Motivasi: Jurnal Manajemen dan Bisnis is journal that publishes scientific articles in the fields of management and business sciences covering the fields of financial management, human resource management, marketing management, operational management and management information systems that are managed and published by the Management Study Program of the Faculty of Economics and Business of Muhammadiyah University of Palembang. Articles published in the Motivasi: Jurnal Manajemen dan Bisnis include original scientific research results and new scientific review articles from various academics and researchers that have not been published elsewhere. The publishing period is twice a year, namely in June and November.

Abstract

Purpose - Working capital is very important for any company,  because almost all companies need working capital to finance day-to- day activities operasinal. Companies are required to constantly improve its efficiency so as to achieve the objectives expected by the company to achieve the optimal profit.Design/methodology  -  In  the absence  of sufficient working capital,the operational activities of a company may not run smoothly. This study aims to find out how the capital adequacy ratio. This research was conducted at PT Mitra Ogan plantation Palembang. The data used are secondary data from the financial statements Plantation Mitra Ogan Palembang.Findings - Where the results of analysis of the capital adequacy ratio  at the company's work will provide an overview of how the company can manage its working capital well. If the company can use working capital well, it will obtain sufficient capital. Conversely, when the company suffered a shortage or reduction in working capital, will encourage companies to experience credit with a bank or other outside parties and may hamper the business operational.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Purpose - This study airms to determine the effect of motivation, work discipline and compensation on employee performance at PT Benwin Indonesia in Batam City.Design/methodology - The number of samples taken for this study were 103 respondents. The sample collection technique in this study was carried oit by sampling saturation. The data collection technique used in this study was a questionnaire distributed to all employees of PT Benwin Indonesia. The calculation process uses SPSS Software version 25.0. data analysis method in this research uses multiple linear regression analysis.Findings - The results showed that motivation, work discipline and parcial and simultaneous compensation significantly affected employee performance at PT Benwin Indonesia. The value of R square is 0.194 or 19.4%. this shows that motivation, work discipline and compensation influence 19,4% of employee performance while the remaining 80,6% is influenced by other variables outside of this study.Keywords :Compensation, Employee Perfomance, Motivation, Work Discipline.

Abstract

Purpose - This research aimed to find outthe effect of liquidity, leverage, and profitability on stock prices in coal mining sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.Design/methodology - For sampling using non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling method, the sample was used 12 companies. The data was needed secondary data obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange through the website www.idx.co.id and for collection data used the method. The analysis technique used in this study was multiple linear regression analysis, classic assumption test, and hypothesis testing.Findings - For sampling using non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling method, the sample was used 12 companies. The analysis technique used in this study was multiple linear regression analysis, classic assumption test, and hypothesis testing. The results of the study of multiple linear regression Y = -1,651 + 0.594 (X­_1) + 0.0760 (X_2) + 0.517 (X_3), F test (simultaneous test) with F_count18.445> F_table 2.77 or significant F 0.000 < ? 0.05 means that there was a significant influence of liquidity, leverage, and profitability simultaneously on stock prices and t test (partial test) on liquidity t_count22.267> t_table 2.0024 and significant liquidity 0.027 <? 0.05, this showed that there was a partial effect of liquidity on stock prices. At profitability t_count 6,070> ttable 2.0024 and significant leverage of 0.855> 0.05 this indicates that there was no partial leverage effect on stock prices and significant profitability of 0,000 <0.05 this indicates that there was a partial effect of profitability on stock prices while the leverage tcount = 0.183 <ttable 2.0024

Abstract

Purpose - The aim of this research is to analyze the impact uses of and service quality, costs, location, promotion of the student decision in selecting the Faculty of Economic, University of Musi Rawas.  Design/methodology - This research uses a questionnaire and data is collected by having questionnaires of 73 respondents. The population of this research is 272 students of Faculty of Economic, University of Musi Rawas. It is decided that the sample of this research is 73 students. This research uses simple random sampling with certain criteria as the sampling method. Then, the data is analyzed with Multiple Linear regression using computer statistical package. Findings – The author finds that the value variable of the service quality with regression coefficient 0,325, costs with the value regression coefficient -0,452, the value of the location variable regression coefficient 0,649 and promotion of variable regression coefficient 0,509 in partial significant effect  on students decision in selecting the Faculty Economic University of Musi Rawas. And the variables of the service quality, cost, location and promotion of the value of α (0,000) < 0,05 and the number R square of 0,390 simultaneous significant effect on student decision in selecting the Faculty Economic University of Musi Rawas (Y).

Abstract

Purpose - This study aims to determine the effect of the stock price with interest rate and the exchange rate as an independent variable.Design/methodology - The analysis period was 24 months starting from 2013 to 2014. The data analysis method used is descriptive analysis.Findings – The results showed that variable interest rates and exchange rates have a significant effect on stock prices with a coefficient of determination of R2 15.3%. The parsial test showed that interest rates variable have a significantly effect on the price of shares in the Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI) with the obtained results of data processing test obtained t arithmetic ≤ t table (0.003 ≤0,05) H0 is rejected. Then rate variable also significantly influence stock prices by the results obtained test data processing obtained t arithmetic ≤ t table (0.007 ≤0,05) H0 is rejected. This means that interest rates and exchange jointly affect the price of shares in real estate companies and property in the Indonesia Stock Exchange.

Abstract

Purpose - The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of motivation, compensation, competency to the Family Hope Program Assistants Performance Selatan.Design/methodology - Respondents in this study there are 262 Companion. Samples were 150 samples with a cluster sampling technique.Findings – The author finds that all of the variables as motivation, compensation, competency significantly effect on performance companion variable in South Sumatra.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Purpose - This study aims to analyze the influence of lecturer's performance on student's learning motivation; to analyze the influence of lecturer's performance and learning motivation to student's GPA; and to analyze the influence of lecturer's performance on GPA through student's learning motivationDesign/methodology - The population used is the students of Muhammadiyah University of Palembang, with the number of samples of 100 students selected using accidental sampling method. Data analysis using path analysis.Findings – The result of the research shows that (1) there is influence of performance and time discipline, course material, lecturing strategy, and lecture evaluation simultaneously to student learning motivation. Partially only lecturing strategy, and lecture evaluation which have positive and significant influence. (2) there are influence of appearance and time discipline, course material, lecturing strategy, lecturing evaluation, and student's motivation to student's GPA. However, only lecture strategies, lecture evaluations, and learning motivations have a positive and significant influence. (3) Indirectly, the strategy of lecturing and evaluation of lectures affect the student's GPA through learning motivation.
