Abstract

The Air Pollutant Standard Index contains parameters monitored daily, one of which is the critical parameter with the highest pollutant rating among other parameters. The air critical parameters used as dependent variables consist of four categories, namely Carbon Monoxide (????????), Particulate Matter (????????10), Sulfur Dioxide (????????2), and Ozone (????3). In this research, Carbon Monoxide (????????) used as the comparison category and results obtained are variables that affect the Particulate Matter (????????10) category is the air temperature variable with category 0. In the Sulfur Dioxide (????????2) category, the influential variable is wind speed with category 0. And the last category Ozone (????3) influences more independent variables, namely the rainfall variable with category 0, the wind speed type variable with category 0, and air humidity with category 0. The resulting classification accuracy value is quite low at 53%, so it is clear that the classification of the critical parameters of air pollution index is not feasible

Abstract

The Human Development Index (HDI) is one of the efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (TPB) with HDI components including health, education and a decent standard of living. Referring to the Central Statistics Agency, it always increases from 2010 to 2022, but there are still several regions in East Java that have low HDI values. Based on this, it is necessary to carry out analysis using clustering techniques so that we can find out more deeply about the characteristics of each district or city in East Java. The research method used is by collecting data which includes HDI, UHH, RLS, HLS per capita expenditure values, income inequality, HDI, city minimum wage, GRDP, number of poor people, open unemployment rate, population, and labor force participation rate. After obtaining the data, data exploration and cleaning was carried out, principal component analysis (PCA), factor analysis, modeling using K-Means and DBSCAN, and silhouette calculations were carried out. The results show that the K-Means model has 3 clusters. Cluster 1 has a purple color with superior characteristics in all aspects except the HDI value, GRDP, and the number of poor people. Cluster 2 has a green color with less superior characteristics in terms of UHH, RLS, HLS, real per capita expenditure, income inequality, and IPG. And cluster 3 in yellow has superior characteristics in terms of UHH, RLS, HLS, real per capita expenditure, income inequality, and IPG. East Java Province always experiences increasing HDI values, but there are still disparities between one district or city and another as shown by the K-Means silhouette value of 0.43

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the estimation of the scale parameters (θ) of a Pareto distributed survival model with known shape parameters (λ) using the Bayesian Precautionary Loss Function method using the Gamma prior. The data used in this research is secondary data in the form of data on the length of stay for Coronary Heart Disease patients from January 2023 - August 2023 obtained from M. Zein Painan Regional Hospital. Estimation of survival function parameters with the Bayesian Precautionary Loss Function method from the Pareto distribution using Gamma priors obtained  and the value of the survival function with the Bayesian Precautionary Loss Function method calculates the chances of living in cases of Coronary Heart Disease sufferers to be higher. And will be evaluated using the AIC and BIC methods

Abstract

Stunting is one of the national health problems in Indonesia, where children experience growth failure. This study aims to construct a model for the classification of height gain of stunting toddlers in West Sumatra Province using the Bayesian binary quantile regression method. Quantile analysis is used in the Bayesian concept to produce more effective and natural estimates, especially for data that are not normally distributed. In the Bayesian approach, the Asymmetric Laplace Distribution (ALD) is used in determining the likelihood function as the basis for forming the posterior distribution used in the parameter estimation process. Bayesian binary quantile regression is an extension of quantile regression where the scale of the dependent variable used is binary. The research data used is data on 1000 stunting toddlers in West Sumatra Province in August 2021 and February 2022. In this study, it was found that the Bayesian binary quantile regression method at quantile 0.50 was the best conjecture model in classifying the level of height gain of stunting toddlers in West Sumatra Province. The criteria for model goodness are based on the greatest accuracy value. Factors that are significant in influencing the height gain of stunting toddlers in West Sumatra Province are birth weight, exclusive breastfeeding, and immunization

Abstract

Food security is a crucial issue for Indonesia, especially with the increasing threat of climate change. Focusing on rice production, this study analyses the mapping of districts/cities in West Java based on area harvested, rice production, and number of farm households using the Gaussian Mixture Model (GMM). GMM was chosen because it can overcome ambiguous data and has a large variance value. By using GMM, it is expected to find patterns or useful information from rice production data in West Java. Based on the results obtained, it can be seen that the best model is VEV with 5 clusters. Cluster 1 has characteristics of rice area, rice production, and number of farm households that are classified as low. The members of cluster 1 are Bogor, Sukabumi, Bandung, Ciamis, Kuningan, Sumedang, Purwakarta, West Bandung and Pangandaran. The results of this study are expected to help optimise rice production to meet food needs, reduce dependence on rice imports, and ultimately improve food security in Indonesia

Abstract

Batam City is one of the cities in Indonesia which is located in a strategic area on international shipping routes and has a sea area of 3,675 km so it has great potential for exporting fishery products, based on main commodities. Based on data from the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) in 2022, the performance of the export value of Indonesian fishery products during 2022 experienced positive growth of 21.63 percent compared to 2021. In 2021, the export value of Indonesian fishery products reached 1,258 million USD, increasing to 1,530 million USD in 2022. This fact shows that the marine fisheries sector still offers significant opportunities today. However, there are several obstacles that stand in the way of the export process. These obstacles include the low level of technology application, unequal infrastructure development in various fisheries centers, limitations in providing capital, low utilization of Indonesia's marine potential, and the use of fishing systems in the production process which are deemed unable to utilize Indonesia's marine potential optimally. Given this problem, it is interesting to see the forecast for fishery product exports according to the main commodities in the city of Batam. Is there an increase or a decrease? So the aim of this research is to describe the predicted results of the export value of fishery products according to 3 main commodities, namely shellfish, crab and shrimp in Batam City in the next 5 years. This research method is quantitative using the time series method: ARIMA. The research results show that the estimated export of shellfish and crab will decrease from 2023 - 2027. Meanwhile, the estimated export of shrimp will increase from 2023 - 2027

Abstract

Problem solving ability is one of the important goals of learning mathematics, besides that problem-solving ability plays an important role in life. The purpose of this research is to analyze the problem-solving abilities of grade XII students at SMAN 11 Semarang in the application of trigonometric function derivatives. The research method used in this study is the analysis method. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The instrument for collecting data in this study is a mathematical problem-solving ability test. All students in grade XII MIPA 3 were identified for their problem-solving abilities with a problem-solving ability test. The test was conducted on the Absolute Value material. Furthermore, the analysis of all data was carried out with the following steps: data reduction stage, data presentation stage, and conclusion. The results of the study show that the problem-solving abilities of students, viewed from the Polya problem-solving steps, are good

Abstract

This research aims to describe the ability of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Ciamis in solving mathematics problems on SPLDV material based on the self-efficacy category. The research methodology used is descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects in this study were 30 students in class VIII-E of SMP Negeri 1 Ciamis. The data collection technique is a purposive sampling technique which begins with students filling out the self-efficacy questionnaire twice at different times, then filling in the numeracy ability test questions, and after that an interview is conducted. The results of this research are that students who have high self-efficacy will fulfill 3 indicators of numeracy ability and solve questions easily. Students who have moderate self-efficacy will fulfill 3 indicators of numeracy ability but when solving mathematics problems they have obstacles and experience a few errors in using formulas. Students who have low self-efficacy only fulfill 2 indicators of numeracy ability and cannot solve math problems to completion

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the phenomenon of learning loss experienced by Information Systems students in the Linear Algebra course, particularly in understanding the concept of Gauss-Jordan elimination during online lectures. A qualitative research method was employed with a sample of 59 third-semester students. A questionnaire was utilized as the research instrument for data collection. The findings revealed that 33% of the total respondents encountered significant difficulties in understanding the Gauss-Jordan elimination concept during online learning. These results indicate a significant impact of learning loss in the context of online education, which may affect students' understanding and academic performance. The implications of this research highlight the importance of efforts to enhance the effectiveness of online learning, including the development of more interactive and supportive teaching strategies, as well as improving the quality of interaction between instructors and students in the virtual environment. Further research is needed to gain a deeper understanding of the factors influencing learning loss and to develop more effective solutions for addressing the challenges of online learning in the future

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the difference in the average learning outcomes of flat building materials of students taught using Geogebra applications and without Geogebra application Media. This study is an experimental study, with a post-test-only control design. The subjects in this study are Class VIII-A as a media experiment class applied to Geogebra application and VIII-B as a control class without the application of GeoGebra application media, both classes are homogeneous and equal to 20 students. The data of this study are taken from the results of the second post-test class. The mean value of the experimental class posttest is 75.3 and the mean value of the control class posttest is 69.2. The results obtained on the basis of hypothesis tests using a T-test with a significance level of 5% obtained value = 2,396793 > = 1,68595, and then reject . Thus, it can be concluded that the learning outcomes of students applying Geogebra application Media are more than the learning outcomes of students without applying Geogebra application Media
