Abstract

Stock market volatility is a crucial indicator for risk assessment and investment decision-making, particularly for the S&P 500 index as a proxy for global financial markets. This study aims to forecast S&P 500 volatility by integrating macroeconomic and technical indicators using an ensemble approach. Daily data from March 18, 2015 to January 8, 2026 are employed. The input variables include macroeconomic indicators such as the Federal Funds Rate, Consumer Price Index, US Dollar Index, crude oil prices, and the Volatility Index (VIX), as well as technical indicators including log returns, realized volatility, moving averages, Relative Strength Index, and Moving Average Convergence Divergence. Realized volatility is computed using a 21-day rolling window and annualized. The proposed framework combines Vector Autoregression, Long Short-Term Memory networks, and XGBoost within an ensemble scheme. Empirical results indicate that the ensemble model produces more stable forecasts and outperforms classical econometric models. These findings highlight the effectiveness of combining macroeconomic and technical information for volatility forecasting and stock market risk management.

Abstract

Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) are critical components in electronic devices, requiring high precision during manufacturing to ensure optimal circuit functionality. The etching process in PCB fabrication is prone to copper track defects, particularly in liquid transfer techniques, which are susceptible to poor ink adhesion that leads to wrinkled, widened, or broken tracks. To support fast and accurate quality inspection, this study implements YOLOv12 to classify the condition of PCBs post-etching. The dataset consists of 650 PCB images with a resolution of 640 × 640 pixels (200 non-defective and 450 defective PCB images). This research evaluates the performance of four optimizers (Adam, AdamW, SGD, and RMSProp) and analyzes the impact of applying the Synthetic Minority Over-sampling Technique (SMOTE) to address class imbalance. Experimental results demonstrate that without SMOTE, RMSProp achieved the highest overall performance with an accuracy of 93.846% and an F1-Score of 93.635%. However, applying SMOTE significantly boosted the performance of the Adam optimizer, attaining the highest overall accuracy of 95.385% and an F1-Score of 95.415%.

Abstract

Advancements in information technology are encouraging Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to utilize digital applications to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency. A common challenge faced by MSMEs is manual inventory management, which leaves them vulnerable to recording errors, data loss, delayed reporting, and discrepancies between recorded stock data and actual physical inventory. This issue also affects Toko Murni, an MSME engaged in the sale of daily necessities. This study aims to design a web-based inventory application to computerize the management of incoming goods, outgoing goods, and overall inventory levels. The system development method employed is the Prototyping model; this allows the design process to be driven by user needs through stages comprising communication, quick planning, quick design, prototype construction, and delivery, evaluation, and feedback. The designed application offers integrated features for managing product data, recording stock transactions, and generating inventory reports. The study results in a web-based inventory application capable of streamlining stock recording and monitoring in an integrated, real-time manner. The application is expected to improve data accuracy, accelerate information retrieval and report generation, reduce the risk of data loss, and minimize recording errors, thereby supporting more effective and efficient inventory management for Toko Murni.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology heavily encourages modern business actors to proactively utilize digital technology to effectively support various daily operational activities, including sales transactions. Currently, Toko Prima Nusantara still conducts its routine transactions and records data manually, which leads to various crucial operational obstacles such as recording errors, ineffective data management, and a highly time-consuming financial reporting process. Therefore, an integrated digital application is urgently required to help manage transactions much more quickly and efficiently. This academic study specifically aims to design an interactive, web-based cashier application for Toko Prima Nusantara by applying the reliable prototype development method. The designed application is systematically focused on assisting store personnel in managing product databases, sales transactions, real-time inventory stock recording, and automated sales reporting. In addition, the system fully supports modern non-cash payment recording, including the seamless integration of QRIS as one of the preferred payment methods for customers today. The comprehensive results of testing and evaluation clearly indicate that the developed web-based cashier application has proven capable of significantly accelerating the transaction process, minimizing recording errors, and simplifying inventory management. Thus, this digital system implementation is expected to optimize operational efficiency and enhance overall customer satisfaction amid tight business competition.

Abstract

Waste management at TPS-3R still faces several problems: citizen reports are not centralized, access to waste-sorting education is limited, and report verification is carried out manually by administrators. This study aims to design and build Smart Waste Report, a mobile and web-based waste reporting and monitoring information system for TPS-3R Brama Muda. The system was developed using the waterfall model, which consists of requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and evaluation. It comprises a Flutter-based mobile application for citizens, a Laravel REST API backend with Laravel Sanctum authentication, a MySQL database, and a native PHP web admin application. Black box testing of seven main feature scenarios shows that all scenarios were successful, giving a success rate of 100%. Citizens can submit reports with a photo, location, category, and description, while administrators can verify reports as pending, verified, or rejected. The monitoring calculation on trial data shows that report data can be processed into percentages of report status and waste category, the user participation rate, and the average number of reports per active user. Direct testing with residents and managers, statistical visualization, and map integration are recommended.
