Abstract

The presence of the Corona virus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic has changed the order in all corners of the world in a very short time. This large-scale change has occurred in the last two years starting from 2019 until now. This has resulted in the world of education experiencing major changes in the teaching and learning process. The learning process during the COVID-19 pandemic (online) is very much different from the previous learning process (face to face). This is a big problem in the world of education. The online learning policy, which was thought to be the solution to this problem, turned out to be just a bridge to break the passion for learning for students. evidenced by the impact felt by students during online learning. The satisfaction of online learning by Prima Indonesia University students can be seen from the results of the keosener (google form) that the researcher has distributed to 501 students. Researchers use data mining to explore important information that is expected to be used as consideration for enforcing the current online learning process. Researchers use the C 4.5 Algorithm method in data mining in order to bring out the impact of online learning. Measurement of satisfaction level is done by calculating the Entropy and Gain of each data that becomes a Decision tree and testing the results using Rapid Miner. The C 4.5 algorithm is very helpful for researchers to find out the impact of online learning carried out during the covid 19 pandemic. From the results of calculations and testing, it shows that there is a decrease in student interest in learning in the online learning process. this concludes that online learning in the pandemic era has a negative impact on students at Prima Indonesia University.

Abstract

Captive portal networks are in great demand because users have privileged authentication in the form of usernames and passwords to enter the LAN network without having to share with other users. However, the captive portal network is difficult to implement redundant connection because it must be in the form of a ring topology and the application of a bridge network. Captive portal is a web page for the authentication process to enter the network where the authentication back end can use radius, kerberos, ldap with the AAA framework. Meanwhile, fault tolerance is a redundant connection mechanism as an alternative path provider if the main path is broken. Here there is a tiered mechanism so that fault tolerance can be implemented into the captive portal network. This study describes the process of designing a captive portal network starting from analyzing, conceptualizing and finally designing the network itself. The final result of this research is 2 pieces of redundancy connection network design to the captive portal framework.

Abstract

The biggest problem faced by printing companies during the Covid-19 pandemic was that the number of orders was unstable and tends to decrease, which had the potential to harm the company. Therefore, various appropriate marketing strategies were needed so that the number of product orders was relatively stable and even increases. The impact was that the company could survive and continued to grow. This study aimed to assist company managers in developing appropriate marketing strategies based on association rules generated from one of the data mining methods, namely the Frequent Pattern Growth (FP-Growth) method. The case study of this research was a printing company where there was no similar research that used a printing company's dataset. This study produced nine association rules that meet a minimum of 25% support and a minimum of 60% confidence, but only two association rules that had a high positive correlation, namely for a custom paper bag and banner products. Therefore, several marketing strategies were suggested that could be used as guidelines for companies in managing sales packages and giving special discounts on a product. The results of this study are expected to trigger an increase in the number of product orders because this study tried to find the right product for consumers and did not try to find the right consumers for a product.

Abstract

Facial recognition is one of the most popular way to authenticate user into a system. This method is preferable considering the tendency of users for using the same password across multiple sites which made the user has already made his own account securities in vulnerable states. Using biometrics might supply solutions to solve this problem and facial recognition is one of the best biometric methods can be apply as a digital account security solution. This study to design a prototype system implementing facial recognition to verify users to measure how accurate these methods are. The method used here is Viola-Jones for face detection, Eigenface and Haar feature for face recognition from the OpenCV. The system was designed in Java. Based on the test results from the system designed, system can recognize user face with 100% accuracy if faces are shot in a well desirable condition. The system is able to recognize the user's face with various expressions including with or without glasses. However, the system has difficulty in recognizing user’s face in facing up, down, sideways position or blocked by accessories or body parts such as hands. After some experiment, it was proven that the system designed is accurate, reliable and safe enough to be implemented to digital authorization process.

Abstract

Digital identifier is a technology used to prove ownership of a work. At this time, the Digital Object Identifier is a form of implementation of the digital identifier used in every scientific work. Not infrequently there are several cases of theft of ownership or copyright of a work, both scientific works, and certain other works. Watermarking is a technique created to protect the ownership of works. Watermarking techniques can be applied to several media such as audio, video, and also documents, one of which is the Portable Document Format document file. In this study, researchers want to build copyright protection for scientific works. Researchers offer research concepts using a Digital Object Identifier which is always installed on scientific papers to be published. The Digital Object Identifier will later become the basic data in building the Quick Response Code. The Digital Object Identifier of each scientific work will not be the same as each other, this will certainly make the Quick Response Code more unique. The results show that the watermarking process in building copyright protection of scientific works can be very successful Quick Response Code can be read and detected properly without experiencing lag time. Quick Response Code readings from several variations of motion are also not very influential, so it can be concluded that distance does not limit the detection of Quick Response Codes. From this research, researchers can deduce that the watermark is performed on the scientific work not only serves as the copyright protection of that scientific paper but can also be an alternative for other researchers to access the scientific work.

Abstract

Animation is a technique to create illusion of motion, which is created by displaying a series of motionless pictures in sequence or using a spine/bones to create motion that looks real. All this time, the process of creating an animation still using traditional technique which requires special skills and take some time to finish a complicated animation which is used in movies or video games. Motion capture is an animation-making technique by tracking every part of body in order to find position and rotation of human’s joints which is generated by the image from the sensor. Motion capture has lots of method, such as marker base technique which use mark to track any motions. Motion capture markerless method that can capture or track motions without using any marks. Motion capture with markerless technique can be done by using RGB-Depth’s camera censor, which is by using Microsoft Kinect V2 with Kinect V2 SDK in order to make Kinect connected with computer, and using Unity Engine, a game engine that has already provided animation timeline and supports any 3D format which contains animation file that can be used in mostly other models which is using humanoid. In order to obtain motion data which will be changed into skeleton joint data, we will use connector OpenNI and 3D Collada model with (.dae) format because Collada is 3D format Open Source which is built using XML-based so that it can easily read and written back into 3D file as an output.
