Abstract

The lack of learning media innovation in the form of technology-integrated e-modules is the background of this research. In addition, the low conceptual understanding of solving math problems in elementary school students needs media renewal in the form of e-modules with a problem-based approach or Problem Based Learning. The objectives achieved in this study were (1) to describe the process of developing a mathematical E-Module based on speed and discharge Problem Based Learning material in Elementary Schools (2) to determine the feasibility of a Mathematical E-Module based on speed and discharge Problem Based Learning material in Elementary Schools. This research includes the type of research and development or Research and Development (R&D) with the 4D development model used in this research but is only limited to 3 stages namely Define, Design, Develop. The data collection method uses validation questionnaires and unstructured interviews. While the data analysis technique used by researchers is qualitative data analysis to describe the product development process and quantitative data to determine product feasibility. The results obtained from this study are in the form of problem-based learning-based mathematical e-module development products on material speed and discharge in elementary schools which go through three stages with the results of the due diligence product assessment by media expert validators, material experts, and linguists getting the category " Very Decent”.

Abstract

This study analyzes the model of stunting toddler height gain and its influencing factors with Bayesian Tobit Quantile Regression (BTQR). The data used in this study are secondary data in the form of height data for stunting toddlers in Solok Regency, West Sumatra in calculations conducted in August 2021 and February 2022 obtained from the Solok Regency Health Office, West Sumatra. After analyzing the height gain data with the BTQR method, it was found that the model at quantile 0.50 was the best model because it produced smaller MAE and RMSE values than other quantiles in estimating parameters with the BTQR method and it was found that the exclusive breastfeeding variable  and the Immunization variable  had a significant effect on the height gain of stunting toddlers

Abstract

The phenomenon of drug abuse is primarily observed within the population characterized by experimental drug use, with a particular emphasis on individuals who are actively employed. Several factors, such as socioeconomic status and peer influence, have been identified as influential contributors in the occurrence of drug misuse. The objective of this study is to ascertain the determinants that impact individuals engaged in drug usage through the application of the Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) technique. The data for this research is derived from internal agencies, which aim to identify the elements that contribute to drug users' susceptibility to addiction and the subsequent development of drug dependency in individuals. The factors included in this study encompass Environment ( ), Family ( ), Economy ( ), Education ( ), and Personality ( ). The utilization of Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) for conducting data analysis methodologies. The AHP method yielded a value of λ=8.927, a CI of 2.65, and a CR of 87.39%. Moreover, during the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) phase, it was determined that the primary determinant of drug abuse is  (environment), exhibiting the highest average score of 0.8321, equivalent to 83.21%, in comparison to other components

Abstract

Inflation is a process of continuous increase in the price of goods or an economic situation that shows a tendency to increase the price level in general. One way to control inflation is to use forecasting. Forecasting is an activity to predict future events. Related to forecasting, the method that can be used in forecasting inflation time series data in Indonesia is the fuzzy time series method of Lee's logic. This study aims to apply Lee's Fuzzy Time Series method in forecasting inflation in Indonesia in the period January 2014 to December 2022. The forecasting results of the method are then measured using MAE and MAPE. In this study, the results of inflation forecasting in Indonesia follow the pattern of actual data. Meanwhile, the forecasting accuracy value obtained a MAE value of 0.0043 and a MAPE value of 11.7%, so that inflation forecasting in Indonesia using the Fuzzy Time Series Lee method based on MAPE criteria is good

Abstract

In nonlinear conservation laws, there is a possibility of intersecting characteristic lines or even regions that are not traversed by characteristic lines. In regions where there are two or more characteristic lines, a gradien catastrophic phenomenon can occur, resulting in the emergence of a breaking time, thus a weak solution of the nonlinear conservation law is considered. Such a weak solution is capable of producing shock wave solutions at the breaking time. Additionally, there are rarefaction wave solutions for regions that do not have characteristics. The construction of shock wave and rarefaction wave solutions can be observed in a case study in traffic flow, specifically before and after a traffic light turns red. Shock waves are observed in the flow of vehicles before the red light, while rarefaction waves occur when the red light changes to green

Abstract

This study aims to describe the mathematical creative thinking process of students according to David Campbell's stages in terms of reflective and impulsive cognitive styles on awakening and congruence material. This study used descriptive qualitative research method. Data collection techniques in this study used MFFT (Matching Familiar Figure Test) tests, creative thinking ability tests, and interviews. The main instruments are the researchers themselves and supporting instruments are MFFT (Matching Familiar Figure Test) test instruments and mathematical creative thinking ability test instruments. The subjects of the study were grade IX students of SMPN 1 Tasikmalaya who met all indicators of mathematical creative thinking ability in each cognitive, reflective and impulsive style and could communicate well. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. Based on the results of the study, conclusions were obtained (1) The creative thinking process of reflective students (S1R): can convey information known and asked about questions orally and in writing, show changes in their facial features, do brooding activities while playing stationery, hair and legs slowly, can choose the way of solving obtained after going through the process of guessing smoothly, can show solutions in two ways and Set his own ideas with a long enough time, equate the completion results in the first and second ways and recalculate the completion steps. (2) The creative thinking process of impulsive students (S11I): can understand the problems contained in the problem in a relatively faster time and can mention what is known and asked orally and communicate that what is written has been through calculations outside the head, pay attention to the sketches drawn and be able to write assumptions from the results of their attention, show silent activities and trial and error, can solve in two different ways even if you make a mistake several times, and only equate the final result in both ways and check the steps of the work. (3) The creative thinking process of impulsive students (S25I): can understand the problems in the problem in a relatively faster time, can mention what is known and asked orally, can do trial and error activities and recall ideas found if they have difficulties, do silent activities while playing stationery and veils worn but still look relaxed, can finish in two different ways, as well as simply equate the final result in both ways and check the pace of the work

Abstract

To summarize the findings of the research on the prediction of electability for potential presidential candidates in the 2024 election using the Markov chain method, the study found the following results: For social media hashtags: Anies Baswedan: 0.404817, Ganjar Pranowo: 0.218493, Prabowo Subianto: 0.158993, Erick Thohir: 0.217697 For Google Trends: Anies Baswedan: 0.473078, Ganjar Pranowo: 0.328017, Prabowo Subianto: 0.128324, Erick Thohir: 0.070581 These results indicate that Anies Baswedan has the highest predicted electability based on both social media hashtags and Google Trends. Ganjar Pranowo ranks second in both categories. However, in terms of social media hashtags, Erick Thohir has a significantly higher electability than Prabowo Subianto, while in Google Trends, Prabowo Subianto has a slightly higher electability than Erick Thohir. It is important to note that these predictions may change over time as more data becomes available. Therefore, continuous calculations using the Markov chain method are necessary to update the predictions of presidential candidates' electability

Abstract

This study aims to enhance students' problem-solving skills and learning outcomes on data presentation and interpretation in the form of pie charts and measures of the center of the data in the single data. This research is a collaborative classroom action research (PTKK). The study employs the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model, conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Salatiga in class VII B with 32 students. The results indicate an improvement in students' problem-solving abilities for each indicator. In cycle I, the student's ability to understand the problem was 36.2 %, which increased by 42.2 % to 78.4 % in cycle II. Furthermore, students' making a plan skill in cycle I was 51.2 %, increasing by 26.9 % to 78.1 % in cycle II. The student's ability to execute the plan increased by 19.6 % from 55.7 % in cycle I to 75.3 % in cycle II. The student's ability to look back and reflect in cycle I was 42.2 %, and in cycle II, it was 75 %, an increase of 32.8 %. The study also showed an improvement in learning outcomes. In cycle I, the classical student mastery level was 40.6 %, with an average learning outcome of 67.2. In contrast, in cycle II, the classical student mastery level was 75 %, with an average learning outcome of 78.2. In this case, the classical student mastery level increased by 34.4 %, with an average student learning outcome increase of 11. Based on these results, the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model can enhance students' problem-solving abilities

Abstract

This article reviews the  symmetry pattern which has  rotational symmetry and translational symmetry along the -axis and -axis. The  symmetry pattern is generated through the implementation of Matlab application using discrete dynamical system simulation, after analysing the requirements and determining the appropriate dynamical function. In this context, each point on the plane serves as the starting point in the iteration of the dynamical system. The colour assigned to each point is determined by the number of iterations performed. The generation of the  symmetry pattern involves three convergence tests, namely the Euclidean Test, the Fractional Distance Test, and the Maximum Distance with Weighted test. Through a variety of dynamic function parameter combinations, a more visually appealing and diverse range of  symmetry patterns is obtained.
