Abstract

This study aims to known what, how the elite PK-Sejahtera elite and political elite PKSejahteraconvey political messages, manage the political sense of the other party and how heknew it as a political message contained in the persuasive value. Research conducted through aninductive qualitative study of elite PK-Sejahtera, political elite PK-Sejahtera. Data obtained froman informant posing as PK-Sejahtera elites,The results showed that individual background PKS elites, political elites and the PKS regenerationand recruitment process is to determine the performance and impression managementof a politician, the way they give the impression and the sense of a political message, how to displaythe political role and how they communicate the message -political message was differentfrom other politicians. Because all informants, originating campus activists, and none of the informantsin this study had active in other parties. Thus, in managing the impression, fashion is notsomething that is very important attributes that must be optimally packaged, the most important isthe quality of the politician's "Clean and Care" Model tarbiyah conducted by elites PKS in the recruitmentsystem and system construction regeneration already a cadre of reality into reality politicsin the form of impression management. The political image of PKS who had been awakened asa party "Clean and Caring" I managed to make differentiation with other political parties. Symbolicsymbol'clean-caring' people have started asking people even believing not just clean but canclean and repair the damage. So that PKS politicians in applying Goffman Dramaturgy back statingthat the stage must be something different than the front stage, where social events and formaldisplay behavior that is not generally have to be in back stage. But it does not fully apply to PKSpoliticians either front stage or back stage in setting the political scene remains the same ie theparliamentary mission - "Clean and Caring"

Abstract

Institut Français Indonesia Bandung merupakan pusat kebudayaan dan lembaga pendidikan bahasa Prancis di bawah Kedutaan Besar Perancis. Media sosial Instagram sebagai pemasaran digital yang digunakan untuk memberikan informasi tentang kursus bahasa Prancis dan berbagai informasi tentang acara budaya yang akan diadakan. Melalui Instagram, Institut Français Indonesia Bandung memiliki jumlah pengikut dan posting tertinggi dibandingkan dengan lembaga bahasa asing lainnya di Bandung. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui strategi pemasaran digital di media sosial Instagram Institut Français Indonesia Bandung berdasarkan empat pilar strategi media sosial Lon Safko dan David K. Brake: komunikasi, kolaborasi, pendidikan, dan hiburan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi pada instagram media sosial Institut Français Indonesia Bandung dan wawancara mendalam dengan informan kunci dan informan pendukung untuk mendapatkan data tentang penggunaan strategi media sosial. Hasil dari penelitian ini menjelaskan penggunaan strategi pemasaran digital untuk konten media sosial yang sesuai dan berguna untuk kelangsungan lembaga dalam menyebarkan pesan dan informasi.

Abstract

This study traces government efforts in formulating action programs in the development ofcommunity industries conducted in digital media. The government contribution here aims to inviteand provide models of economic growth, including in the field of micro, small and mediumenterprises in the field of media industry. This can be a potential that can provide prosperity forthe community in a sustainable manner. This is where the need for formulation of communitybaseddigital media development of the government of West Java. With the formulation, it isquestionable whether the government can bring the community to the digital media industry so asto foster the creative economy of society, how the processes that occur in the formulation of actionprograms, and similar questions. With descriptive and qualitative methods, this study found thatthe government has formulated policies that strongly support the development of the digital mediaindustry, as well as the general public has responded positively to government policies that haveadvocated the development of cutting-edge technology in the business field, but there are stillconstraints technical issues that must be continually refined.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic, which has rapidly moved the offline mode of learning to online in the last two years, has brought many changes in the learning culture. To be able to continue to carry out learning activities, lecturers and students must inevitably become more closely related to technology. On the other hand, learning technology which was originally only a tool for lecturers during online learning actually takes on a role on the main stage and makes lecturers alienated in their own world. Through literature searches, this research seeks to uncover various forms of human relations with online learning technology while exploring the forms and causes of alienation experienced by the humans involved in it. Based on the findings of this study, it is known that humans build relationships with learning technology in four forms, namely embodiment relations, hermeneutics relations, alterity relations and background relations. Lecturers experience alienation in online learning because they are no longer able to make themselves fully embodied in their work; lecturers also lose their feudal authority which makes themselves no more than servants to learning machines as the main instrument. Therefore, a middle ground is needed that can still bridge the direct meeting of lecturers and students, which provides opportunities and space for students to not only transfer knowledge but also gain phenomenological and critical experiences in online learning that takes place, and hybrid learning methods are one of the alternatives.

Abstract

Nowadays, the discourse of LGBT people in Indonesia’s mainstream media is still so heteronormative and religious-bias. Contrarily to the fact, there is still a media that offers an alternative even though most of Indonesian Media only covers prominent discourse regarding to LGBT people. Magdalene is the example of one of them. Through their online publication, Magdalene tries to challenge the hegemony of mainstream media which often marginalizes, subordinates, and stigmatizes LGBT people. It is quite interesting because actually Magdalene is created as feminist publication which covers the voice of women, not particularly LGBT people. This study aims to find out how the contents about LGBT people in Magdalene’s online publication is influenced by the discourse practice of the media. In conducting the analysis, researcher uses the Discourse Practice Analysis based on Norman Fairclough’s Critical Discourse Analysis. Additionally, the analysis is also based on Reese & Shoemaker’s Hierarchy of Influences on Media Content. In the end, the result shows that the discourse of LGBT people in Magdalene’s online publication is significantly influenced by personal attitudes, beliefs, and values upheld by the editorial team.

Abstract

This digital era has made human interaction, which was done face-to-face, switch to using conversation applications or social media. A meme is a popular digital object that people can save, share and create / modify. One of these memes is a WhatsApp sticker. WhatsaApp is a conversation application that is often used in the digital age. Millennials who were born in the digital era have made WhatsApp a medium to interact with each other. Interactions that were in the form of symbols in the form of language, gestures, expressions were replaced with WhatsApp sticker memes. The phenomenon that occurs on WhatsApp is the use of stickers. These stickers can be classified in the meme category because they are digital objects in the form of photos or illustrations complete with text and can be shared with other people, and can be changed or modified by each user. This research is based on the author's assumption that millennials communicate through meme stickers as a form of self-expression within the framework of symbolic interactions. The purpose of this research is to prove this assumption. This research uses a qualitative method and is seen from the theory of symbolic interaction by interviewing several millennials to see how these millennials use WhatsApp stickers based on the symbolic meaning of the stickers related to themselves. Symbolic interaction is a process of interpreting actions because symbolic meanings can be formed differently for each person. The goal to be achieved is to see whether the use of WhatsApp stickers is interpreted as self-expression that appears as a result of actions to respond to what happens in interactions with other people. The results showed that the exchange of symbols that occurred with WhatsApp stickers was interpreted and used to respond to an interaction that occurred.

Abstract

Kehilangan pekerjaan, menurunnya pendapatan dan berubahnya sistem pembelajaran adalah persoalan yang dihadapi masyarakat pada masa pandemi COVID-19 yang bisa berimbas kepada mereka yang mempunyai anak mahasiswa. Salah satu upaya menumbuhkan kesadaran untuk bertahan ditengah suasana pendemi ini adalah mencoba menumbuhkan jiwa kewirausahaan bagi masyarakat khususnya mahasiswa dengan melaksanakan komunikasi pendidikan melalui pelatihan kewirausahaan sehingga mereka bisa memulai usaha yang bisa menghasilkan pendapatan untuk membantu orang tuanya membiayai uang kuliah dan kehidupan sehari hari. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengetahuan mahasiswa tentang kewirausahaan, keterampilan mahasiswa membuat perencanaan kewirausahaan dan keterampilan mahasiswa melakukan kewirausahaan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif yaitu memberi gambaran mengenai pengetahuan,perencanaan dan pelaksanaan kewirausahaan oleh mahasiswa di pulau Jawa dan Bali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan setelah dilakukan kegiatan pelatihan pengetahuan mahasiswa mengenai kewirausahaan menjadi meningkat, dari yang tidak tahu sama sekali mengenai wirausaha menjadi tahu apa yang dimaksud dengan kewirausahaan. Keterampilan mahasiswa dalam merencanakan kewirausaha meningkat, dari yang tidak mengerti sama sekali mengenai perencanaan wirausaha menjadi mengerti dan mempraktikkan perencanaan wirausaha. Keterampilan mahasiswa mengenai pelaksanaan wirausaha meningkat, dari yang tidak pernah membayangkan suatu saat mereka akan bisa wirausaha menjadi terbayangkan bagaimana nantinya kalau mereka jadi pengusaha.

Abstract

Indonesia memiliki beragam makanan tradisional yang khas di berbagai daerah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ragam makanan tradisional di Indonesia dan makna komunikasi di balik makanan tradisional tersebut. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif kulatitatif dengan informan mahasiswa yang dipilih dengan teknik purporsive sampling. Pemilihan informan didasarkan pada asal daerah mahasiswa yang berasal dari Jawa Tengah, Jawa Barat, Jawa Timur, dan Sumatera Utara. Hasil penelitian menjukkan, bahwa meskipun makanan import banyak terdapat di Indonesia, namun makanan tradisional berbagai daerah masih dapat ditemui dan tidak ditinggalkan oleh masyarakat. Makanan tradisional berbagai daerah masih bisa bertahan, karena memiliki makna komunikasi di masayarakat. Makna yang terdapat di balik makanan tradisional adalah sebagai bagian dari ritual siklus kehidupan, simbol persaudaraan, serta akulturasi dua budaya yang berbeda.

Abstract

In today's era of modernization, women prefer to work rather than just housewives, although the workthey choose is not suitable for women. Stereotypes in societies that still assume that women areunsuited for work are increasingly faded by women themselves. They demonstrate the existence andquality of self in order to be accepted in society and to get the recognition that they are worth equallyby men. The development of the world of technology that increasingly facilitate the community indoing all activities to make other aspects of progress as well, including ease in the world oftransportation. Currently, people easily order transportation such as taxis and motorcycles only byusing the application. It is also what motivates women to show the existence and quality of self in theenvironment by doing a profession commonly done by men, which is an online motorcycle taxi driver.Although initially it is considered taboo, but the online motorcycle taxi drivers increasingly prove thatit is not feasible to be a parameter in assessing women.
