The results of the independent sample t-test stated that the confidence between new students in terms of migrating and not migrating the Psychology Study Program was not different, it was obtained from the significance results (2-tailed) of (0.478) (p> 0.05).

Abstract

Dengue fever is an acute fever disease caused by the dengue virus, and it is one of the health problems in the world because it often raises extraordinary events (KLB) with a high mortality rate. Indonesia is one of the countries with a high enough DBD case and often occurs KLB. Many efforts and preventive programs have been done, but the cases of DBD continue to increase annually. This research aims to explain the correlation of knowledge, customs hanging clothes, and water container with the incidence of DBD in the work area Oesapa Puskesmas Kupang City. This is a quantitative research using the cross-sectional study. The population in this study was 72 people with sampling techniques using the total sampling method. Data analysis used is by univariate analysis and bivariate analysis using the chi-Square test. The results of this research show that the factor that has a relationship with the incidence of DBD is knowledge (ρ = 0.000), the habit of hanging clothes (ρ = 0.000), and the presence of mosquito larva (ρ = 0.001). Communities with low knowledge, poor habits in hanging clothes, and low environmental sanitation can increase the occurrence of environmental DBD cases. The need to increase knowledge in society so that people know, to want, and able to independently prevent the occurrence of DBD in the environment.

Abstract

Kupang City has trained traditional health service program managers in 11 public health centers, but they have not implemented traditional health service programs properly. Implementation of traditional health service programs at the public health center is only limited to collecting data on traditional healers and the Independent Care Group (ASMAN) on the use of TOGA and acupressure that already exist in the community. This study is descriptive qualitative that aims to determine the description of program implementation from the aspects of input, process, and output. This study used a purposive sampling technique and the informants are 11 managers of traditional health service programs at 11 public health centers. The results showed limited funding is one of the reasons for not reaching health service coverage in Kupang City. The traditional health services of the public health center program manager in Kupang City have been trained and are adequate both in terms of the number and quality of human resources. The planning process was carried out starting from the public health center level, then discussed at the Kupang City Health Office level, but not all planning could be accommodated. This condition depicts that traditional health care has a huge potential and needs enough attention as a part of national health development. Many factors deploy the reaching of fund target, trained health workers, and data-based planning which is not fulfilled yet. It is hoped that the health office both in the city and province can provide guidance and supervision of all public health centers.

Abstract

The integrated healthcare center is a form of community-based health effort for monitoring the health and growth of toddlers as a strategy to reduce health problems, especially the toddler mortality rate. Mother’s behavior to visit integrated healthcare center is influenced by various factors. This study aims to analyze the factors related to the visit of children under five. This is an analytical study with a cross-sectional study design. This research was conducted in two integrated healthcare centers in Obesi Village in March 2020. The population of this study is 123 mothers. The sample size in this study was calculated using the Slovin formula obtained 95 mothers. Then sample calculation for each integrated healthcare center was carried out using the proportional simple random sampling formula. The data were collected using questionnaires and then analyzed using the chi-square test with a confidence level of 95% % . The results showed that maternal knowledge (p-value = 1,000), maternal attitude (p-value = 1,000), maternal occupation (p-value = 0,475), attitude of health workers (p-value = 1,000) are not related to the visits of children under five. But integrated healthcare center distance (p-value = 0,012) and husband’s support are related to the visits of children under five 2019 (p-value = 0,019). This study shows that the visits of children under five to integrated healthcare center is influenced by various factors, therefore it is recommended to the community and various related parties to support mothers of children under five in making visits to the integrated healthcare center.
