Abstract

This study discusses the low ability to solve mathematical problems in mathematics lessons. The results of the process using the PBL (Problem Based Learning) learning model are the focus of research. This study aims to find out whether the PBL model can have an impact on the mathematical problem solving ability of high school students of class XI Algebraic Function Limit material. Using a quasi-experimental method, this study used a non equivqlen control group design as its research. There were 92 students in the study sample. Pretest and posttest written assessments are used to collect data. This investigation revealed that the results on the findings of the Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney test results displayed a sig value of 0.001<α 0.05 on the use of SPSS. If, Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Thus, the results of the Wilcoxcon test and the Mann Whitney test can be concluded that the PBL teaching approach has an impact on some grade XI high school students in mathematical problem solving ability

Abstract

The importance of mastering mathematical communication skills and independent learning in the 21st century. This research finds out whether learning independence affects mathematical communication skills. This research uses a literature study methodology or Systematic Literature Review (SLR). This research collects data by taking data from literary sources, reading, taking notes, and processing these sources as research material The research analyzed 35 articles that had been accredited in the literature review obtained from Google Scholar, Research Gate, Publish or Perish, Taylor & Francis, Science Direct, and DOAJ. The results of this research are that soft skills can influence hard skills, namely learning independence can influence mathematical communication skills which have an impact on improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Indomaret is a trade mini market that sells retail goods originating from factories and then distributed at retail prices. Indomaret's revenue is obtained from the sale of merchandise according to the price determined by the company. However, in the midst of the onslaught of Covid-19 and the threat of a recession, there is a problem from the sales side, namely Indomaret's revenue has decreased since November 2021 to October 2022. Another problem Indomaret is also facing is how to make the minimarket's income reach the target set by the company and adjust it to the stock of goods which is kept in store. So that efforts are needed to forecast sales results in the future and then determine a strategy that is in accordance with the results of the forecast. This study uses the Double Exponential Smoothing Brown Linear 1 parameter method which aims to predict revenue results in November and December 2022 and determine the best alpha parameter. Obtained the amount of inomaret Hj. Enting in November 2022 is IDR 388,772,979.030 and December 2022 is IDR 367,905,870.938. The parameter that minimizes the error value is alpha 0.4 with a MAPE value of 7.6%.

Abstract

The operational capabilities of a company represent its routine and ordinary activities undertaken to sustain and generate performance. In the manufacturing sector, particularly in pharmaceuticals, there is a greater demand for higher operational capabilities compared to other manufacturing sectors due to the relevance to human health. The pivotal role of dynamic capabilities is purported to significantly impact the enhancement of operational capabilities, both directly and indirectly affecting company performance. This research proposal aims to investigate how dynamic capabilities influence company capabilities and performance, particularly in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry in the Greater Bandung area. The study employs the Grey-Analytical Hierarchy Process (Grey-AHP) method to analyze the impact of dynamic capabilities (Sensing, Seizing, and Reconfiguring) on company performance in the pharmaceutical industry of the Greater Bandung area. Surveys were conducted among respondents from the pharmaceutical industry, revealing that, although dynamic capabilities received a lower ranking compared to operational capabilities, the integration of the Grey-AHP method provides profound insights into their relative influence. Findings indicate that a focus on operational capabilities, particularly through Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and information systems, remains crucial, but dynamic capabilities should not be entirely disregarded to confront market uncertainties and ensure the sustainability of the dynamic pharmaceutical industry

Abstract

Stock is an instrument of the financial market that is very popular among other instruments because it has an attractive yield. The research discusses the prediction of Bank Central Asia shares, named BBCA, using the Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) method. The LSTM model is a very popular deep learning algorithm that is suitable for predicting time-related data, historical data, and sequential data. We configure the LSTM model with the following hyperparameters: number of neurons of 60, batch_size of 64, timesteps of 32, epoch of 12, and dense layer of one unit while the configuration for SVM support vector machine model with Gaussian Radial Basic Function kernel and hyperparameter γ = 0.0001 and c = 1000. BBCA prediction results are quite good when compared to the SVM model with a MAPE of 1.07%.

Abstract

Mathematics is a branch of science whose object of study is abstract in the form of symbols and shapes. The perception that emerged among the public said that only smart students (high learning outcomes) could master mathematics. However, what happens in the field is that the majority of students will experience anxiety when learning mathematics in the low to high category. Anxiety when learning mathematics is commonly called mathematical anxiety. This study used a quantitative approach with experimental method. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of cooperative learning model type Student Facilitator and Eksplaining (SFE) with poster media on students' mathematical anxiety. The population in this study were all students of class X MAN 3 Tulungagung. Two samples were selected by drawing lots. Learning with conventional methods was carried out in the control class, while the cooperative learning model of the Student Facilitator and Explaining (SFE) type with poster media was carried out in the experimental class. The results of data analysis showed that: (1) the average test of students' mathematical representation abilities in the control class was 73.2 while in the experimental class was 78.6; (2) the mathematic anxiety of students who learn using the Student Facilitator and Explaining (SFE) cooperative learning model with poster media is lower than the ability of the mathematical representation of students who learn with conventional methods; and (3) there is an influence of the Student Facilitator and Explaining (SFE) cooperative learning model with poster media on students' mathematical anxiety

Abstract

This research was carried out at CV. Putra Mandiri is a sand producing company with the best quality in East Priangan. The aim of this research is to find out the Break Even Point (BEP) at CV. Putra Mandiri in optimizing Profitability in 2022. The method used to calculate the Break Even Point is using the Equation Method and Graphic Method. Meanwhile, the analysis technique used in Break Even Point is a cost-volume-profit analysis technique, then the cost-volume-profit data obtained in the field is processed using calculations and presented in graphical form. After carrying out analysis in calculating the Break Even Point, it can be seen that CV. Putra Mandiri experienced a Break Even Point when sales reached IDR 19,141,033,708 or 35,391 truck units, so the mathematical equation is Revenue Cost (RC) = 2,105,513,708 Q – 53,193,506,922,400, where Q is the quantity or amount of production

Abstract

The development of technology is very significant in various fields, especially in the field of digital technology. Sentiment analysis of feminism issues on Twitter tends to be significant in understanding public opinion, especially Twitter users. Being a place for people to vent, Twitter spreads the message of those who tweet to a wide audience and it often happens that a tweet becomes an influence on public opinion. Twitter can be a tool to find out public sentiment towards a figure, group, and organization. Feminism is a movement to voice the rights of a human being to be equal regardless of gender. In this study, a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) approach is used to analyze sentiment towards the issue of feminism on Twitter. The data collected from Twitter contains a variety of conversations, opinions, and views on feminism. By building and training a CNN model that is able to process text data and classify sentiment based on each tweet. By applying the CNN model, it aims to identify sentiment patterns towards Twitter users on the issue of feminism, especially the topics of domestic violence and sexual harassment. Where these two topics will be discussed in this research. Another goal is to provide valuable insights for researchers, activists, and policy makers in understanding the dynamics of public opinion on the issue of domestic violence and sexual harassment. The results of this sentiment analysis are expected to make a significant contribution to supporting discussions on social issues on social media

Abstract

Problem-solving ability is one of the important competencies that students must have in order to face challenges in everyday life, besides that high interest in learning is also a determining factor for success in the learning process. This study aims: (1) to find out whether there are differences in the initial ability of experimental and control class students, (2) to find out whether students' problem-solving abilities after using the Think Pair Share learning model using the Nearpod application are better than classes given conventional learning, (3) to find out whether students' learning interest after using the Think Pair Share learning model using the Nearpod application is better than the class that given conventional learning. The method in this study is with quantitative methods that are experimental. The population of this study is all grade X students of SMK Insan Cendekia Kragilan in the odd semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. The sample of this study was 26 X A students as an experimental class and 26 X B students as a control class, so the sample in this study was 52 students. From the calculation results, the Sample t-Test Pretest is obtained, namely the Sig. (2-tailed) Value of 0.163 < 0.05 so that H0 is accepted and H1 is rejected. The posttest t-Test sample is a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05 so that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. So it was concluded that: (1) There was no difference in the initial ability of experimental class and control class students (2) The ability to solve problems in Trigonometric material using the Think Pair Share (TPS) Learning Model using the Nearpod application was better than the ability to solve problems using conventional learning models. (2) Student learning interest in Trigonometry material using the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model using the Nearpod application is better than student learning interest using conventional learning models

Abstract

Indonesia is the fourth largest coffe producer in the world. One of the centers of coffee cultivation in Indonesia is Central Aceh, whichis located in Gayo Highlands, which cultivates Arabica coffee. The problems that occur at this time raise question from coffee farmer groups about determining the quality of coffee beans to be distributed. The purpose of this research is to determine the quality of the coffee beans that will be distributed by applying the VIKOR method. VIKOR is ranking method using a multi-criteria ranking index based on the proximity of the ideal solution and determining the ranking of the existing samples. There are four alternatives used by Gayo1, Gayo2,Gayo3, and P88. There area six criteria, namely water content, dirt content, seed aroma, seed color, seed size, and pests. After calculating the VIKOR method which show the lowestindex value, namely 0 is Gayo3 as the first rabk, value 0,065 is P88 second rank, value 0,085 is Gayo2 rank thind, and value 1 is for Gayo1
