Abstract

This study aims to determine the difference between the motivation of learning Arabic experimental class (which uses the kahoot application) and the control class (not using the kahoot application) in class X MAN 4 Kebumen. This research is a quasi experimental research. The research sample was taken by purposive sampling technique and class X IPA 1 was taken as a control group and class X IPA 2 as an experimental group. Data collection is done by using a questionnaire, observation and documentation. The instrument validity test was performed using the product moment correlation formula. Reliability test using the Cronbach Alpha formula. Data analysis was performed with prerequisite test analysis and hypothesis testing. The results showed that there were significant differences between the motivation of learning Arabic in the control class and the experimental class. This is indicated by the significance value in the t test of 0.018 <0.05. The average post-test of the experimental class is higher than the average of the post-test of the control class (98,735> 92,363). Keywords: Kahoot Application, Motivation, Arabic Learning

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the application of the Yanbu’a method in improving the reading ability of the Qur’an in class V students at MI Al-Muhsin 1 Krapyak Wetan Bantul Yogyakarta. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with data collection using interview, observation, and documentation techniques. Data analysis techniques with data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusion. The results of this study namely, in the beginning the method of learning the Qur’an at MI Al-Muhsin 1 used the method of Qiro’ati. Then switch to using the Yanbu’a method for some consideration. The implementation of learning the Qur’an using the method of Yanbu’a implemented as learning in general opening activities, core activities, and closing activities. As for the evaluation of learning done every day and every volume increase. In the implementation of learning the Qur’an using the methods of Yanbu’a. there are several supporting factors, namely a competent teacher, student backgorund, adequate facilities, and support from parents. There are also inhibiting factors in the implementation of the Yanbu’a method namely teacher delay, the attitude of students, parents who only rely on reading the Qur’an in the madrasa, the absence of Yanbu’a training by madrasa and the absence of evaluation for Yanbu’a instructors. The results of the application of the Yanbu’a method in improving the ability to read the Qur’an students based on student achievement data, 13 students out of 25 students who study using the method of Yanbu’a have reached volume 5, 6, and 7 with a percentage of 52%. Abstract

The strategic position of textbooks in Arabic learning is reflected in its role as a medium in transferring knowledge, ideology, and culture. Therefore giving attention to the primary principles in writing Arabic textbooks is a requirement. The realization of the socio-cultural, psychological, linguistic, and pedagogical basis in Arabic textbooks is not as easy as turning the palm. Many found writing designs that are "perfunctory" so that it has implications for the "infertility" of the strategic role of textbooks. This paper intends to examine Al-‘Arābiyyah Baina Yadaik book comprehensively. At least in the last two decades, this book exists in the treasury of Arabic education in Indonesia. Library research is the method used in this study. While an objective, systemic, and open framework is a procedure in analyzing problems. This study formulates that the design of al-‘Arābiyyah Baina Yadaik book is under the primary principles in writing Arabic textbooks, namely: a) socio-cultural: accommodating aspects of the culture of Arab society and Islam; b) psychological: following the intellectual abilities of learners, pay attention to individual differences, according to the level of language competence of learners, the integration of student books and teachers, and create orientation and norms for students; c) language: accommodating elements of language and language skills, the material is prepared using Arabic Fusha, paying attention to symbols; d) pedagogical: the material in al-‘Arābiyyah Baina Yadaik book has been prepared based on good selection, gradation, presentation and repetition criteria. Abstract

Radicalism has caused damage, resulting in many casualties. Efforts to prevent radicalism are the right choice compared to taking action. Counteracting radicalism through living Qur'an Hadith in schools is one of the prevention efforts. Islamic high school education has become the spearhead of efforts to counteract religious radicalism in the youth segment. Through the Living Qur'an and hadith, it is able to increase Muslim awareness of their religious teachings. Prevention of radicalism in schools is an urgent opportunity to do. This research is a qualitative research which describes the implementation of Living Qu'ran and Hadith in schools. Covers policies, teachers, students and practical field experience students. Vision and mission of schools in schools in warding off radicalism. Data collection techniques using observation, documentation and interviews. Researchers used triangulation as a technique to check the validity of the data. The results showed that the prevention of radicalism was carried out systemically. The involvement of all system components in schools starts from establishing the vision and mission of the school. The school has a vision that is in line with the application of the living Qur'an and Hadith. There is involvement of teachers, students practicing field experiences and the students themselves. Existing activities are morning tadarus, dhuha prayer, dhuhur cult, the installation of al-Qur'an verses and Hadith in the school environment, and social service.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low pedagogical competence of MI Al-Ihsan Sleman teachers in terms of making and using PowerPoint-based learning media. Therefore, this study aims to increase the pedagogical competence of teachers in making and utilizing PowerPoint as a learning medium at MI Al-Ihsan Sleman, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. Researchers used a qualitative approach with a descriptive model in which the explanations presented in this paper were sourced from the results of training conducted by researchers for teachers at MI Al-Ihsan Sleman. Data collection techniques used by researchers through observation, training results questionnaires, and interviews. The results of this study indicate an increase in the ability of teachers to create and use interactive PowerPoint-based learning media after attending two training sessions conducted by researchers. Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih rendahnya kompetensi pedagogik guru MI Al-Ihsan Sleman dalam hal pembuatan dan penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis PowerPoint. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk peningkatan kompetensi pedagogik guru dalam pembuatan dan pemanfaatan PowerPoint sebagai media pembelajaran di MI Al-Ihsan Sleman, terutama di masa pandemi Covid-19. Peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan model deskriptif dimana paparan penjelasan yang disampaikan dalam tulisan ini bersumber dari hasil pelatihan yang dilakukan oleh peneliti kepada guru di MI Al-Ihsan Sleman. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan peneliti melalui observasi, angket hasil pelatihan, dan wawancara. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam membuat dan menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis PowerPoint Interaktif setelah mengikuti dua sesi pelatihan yang dilakukan oleh peneliti.

Abstract

One of the themes contained in Civics subjects is Cultural Diversity. Based on the author's observations there are still many grade IV students of MIN 1 Purworejo who lack enthusiasm and interest in following these lessons. Departing from this background, this study aims to determine differences in the learning interests of students who use pop-up book media with students without the use of media in learning cultural diversity. This study used an experimental model with the design of Nonequivalent Control Group Design involving 36 class IV students. Total sampling or census techniques are applied to determine the number of samples. The instruments used in this study were the observation sheet and questionnaire. Data were collected using a valid and reliable questionnaire, then analyzed using the Independent Samples T-Test. The results showed that there were differences in interest in learning from different treatments where the use of pop-up book media was effective against students' interest in learning on cultural diversity material. Abstrak: Salah satu tema yang dimuat dalam mata pelajaran PPKn adalah tentang Keragaman Budaya. Berdasarkan hasil observasi penulis masih banyak siswa kelas IV MIN 1 Purworejo yang kurang semangat dan minat dalam mengikuti pelajaran tersebut. Berangkat dari latar belakang tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan minat belajar peserta didik yang menggunakan media pop-up book dengan peserta didik tanpa penggunaan media pada pembelajaran keragaman budaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan model eksperimen dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design yang melibatkan 36 peserta didik kelas IV. Teknik sampling total atau sensus diterapkan guna menentukan jumlah sampel. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi dan angket. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan angket yang valid dan reliable, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji Independent Samples T Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan minat belajar dari perlakuan yang berbeda dimana penggunaan media pop-up book efektif terhadap minat belajar peserta didik pada materi keragaman budaya.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the teaching process of Tamrîn Lughoh with a communicative approach in class VII C of MTs Ibnul Qoyyim Putri, what are the obstacles in teaching Tamrîn Lughoh with a communicative approach, and what solutions are made by the teacher to overcome these obstacles. This study used a qualitative approach by involving class VII C students of MTs Ibnul Qoyyim Putri Yogyakarta as research subjects. In data collection, the techniques used are through interviews, observation, and documentation. Then the data were analyzed qualitatively. The results showed that the implementation of Tamrîn Lughoh's teaching in class VII C MTs Ibnul Qoyyim Putri Yogyakarta, in terms of learning objectives, teaching methods and materials used, the material being taught, and evaluations applied were following communicative language teaching, both principles, and characteristics in language teaching with a communicative approach. As for the obstacles faced by teachers, the first is the lack of supporting learning media. The second environment, the third depends on individual learners. Meanwhile, the solution effort is carried out by collaborating with the madrasah to see the needs of the madrasah infrastructure, directing students to manage their study time properly, and motivating the importance of learning foreign languages ​​for their future. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses pengajaran Tamrîn Lughoh dengan pendekatan komunikatif di kelas VII C MTs Ibnul Qoyyim Putri, apa saja kendala dalam pengajaran Tamrîn Lughoh dengan pendekatan komunikatif, dan usaha solutif apa saja yang dilakukan guru untuk mengatasi kendala tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan melibatkan siswa kelas VII C MTs Ibnul Qoyyim Putri Yogyakarta sebagai subyek penelitian. Dalam pengumpulan data, teknik yang digunakan melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Kemudian data dianalisis secara kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pengajaran Tamrîn Lughoh di kelas VII C MTs Ibnul Qoyyim Putri Yogyakarta, dari segi tujuan pembelajaran, metode dan bahan ajar yang digunakan, materi yang diajarkan, dan evaluasi yang diterapkan telah sesuai dengan pengajaran bahasa komunikatif, baik prinsip-prinsip maupun karakteristik dalam pengajaran bahasa dengan pendekatan komunikatif. Adapun kendala yang dihadapi oleh guru, pertama adalah minimnya media pembelajaran yang mendukung. Kedua lingkungan, ketiga bergantung pada individu peserta didik. Sedangkan usaha solutif yang dilakukan dengan menjalin kerjasama pada pihak madrasah untuk melihat kebutuhan infrastruktur madrasah, mengarahkan peserta didik untuk mengatur waktu belajar mereka dengan baik, dan memberikan motivasi akan pentingnya belajar bahasa asing bagi masa depan mereka.

Abstract

The lack of media use during mufradāt learning in grade 4 SD Muhammadiyah Banguntapan was the background for researchers to try out the Secil application media: Learning Arabic + Voice and comic strips. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of learning mufradāt using the Secil application media and comic strip media, and whether or not there is a significant difference between the learning outcomes of the Secil application media user group and the comic strip media. This research is a quantitative study with a comparative research type. This research design used a quasi-experiment. Collecting data using observation, documentation, interviews, and tests. The data analysis technique used the Independent Sample t-Test and the Gain Score test through Microsoft Excel 2016. The results of this study concluded that mufradāt learning with the Secil application media was more effective than comic strip media. Evidenced by the comparison value of the n-gain of the two media is 1.78> 1, which means the effectiveness value of group 1> group 2. Then there is a significant difference between the learning outcomes of the two groups. Based on the results of the Independent Sample t-Test, which shows a significance value of 0.01 <0.05, which means that the application media of Secil: Learning Arabic + Voice is more effective than comic strips in improving mufradāt mastery of 4th-grade students of SD Muhammadiyah Banguntapan. Abstrak: Kurangnya pemanfaatan media saat pembelajaran mufradāt di kelas 4 SD Muhammadiyah Banguntapan melatarbelakangi peneliti untuk mengujicobakan media aplikasi Secil: Belajar Bahasa Arab+Suara dan komik strip. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas pembelajaran mufradāt dengan menggunakan media aplikasi Secil dan media komik strip, dan ada atau tidaknya perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar kelompok pengguna media aplikasi Secil dengan media komik strip. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian komparatif. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan quasi experiment. Pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, dokumentasi, wawancara dan test. Adapun teknik analisis data menggunakan uji Independent Sample t-Test dan Gain Score melalui Microsoft Excel 2016. Hasil dari penelitian ini memperoleh kesimpulan bahwa pembelajaran mufradāt dengan media aplikasi Secil lebih efektif daripada media komik strip. Dibuktikan dengan nilai perbandingan n-gain kedua media ialah 1,78 > 1, yang berarti nilai efektifitas kelompok 1 > kelompok 2. Kemudian terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar kedua kelompok. Didasarkan pada hasil uji Independent Sample t-Test yang menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,01 < 0,05, yang artinya media aplikasi Secil: Belajar Bahasa Arab+Suara lebih efektif daripada komik strip dalam meningkatkan penguasaan mufradāt siswa kelas 4 SD Muhammadiyah Banguntapan.

Abstract

The activeness of students in the process of teaching and learning activities needs attention so that the learning process can produce maximum results. Seeing the inactivity of class VII students of MTs Taruna al-Qur'an Yogyakarta in the Arabic language learning process initiated researchers to conduct experimental research on the use of the mysterious box and card games (KOKAMI) in the Arabic learning process which aims to determine differences in student activity between experimental groups with the control group after the application of KOKAMI media. This type of research is quasi-experimental research (Quasi-Experimental) using a quantitative approach. The research subjects consisted of class VIIA students as the experimental class and class VIIB students as the control class. The data were obtained based on the results of observations, interviews, and questionnaires which were then analyzed quantitatively descriptively using paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test with the help of SPSS16. The results showed that Arabic learning activity increased after the implementation of KOKAMI media. Based on the independent sample t-test, it was obtained a post-experimental value of 0.017 <0.05 and a post-control value of 0.017 <0.05, it can be concluded that there was a significant difference between the students' Arabic learning activeness in the experimental class and the control class. Abstrak: Keaktifan siswa dalam proses kegiatan belajar mengajar perlu mendapat perhatian agar proses pembelajaran dapat membuahkan hasil yang maksimal. Melihat kurang aktifnya siswa kelas VII MTs Taruna al-Qur’an Yogyakarta dalam proses pembelajaran bahasa Arab menginisiasi peneliti dalam melakukan penelitian eksperimen penggunaan media permainan kotak dan kartu misterius (KOKAMI) dalam proses pembelajaran bahasa Arab yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan keaktifan siswa antara kelompok eksperimen dengan kelompok kontrol setelah diterapkannya media KOKAMI. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu (Quasi Experimental) dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subyek penelitian terdiri dari siswa kelas VIIA sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas VIIB sebagai kelas kontrol. Data diperoleh berdasarkan pada hasil observasi, wawancara dan kuesioner yang kemudian dianalisis secara kuntitatif deskriptif menggunakan uji paired sample t-test dan independent sample t-test dengan bantuan SPSS16. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keaktifan belajar bahasa Arab meningkat setelah diterapkannya media KOKAMI. Berdasarkan uji independent sample t-test diperoleh nilai post-eksperimen sebesar 0,017<0,05 dan nilai post-kontrol 0,017<0,05, maka dapat disimpulkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara keaktifan belajar bahasa Arab siswa kelas eksperimen dengan kelas kontrol.

Abstract

It is a necessity when the interaction of teachers and students in the learning process will face various problems and obstacles. This article aims to parse what problems occur in the classroom during the Arabic learning process and to find the right solution so that the problems faced can be resolved. This research is qualitative. Collecting data related to writing this article using interviews and direct observation of research subjects and literature review for about two months the author did an internship or PPL. When the writer did observation or mini research, the writer found several problems when the learning process occurred in the classroom. Starting from students getting rowdy when learning, not paying attention to learning, not being able to answer when asked, and there are many other problems when learning Arabic. This can be used as material for evaluation and collective reflection so that our education will be of more quality and quality. Abstrak: Sebuah keniscayaan ketika interaksi guru dan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran akan menghadapi berbagai persoalan dan kendala. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengurai persoalan-persolan apa saja yang terjadi di dalam kelas pada saat proses pembelajaran bahasa Arab berlangsung dan mencarikan solusi yang tepat sehingga persoalan yang dihadapi dapat terselesaikan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Pengumpulan data terkait penulisan artikel ini menggunakan metode wawancara dan observasi langsung terhadap subjek penelitian serta kajian pustaka selama kurang lebih dua bulan penulis melakukan magang atau PPL. Saat penulis melakukan obeservasi atau mini riset, penulis menemukan beberapa problematika saat terjadi proses pembelajaran di kelas. Mulai dari siswa gaduh saat pembelajaran, tidak memperhatikan pembelajaran, tidak bisa menjawab saat ditanya, dan masih banyak problem lain saat pembelajaran bahasa Arab.
