Abstract

Go Green attitude is very important to minimize global warming impacts. This lifestyle would be more effective if it had been applicated since we were in the early childhood education (PAUD). Whereas children are in the playing phase so that the go green education concept must be educating and entertaining or shortly called edutaining. Edutaining approach in PAUD could be done by using video to persuade children catch the message about go green. Hopefully by using edutaining,the  development of go green character would be attainable. Therefore, teachers in PAUD must be more creative in establishing curriculum for sustainability  education.As a part of this community service project, researchers used PAUD IT Nur Hidayah Surakarta as pilot project in applying edutaining go green curriculum by some detail actions. Firstly, we use  hydroponic installation as the learning media so that children can learn and love plants. Secondly, kids were invited to recycle drink bottles to become media planting. Afterwards, they plant vegetables on their own pot. The next activities were harvesting their plants and cooking them. To expand the edutaining idea, researches have invited 100 PAUD teachers in Surakarta to join training of  edutaining concept to build up  go green curriculum and its applications.Keywords: Global Warming, Go Green, PAUD, Education for Sustainability

Abstract

Sanggar Mutiara Bunda was a community-based rehabilitation for the disabled children to conduct the activities such as therapy and other social events for maximizing the ability of disabled children like Cerebral Palsy (CP), speech therapy for impaired speech disabilities and down syndrome treatment. In these activities, Sanggar Mutiara Bunda also used the concept of parenting in which every parent and family were involved in training and equipped with the knowledge and ability to perform activities of therapies and activities so that they can carry our themselves at home. By working with the health center that provide physicians and other medical personnel checked regularly the disabled children health. This place also carried out the counseling to motivate more advanced and independent. Design dedication to the empowerment of the disabilities included: 1) provides assistance to parents of children with disabilities to perform activities that are helping the family economy, 2) provide psychological counseling for parents of the disabled children, 3) complete the facilities and infrastructure needed in the treatment of children with disabilities.Keywords: Society-based rehabilitation, the disabled, training, counseling

Abstract

Organic wastes disposal without sufficient treatment by both Tani Makmur Association Farmer Groups and Alcohol Industry Small and Medium Enterprises in Ngombakan Village and chemical fertilizer application has indicated paddy soil quality decrease in surrounding area. IbM’s implementation as joint business pioneering trial in their organic wastes based fertilizer production is an effective strategy to solve those problems. Mainly, the activity purpose is to transfer technology of organic fertilizer production method from vinasse, cow dung, rice straw, and paddy soil. Thetechnologywhich be transferred consist ofvinasse pre-treatment, rice straw and paddy soil-based bioactivator production and propagation, organic fertilizer production using double composting method from vinasse, cow dung, and rice straw with rice straw and paddy soil-based bioactivator, and its organic fertilizer products application into rice plant. The techology transfer methods used are giving talks & discussion, demonstration & practice, and accompaniment. Event was attended by 25 participants from Tani Makmur Association Farmer Groups and 6 participants from Ngombakan Alcohol Industry Small and Medium Enterprises. In this activity, given 4 liquid organic composter having capacity 60 L, 10 L of bioactivator (consortium of Azotobacter, phosphate solubilizing bacteria, and sellulolitic bacteria), bioactivator propagation tools, 2 pre-treatment vinasse drums having capacity 200 L, and leaflet for each transfer tecnology topics. Results of activity showed an increased the ability to do vinasse pre-treatment for Ngombakan Alcohol Industry Small and Medium Enterprises, and to propagate bioactivator, to produce organic fertilizers, and to apply its products to their rice plant field for the farmers. Abstract

The quality of human resources will increase with the mastery of science and technology. The school is obliged to provide a forum for developing these competencies, eg extracurricular. Extracurricular field which has been developed is the field of Scientific Work of Youth (KIR). KIR much in demand by students. However, as long as this assistance is only focused on the pattern of writing and scientific writing course content. In fact, there are other indicators that determine, for example: a scientific presentation skills and communicative. Formulation of the problem in this activity is how the application of scientific presentation training to improve competitiveness in scientific writing competition for members of the KIR extracurricular in Semarang? This activity was conducted in SMA Negeri 2 Semarang, Friday, October 21, 2016. The training was attended by 30 participants. The activities carried out by the method of the workshop in the form of materials, modeling, discussion, practice, and assessment. The results of these highly optimized service programs in an understanding of the importance of scientific presentations competence. All participants started practicing continuous scientific presentations. Abstract

KecamatanNgargoyoso is one of the favourite tourism destination in KabupatenKaranganyar. There are many established tourism destination that have been popular among domestic and international tourists, such as Cetho Temple, Sukuh Temple, and Jumog Waterfall. A right development strategy is needed to strengthen KecamatanNgargoyoso as a tourism destination that is positively correlated to the area development policy of Local Government of KabupatenKaranganyar. At this time, tourist villages is intensively developed into cluster management and one of those village is DesaWisataJambuMerah (Guava Tourist Village). Food products based on guava as raw material should be developed to strengthen the image of this Guava Tourist Village. A series of training and mentoring about guava processing in order to produce marketable ‘pangsit’ product was conduct througt this program. The IbM Program gave positive effects to the group of farmers‘CandiMakmur’ that involved in this program as partner. The partner got production capacity increase, product quality increase, product packaging and labelling innovation, and also practiced Good Manufacturing Process throughout the guava processing.Keywords :tourist village, guava food product, pangsit, Ngargoyoso

Abstract

The purposes of community service activity are: (1) raise public awareness toward disaster risk is that have potentially to damage the property of human life and life itself; (2) living in harmony with nature. The partners of this activity  are  a hamlet chief,  youth organization (Karangtaruna),  and group of women (PKK) in  Patalan,  Jetis,  Bantul.  The model of method of devotion that has been conducted are coaching and counseling, mentoring, simulations and providing mitigation equipment.  Detail of activities in order to improvement community of capacity i.e. socialization, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), determine the evacuation route, develop organizational relation, Standard operating procedures (SOP),  First Aid Training and Simulation. Activity of community service was very supported by Local Coping Disaster Board (BPBD) Bantul. The impact of activities are: (1) increasing the awareness, knowledge, skills and capacity for disaster risk management, (2) increasing the role of women in disaster mitigation, (3) the increasing of community preparedness in order to coping  disaster risk, (4) Developing of SOP document ,  Relationship institutional, Voluntary team), (5) opening of access for cooperation with the administering agency disaster Management District level, i.e  BPBD Bantul, (6) Realization of improvement of skill community related with of disaster mitigation, (7) Establishment of module activities, (8) the establishment of the voluntary team hamlet, (9) realization of village disaster preparedness.Keywords : Gender, risk, disaster, capacity, mitigation

Abstract

During this time the gourds farmer groups in the Getasan village, Semarang have constraints in the development of agribusiness gourds from the upstream aspects, on- farm up to downstream. And one of the main problems here is the difficulty in increasing production and the sale value of the gourds produced. Therefore devotion here is doing the processing and marketing technology introduction lunkhead gourds ie processing tools lunkhead gourds, entrepreneurship training and food processing gourds. Activity introduction of post-harvest technology is urgently needed by the farmer groups gourds Gondosuli in increasing production and selling value during the gourds that have a low value. Abstract

Science and technology for society (IbM) is intended for business partners of Ojek coachman gig and pedicab drivers are available in traditional markets Merjosari, Lowokwaru, Malang. The IbM program is aimed to preserve transport people, improve performance coachman gig and pedicab drivers, and enhance the capabilities and employability at a time of family welfare partners. Specific targets to be achieved IbM programs that ease the workload of partners and increase revenue and improve motorcycle taxi transportation service so well that the partner revenue increased. To achieve the objectives and targets of this IbM program, a team of devotees using methods which include socialization, counseling and training motorcycle, helping modification rickshaw ontel be Pedicab, free service motor tricycles, improvement of physical performance rickshaws and carts, fermentation and formula feed concentrate high energy horse, coaching and mentoring efforts. The IbM program results indicate that all the activities responded well by partners coachman gig and a pedicab driver. Performance rickshaws and carts, and the performance of the motorcycle taxi drivers and coachman more attractive, growing customer segment, the knowledge and skills of motorcycle taxi drivers bentor about light treatment increases, the coachman gig have knowledge and skills in making the concentrate feed for his horse. Furthermore, the partner revenue increased as efforts can preserve local culture. The output of this program is the product of horse feed concentrate nutritious and high energy, modif bentor and journal articles. Conclusions from the implementation of the program is to improve the performance IbM bentor, carts, rickshaw drivers so as to increase the number of subscribers and revenues as capital to preserve its business.Keywords:traditional taxi, concentrate, business performance

Abstract

The purpose of this activity are: (1) improve the quality and productivity of UKM through the provision of machine presses for first partners and machine  mixer for second partners; (2) help create tranquility, security and comfort in consuming wet noodle through noodle products that meet the quality requirements SNI 01-2987-1992; Specific target availability noodle products are hygienic and healthy appropriate quality requirements SNI 01-2987-1992.The results of activity are: (1) UKM Mie Pendowo has managed to increase its production through the provision of Machine Presses from 25 kg to 50 kg. It also increases the number of customers from 6 to 8 people. (2) UKM Mie OjoLali has managed to increase its production through the machine to make dough mixer become more effective and efficient. Supply of Machinery Mixer to increase the production of 150 kg / day to 175 kg / day. 3.
