviews. The research results obtained were the types of errors made by students when solving word problems on a system of two-variable linear equations based on Newman's criteria, for students who made the fewest mistakes including: errors in understanding the problem, transformation errors, and errors in writing answers. For students who are making mistakes include: misunderstanding the problem, transformation errors, process skills errors, and answer writing errors. For students who make the most mistakes include: reading errors, understanding problem errors, transformation errors, process skill errors, and answer writing errors. The causes of reading errors include students not being able to interpret the meaning of each word in the problem correctly. what is known and asked and lack of understanding of the meaning of the question transformation error includes students not writing down the mathematical model of the problem and not being able to make an appropriate mathematical model process skills error includes students who are less skilled in performing calculations and do not carry out the completion process correctly answer writing errors include no make conclusions, do not precisely determine and write down the final results of the settlement.]]>

<![CDATA[The formulation of the problem in this study was is there a relationship between learning styles and mathematics learning achievement of clas VIII MTs Negeri 1 Baubau students? The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between learning style and mathematics achievement in clas VIII MTs Negeri 1 Baubau. This study used ex post facto research with quantitative methods. The population in this study were all class VIII students of MTs Negeri 1 Baubau for the Academic Year 2021/2022 which consisted of 7 study groups, namely 239 students. The sampling technique used random sampling technique, taken at least 36% of the entire sample and taken as many as 86 students. The data collection in this study is in the form of a questionnaire on learning styles and students’ learning achievement in mathematics obtained from the grade VIII student report cards of MTs Negeri 1 Baubau in the even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. The data analysis used to test the hypothesis were simple regression and correlation analysis. Bsed on the results of the analysis using simple regression, the linear regression equation was obtained: Y = 61,937 + 0,237X, with a t value of 3.732, significant at 0.000 <0.05. this has shown that is accepted or is rejected, which means that there is a positive relationship between learning style and mathematics achievement for clas VIII MTs Negeri 1 Baubau.]]>
